   Delicious meal. The lasagne was amazing and so unique, the homemade pasta was so good The lamb and gnocchi were exquisite. The Caesar salad was also so good. Highly recommend!

   We went on date night. Server was attentive but he didn’t have much personality. The food was presented very nicely and seasoned well. Hubby had the octopus and I had the boar. The design was beautiful and decorated nicely. My only thing was I was quite loud.

   Great service. Pulpo was great! RIsotto was undercooked and when I mentioned to server, as an FYI, she shrugged and said, OK. "I'm sorry to hear". Not necessarily answer I would have expected.

   The food was delicious with large portions. We had the warm burrata salad that was to die for and the tuna, salmon and octopus appetizer that was exceptionally delicious. Ended with the grouper which was on the salty side but delicious. Our cocktails were very original. I had the Venetian. Excellent and hard working waiter! Gorgeous restaurant. One thing I would change is to seat more customers in the front of the restaurant instead of the back. Not sure why they did that.

   Phenomenal experience. Best prepared seafood anyone could hope for. Staff extremely knowledgeable and personal without the stuffiness of some restaurants. Will return every time we visit St. Augustine.

    What a gem in the middle of St. Augustine's downtown! Alta Marea is magnificent, from start to finish. Incredible food, incredible staff, perfection on every plate. GM Brian runs the floor with precision, a hug and a smile, while Beverage director Stacy has developed a drink menu that highlights the Italian coastal heritage of chef/owner Simone Parisi's youth. A dinner we will never forget and plan on repeating soon. I can't make a suggestion - every dish is spot-on delicious. An evening at Alta Marea is like a night surrounded by loving family.

    If you are looking for a gourmet restaurant with excellent food, try this St. Augustine restaurant. We went to Alta Marea last year. We liked it so much, we booked it for our small wedding reception on March 1, 2022. Everyone raved about the food and service. We returned yesterday to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. My husband had the seafood carpaccio as his appetizer and I had the warm burrita caprese (pictured). Both were excellent. For our main course, I chose the filet which was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth tender, my husband had the wild boar with homemade pappardelle . We both enjoyed our meal tremendously. If you are looking for someplace special with a little different menu, this is a place to visit in St. Augustine.

    Was delicious but in a tourist city where families are traveling together the lack of any kid’s options is a problem. Most Italian restaurants even if they don’t have any official kids menu off a side of pasta and red sauce or something… I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect a parent to order their child a $40 plate of food that they will only eat a portion of.

    Gorgeous restaurant, homemade pasta, delicious drinks and so very accommodating. Manager Brian and his wife, Stacy (bartender) were so warm and welcoming. This will be our go to spot every time we come to St. Augustine!

    First time there and my husband and I were so disappointed. Why? Here goes: $8 for bread that was not good and frozen butter! I had the pasta with clams 8 tiny clams with a broth that had no flavor, no seasoning and certainly had zero clam taste and no wine as the menu states. My husband had the wild boar dish. Weird doesn’t even describe this dish! Has anyone there ever been to Italy? Cinnamon sticks, raisins, chocolate, along with severely over cooked boar in tomato sauce. This should never be put together and served on one plate. Our server asked my husband what he wanted to drink and then darted off without asking me. She was all over the place and had poor table serving experience! If you’re looking for good Italian food, this is not the place! Forgettable doesn’t even describe this restaurant more like put it into oblivion

    Food was good but could have used a bit more zest/spice. Our dissatisfaction was mainly because we were forced to do an (expensive) fixed price meal, which was at all clear when we booked. Then none of the desserts we ordered were available and the waiter brought out other desserts without a word of apology, just explaining they were out of the others. The desserts delivered went mostly uneaten (they weren’t what we wanted), but no recognition of this in the final bill.

    Over priced fixed price menu for Valentines Day. For 75.00 a person plus bar and 20% automatic service fee, I would expect world class service and a wide variety on the menu. No vegetarian option. Deserts were clearly taken from the freezer as they came frozen. We got there at 6:45 and at 8:30, still no main course. Will not return.

    Lovely first time dining. Noise level was pretty loud since there’s a lot of hard surfaces for sound to bounce off. But we were still able to converse across our table to each other. Sleek and modern decor. Great looking bar!! Menu was specific to Valentines Day but all choices made were delicious. It was a very busy night but that’s probably due to Valentine night. We look forward to a return visit. A great date spot!

    The food and service were delightful. Brian was our server and he took amazing care of us. We had a group with huge appetites and ordered the beet salad, grilled ceaser, the bread service, ahi tartare, and frutti mare appetizers. Each was delicious and beautifully presented. For dinner we had several specials including a seafood lasagne, grilled branzino and rigatoni with steak tips. These we also excellent. The branzino was served whole and was light, flaky and delicious. From the regular menu we had the papardelle cinghale and pistachio crusted lamb chops. The papardelle had fork tender chunks of boar and was very tasty and filling. The lamb was perfectly flavored and cooked. We had the chocolate mousse cake and the tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu was light and fluffy with just the right amount of coffee flavor. The chocolate mousse cake was decadent. Highly recommend the restaurant!!

    Inconspicuous exterior, with elegant dining inside. Right in the heart of historic district at the entrance to Aviles St (oldest street in US). All the dishes looked fabulous and unique.

    We definitely enjoyed everything about last nights first experience at Alta Marea. From the first second walking in to see the clean modern look of the restaurant, to the excellent professional service and attention to detail, this was a treat. The wine list is something special as are the cocktails. The food was fantastic. Unique dishes, served perfectly left nothing to be desired. We will be back to this gem regularly.

    In a word, fabulous. If you really like food and appreciate the subtleties of flavors, spices, and great wine this is your place. Our server, Jay, and the manager, Brian helped us select an outstanding Brunello that paired exceptionally well with our meal. We had several courses, all perfectly prepared, including a misto seafood appetizer to an unbelievable burratta salad to a fine rigatoni and filet tip Ragu. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Don’t miss this gem in St Augustine.
