The food is very fresh and flavorful. Make sure to try anything with their mozzarella, ricotta or any other cheese. I’ve never had ricotta that good. All of their pastas are freshly made and their fish was very good with a nice sauce. The chicken parm was also amazing.

Beer selection was limited as was the food menu overall. Food was good, not great. Service was average to slow. Prices were a little above what we would expect for what was provided. Across the board, meh. Would not return again.

Came for my friends birthday and had put in the reservation to have them put “happy birthday” on her dessert plate, but sadly didn’t happen. We were seated quickly but it seemed like the wait staff forgot about us as we had to flag down many people to order our drinks and meal. The pasta is so delicious and the s’mores dessert is amazing!

Everything was amazing here! We went for my birthday dinner and it was definitely worth it. My only issue was that it was a little loud. Other than that - delicious food, great ambiance, and very friendly service!

Alta Strada is one of my favorite go to restaurants. The food is always outstanding, with interesting specials and a nice prix fixe three course meal. Service is great. There is a lively bar area. The only reason I’m not giving Alta a 5 is because of noise. Loud music, combined with the noise from the bar area can make this place uncomfortable for those trying to have a quiet conversation. Staff are cooperative about adjusting the volume, but it would help to nix the music during prime dining hours.

The food overall was very good quality and it came out nice and hot. What wasn't very good was the service that was provided to us by our waiter. I'm not sure if he was just inattentive, not trained well or both, but we had problems from the get go.

First, we didn't receive any napkins with our silverware, then the appetizers didn't all come out at the same time. We had to remind him about the grilled Octopus that never came. He then goes to the kitchen to check and then he magically appears with our appetizer. It had just been sitting there waiting for him so he obviously forgot about it. Then the dinner part of the meal arrives. The pizza we ordered for the table didn't come out with the rest of the entrees. When it did come, he forgot to add sausage to the pizza as we had ordered it. On top of this, the waiter never bothered to offer us the complementary table bread and olive oil. Everybody else around us had it except our table.

We then tracked down a manager and explained what was going on. She ended up comped us a free pizza, 2 glasses of wine and free desserts. Our bill was a lot cheaper than it would have been and they took care of us at the end. They definitely need to take a look at improving their service quality.

Everything was going great - but there was a hair in my entree. The manager never came by to apologize or check in, neither did the server. They did give us a free salad and dessert and comp that entree. But I found it strange that no one actually acknowledged the hair or check in on us once it was found. Food was ok, probably won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, we were crammed into a small table in the bar despite having reservations and didn’t have water for 3/4 the meal. I think we were forgotten by the waitstaff. We had to ask for the check a few times at the end, too. I hate to say this, but I don’t think I’d recommend this place since we’ve been there twice and had bad service both times, but maybe you’ll have better luck.

Very good food. Server was excellent. Only minor complaint was that the appetizers came out quickly and then we had a fairly extended wait for the main course. Not sure if it was bc of the two pizzas we ordered. Would not stop us from going again, however.

Green salads need more dressing... perhaps serve with dressing on the side?
Tagliatelle’s boloñeses sauce also a bit dry.

Alta Strada is one of my favorite restaurants. Great location and nice ambiance. Didn’t drink this past visit but cocktails are always good. Staff is friendly and attentive. This most recent visit we shared the ricotta appetizer as well as the arugula salad which were delicious. Ordered the lasagna bolognese as my entree which was on the speciality menu. Came out hot and bubbly however I was disappointed to find the lasagna was cool to lukewarm in the center. Didn’t want to put a damper on my friends dining experience so just ate my meal. I was told the pasta was made fresh that morning but seems to me it may have been previously frozen.

The food and service were both excellent. My ravioli was really fabulous. The restaurant was a bit noisy and crowded, but it was a Saturday evening. We were appreciative of the booth location to the back/side of the restaurant which afforded us a quieter spot. I'd definitely go back and recommend the restaurant to others.

Best place in Mosaic (and the surrounding area) to go for dinner. Always excellent food, expansive wine list, and spot on service. Do everyone a favor though and make a reservation. Don't expect to walk in and get a table on a Saturday night, even a cold and rainy one...

Already recommended Alta Strada in Mass and NoVA. Food was better than 5 stars. My only issues are that it is so loud, it's hard to talk. Also, after being seated, we got water from the busboy who said our waiter would be right there. 15 minutes later we were still sitting there. Finally my husband asked a waitress who was walking by if she could please find our waiter. She came back a few minutes later, told us that she wasn't our waitress, but she did take our order. Granted, we did arrive early for our reservation. We often do this because in many restaurants, even with a reservation, we still end up waiting 10-20 minutes. At the end they did give us a free dessert, but that may have been because it was my birthday. Overall it was a nice time and the food was amazing.

He was also very attentive and knew when to ask if there was anything else needed. Recommend a reservation especially after 6:00 pm. Food was absolutely delicious!! Service was ok, but the food was terrible. My husband had to send his first meal back because it literally inedible, and the second wasn’t much better. We ended up splitting mine, which was decent, not great. Won’t be back.

Valentine's Day was our third time coming to Alta Strada. The food is always great and the wait staff has been very friendly. I was surprised there didn't seem to be anything special for Valentine's Dinner, although I saw they did have a brunch. It can be very noisy and some of the vegetarian pasta options seem overpriced, but overall this is a great place.

My wife and I shared an early Valentine's dinner. Service was excellent. The food was excessively salty, both the pizza and branzino, and the pizza was underbaked, so crust was doughy and not crispy. Wine was overpriced at 3 times retail. I don't mind 2 times retail at a restaurant, but 3 times retail price is irritating. I would still recommend for pizza / salad lunch special based on a previous visit to Alta Strada.
