Nestled alongside the Fox River, and including a full-service container bar, our patio comes alive 12 months out of the year with a heated seasonal enclosure during the winter months.

Looking to host a party? Our private dining room adjacent to the brew house is certain to bring together small to medium sized private events in a vibrant sit down or cocktail environment.

While our beer is certainly the front man of this band, the supporting musicians are excellent players! Just an upscale bar. If that is what you like, you will love this place. No real atmosphere, loud, average tables/chairs.... I guess it is a good place to meet with a large group but if you are looking for a cozy place to enjoy dinner, this is not it. The hamburgers are great, the Nashville Hot chicken not so great. It was VERY small for the price you pay and no hot flavor at all. Not really much of any flavor. Maybe sitting outside in the summer would be better.

Exceptional waitress who knew the menu and did not steer us wrong on what to order. The food and drinks were all yummy!

I got the pepperoni flatbread ! Loved it . Also got the pickle spears enjoyed those as well.

The food was just mediocre at best. Rice was undercooked, we informed our server and said, “Ya, we’ve been hearing that a lot from folks.”

We went for the Rueben showdown tasted 6. It was so fun and enjoyed almost all but had a favorite also. It didn’t win but came runner up and will be on the menu. It was called the Ed Sheeran. We can’t wait to go back for the Taco showdown on Cinco De Mayo! We’ve always enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Alter and this special event did not disappoint.

We had a group of 9 and had a table in the tent area near the river. Heaters kept us warm and the views were great. Enjoyed the beers and food.
