Food was excellent and service was good. Noise level made hearing conversation difficult. Pet peeve is waiters who pour wine from carafe without asking and too quickly.

Every single dish is outstanding! Love the cauliflour appetizer and the crunchy meatballs. Actually every appetizer was delicious. The bronzino was the best we ever had. Pasta bolognese fabulous. We've been here several times and it has become our favorite.

You can always count on Alta Strada to serve up a great meal in a friendly atmosphere. We were there for New Year's Eve and enjoyed all the courses from the Fixed Price Menu including the accompanying wines. We would come here for the bread and olive oil alone, but can't pass up on the delicious meals and desserts too.

We loved the food, the atmosphere, and the fact that we got a cozy corner table for one of our very few nights out. Also love the house-made limoncello!

While we enjoyed our time at the restaurant, it was very loud (even tho we were by a wall)----and I felt that the food was overpriced. ($220 plus tip for a glass of wine, salad and pasta for four).
The food was very good and well-presented. However we had no bread plates so were balancing the bread in our hands while awaiting our appetizers. Then the entrees were ready before we were all finished with our salads. So timing could have been better.
Thanks for asking.

We love Alta Strada! The food is consistently good, and the service is always excellent. We enjoy getting several of the delicious appetizers to share. The pasta is homemade and irresistible.

Our family has celebrated together on Christmas Eve at Alta Strada for many years now. It's consistently a great meal with some of us choosing fish and others a delicious pasta. We start with several appetizers - this year it was the calamari and the meatballs. We always end with the spectacular tiramisu. The staff is attentive, warm and welcoming. Loved the Holiday sweaters this year.

Always consistently good! Don't miss the grilled octopus and prosciutto with fig jam on toast. Homemade pasta and pizza, branzino, steak, and a delicious roasted chicken. Small menu but it hits the spot for everyone.

I think they need to work on their brunch. The service was very slow. Our coffees were late, the drinks were not good (the bartender was not in and the waitresses were making them), and our appetizer was served after our meals came. The table next to us sent their food back and the table in front of us took forever just to get bread.

Impossibly noisy on a Saturday night. Several dishes were much too salty. Pasta entres were expensive and small portion size. Staff tried and did provide a dessert as a make up.

Excellent as usual. Very busy, but attentive and friendly server. Duck pasta, homemade ricotta were delicious. They split our salad without us even asking. Cocktails are simple and extremely well made.

Good service and high quality food. Terribly small portions for the price, from salad to entree to dessert. Commands high priced in downtown Wellesley but better choices in surrounding towns for comparable prices

Our server was attentive, but did not warn us (nor did the menu) that one item was exceptionally spicy. So do ask your waiter about individual dishes, if this is an issue for you! And I love spicy food-- so this was really spicy!
Nice ambience, happy atmosphere, great food! And a nice selection of gluten free options.

I have been to this restaurant before and it was much better than this time. Unfortunately, it was just very very average and underwhelming time time around. Our waiter was in a some sort of daze and very unenthusiastic to be there on a Tuesday night. We had to constantly ask him for everything and then he would disappear for 5-6 minutes at a time (even there it was not busy that evening). The food was OK but not outstanding. The toast on my calamari app was charded and tasted aweful. The veggies in my duck dish were overcooked and dry and crunchy. Sorry.......this was not worth $300 (for 3). There are many more better options. I will skip this place next time.

We can't say enough about the genuine hospitality that was offered when we arrived for dinner that was dependent on flights being on time into Logan. The flights weren't but the staff at Alta Strada assured us we would be served. It was late in the evening on a Monday night. They were so accommodating and the food was worth the anxiety over delayed flights. We had a delicious meal. Everything was a cut above the normal suburb Italian meal. This one delivered.

Went for brunch here on a Sunday. Food was good, and it was hard to choose off the menu because of the varied options. Everything sounded delicious.
I ordered the proscuitto di parma with fig jam but they had run out of it. Chose truffle mac and cheese which was tasty. Short rib hash with poached eggs was cooked perfectly.

The staff seemed rushed and rushed us a few times. Not detailed oriented, and seem to do only their task. Was brought coffee but no milk or sugar, and no one asked if I wanted any. A bit abrupt. Not sure if it was because there was a private party going on. Would try again, the food is worth it.

I’ve enjoyed eating there in the past, but on this occasion I and others in our party were struck by how small the entree potions were. We don’t expect large portions, but the serving sizes we were given were exceedingly small for the price. Some of the items were good, or very good, while others were just okay. Service during the second half of our meal was very slow. Initially, we planned to order coffees and desert, but by the time the server returned to our table, so much time had elapsed that we had to request the check and leave.

The location is nice, the food choices are limited and not very exciting, nothing special. Everything is fairly pricey, Pasta with a meat sauce at $23? Apps at $12-18? Been there, wouldn't go back.

Hadn't been there for a number of years and was somewhat disappointed. Food is decent but ambiance isn't that pleasant and somewhat noisy. Service is spotty. Mostly, everything seems a little overpriced for the portion size, the wines especially. Paid $54 for a bottle that retails typically for $14. I understand doubling the price, but this is way too much. Seems more like a place that is intent on making money in upscale Wellesley, rather than providing quality.

We had a nice brunch and were impressed with the menu. There were some takes on traditional brunch items as well as some non-traditional. Good diverse selection. Bloody Mary's were excellent but the orange Mimosa was a bit flat. Amazing bread. The only disappointment was the truffle mac and cheese app. It was lacking any type of sauce and was dry. I had a meatball app and just swabbed the noodles in the red sauce. In retrospect, I should have said something to the waiter. The setting and ambiance were great and the service attentive. I would go back, but be more selective about my order.
