Alta Strada is outstanding....my family and myself dine there frequently. The food is well prepared and delicious. There is nothing I do not like about Alta Strada. the wait staff is knowledgable, courteous and efficient. I recommend it to all my friends.
Average, service was a bit slow but sincere.
The bathrooms were disgusting and unkempt.
Good food and atmosphere...fun for a date night or group outing.
Alta Strada has been our reliable neighborhood restaurant for years. Unfortunately on this last visit we felt that we were in a totally different restaurant. The staff were personable as always but very disorganized. Most importantly, all three of our entrees were a major disappointment. The pasta did not seem fresh, the butternut squash not cooked well, the usually good chicken dish was overcooked and a much smaller portion. The arugula salad was excellent as was the cheesecake selection. Staff was confused by my use of an open table gift card. I hope that this was just a one night glitch but if on our next visit the food is as poor we will not return to Alta Strada.
Great food, but odd service
I made a mistake on our dining time
The restaurant tried to call us but I didn’t get the message
The host found us sitting 30 minutes later
And the evening wasn’t ruined
We thank them
The staff couldn’t of been nicer
And as always the food was great!
Overall it was a good experience. Food is always great. Service was a little slow tonight.
Our food server was fantastic and we really enjoyed our time and food at the restaurant. I hope to come back soon.
Nice neighborhood restaurant, excellent pasta,salads,bread....everything. Nice servings they don't overdo it.
Waiter was extremely helpful and nice. Entree service was a little slow but suspect that was due to time to cook my pork loin dish.
We love Alta Strada! It is a gem in Wellesley. Consistently great service. They handle food allergies very well. I've never had an issue with my celiac. Every meal I've had there has been excellent. The menu has something for everyone, from the more adventurous to picky eaters. It is a favorite.
Lovely Sunday Brunch with my family. I love this restaurant. Have never had a bad experience. They are also wonderful about nut allergies for anyone with concerns.
It was our first time dining at Alta Strada. I wished we lived closer because we would go every week. Our server Doug was amazing. The food outstanding next time we go to the Natick Mall, we’ll eat there again.
The food is wonderful, but on our last two visits we have been put off by the aggressive upselling throughout the meal. For example: "That wine is good, but you can get this better wine for $9 more." or "For $6 more you can get extra seafood." or "No dessert? But you didn't get an antipasto so sure you can!" or "You really don't want coffee? It's very good."
This happened with two different servers on occasions months apart, so it seems like the house policy. We like the food, but we will choose other options in the future. Ordering dinner shouldn't involve pressure and haggling every step of the way.
Always excellent service and wonderful food!
Our family has been going to Alta Strada for years. This was our first time going with our son since he was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. All of their pasta dishes can be made with gluten free pasta and most if not all of their entrees are gluten free as well. Our server was very knowledgeable about Celiac and the restaurant's protocol for serving gluten free meals. Thank you!
Nice local option. Always good.
We eat regularly at Alta Strada and the food is both reliably pretty good and overpriced. For the most part, managers and staff are very attentive. The menu could use some updating. I would suggest bringing back the Tri Color Insalate as salads lack variety. Pasta portions are much too small for the price. Entrees are on the high side for a suburban restaurant so we usually eat pizza and salads. I had previously recommended that Alta Strada consider offering "half portion desserts at half price"--for example, a half portion of Marscaporeos. Many of us who are forever watching our weight would enjoy sharing a few small bites of dessert but won't order a whole dessert as calorie count is too high.
Fabulous pasta at great prices, great service, good wine list but a tad expensive.
We always enjoy our food here - and it has proved to be consistent over several years. Service too. The manager came to our table - spent a few minutes talking with us and gave us his card.
Overpriced and the tables were jammed. Lots of kids, high noise level and the waitstaff was intrusive. We were out of there in 55min and would not stay for dessert. Not going back
Wonderful evening as usual! My partner and I so appreciate their attention to our dining experience. 💖Alta Strada.
Consistently delicious, authentic and freshly prepared Italian cuisine. Always an excellent meal with professional service.
Absolutely fantastic meal. All home made sauces and pasta. Really hit the taste buds well.
Food was so delicious! Great italian that wasn't generic and boring but also wasn't pretentious and over complicated. Just great food and great vibe in the restaurant - it was packed! Awesome service too.
We were warmly greeted, quickly seated and graciously served 2 wonderful pasta dishes. The beer and wine selections are solid, but pricier than we’ve paid elsewhere. Service, presentation and taste were all A+ with one exception. The chocolate cannoli was under-whelming, filled with light mousse rather than dense, rich ricotta which we prefer.
Although we dined st 5:30, the noise level quickly increased. It’s difficult to enjoy a sustained conversation; we’d recommend coming on the late side for a quieter, more romantic mood.
I ordered the bolognase and found it to be watery and unevenly cooked. The noodles were often time in lumps.
Food was wonderful. Friend and I had 2 pasta dishes (bolognese and mushroom ravioli)...both fresh, well seasoned, delicious. Serving sizes were perfect. We tried the homemade ricotta which was very good. After dinner we decided to try the marscapone with cookies...incredibly delicious. I would definitely recommend Alta Strada... It's not a big space and a bit noisy.
Excellent service and the food is always amazing. Tried several wine and food selection recommendations from the server and all were outstanding. Honestly, one of the best places in the area to dine with family and friends.
Portion of mushroom luna pasta was so tiny it was hardly satisfying. Eggplant pa listed as an appetizer was a full satisfying portion. Menu has changed for the worse
My daughter's chicken was mediocre. The asparagus was very overcooked. My salmon was oily and left an unpleasant aftertaste. The brussel sprouts arrived cold and hard. I sent them back for further cooking. They came back only slightly more cooked, slightly warm and many were still hard. My husband liked his Bolognese pasta.
Sunday Brunch, excellent food, high quality and hot from kitchen - service was great. Restaurant was relatively quiet as it was a 3 day weekend with holiday - all the better for those of us that dined.
Pleasant as always. Wonderful wait staff. Timing btw courses good.
Food was very good but service was lacking. And with the cost of the meals, that should not have been the case.
Alta Strada never disappoints - very good food and service - very attentive wait person who was also very knowledgeable about the wine.
Excellent food. Evening spoiled by noisy dining room.
Portions are extremely small for the price. Food is excellent however.
We went for Valentines Day and enjoyed the 4 course, fixed dinner to share they they offered.
Although it was busy, the service was great, and so was the food. Each dish was cooked perfectly!
