Perfect just perfect

Can't wait to return! We loved Alta Calidad. The food was outstanding. Everything was so fresh and tasty - we had guacamole, shrimp tacos, beef tacos, and the tres leches cake. Everything was incredible! We will be back. The margaritas were excellent, too. And the 'real deal' - not sweet and syrupy at all, but delicious!

Really wanted to love this place but the food was mediocre at best, the service was terrible, the tables was very small and music very loud. I would not go back unfortunately.

We made a reservation to eat here before we went to a concert. We felt very rushed by the staff. We had originally requested a high top table, thinking we would be sitting across from each other. Instead we were sitting next to each other looking out the window. I asked to switch to a table, however the staff was not able to accommodate us since they said they had tables reserved because of the concert, however there was other high top tables available not looking out the window. I was still eating my food when the waitress came over twice to ask me if I’m done or if we want to order dessert. Instead I ordered another margarita. I understand that it can become busy because of a concert going on, but it made the experience very unenjoyable because it felt like they were kicking us out, meanwhile I had a reservation and we were only there for about an hour.

Dinner was delicious, the Roti was probably the highlight. Margaritas also excellent but end of the night mezcal was undoubtedly the highlight. Only complaint was vegan options were limited.

Even with a reservation at 2:15pm, we made a mistake going at this hour on a Saturday. I've been to Alta Calidad a million times and I've never seen it that busy. We weren't seated until 2:45ish. I could tell they felt bad, but it was a zoo. I highly recommend this place, but choose your time wisely.

No place to hand a jacket. Extra 50 cents for each chip with appetizer, miserly feel. Most unhappy, unsmiling staff- glum, tired, just lost their dog look. Please increase the meds.

Perhaps its better for dinner but we were underwhelmed by what was overcooked, seemingly reheated meat with eggs cooked onto it and unexciting flavour profiles in general.

Margaritas were delicious. Food for 2 should be capped at 4 dishes because at 5 I was super full. For the record, we ordered 6 dishes and that was just too much DELICIOUS FOOD...

Had so many amazing dishes. Ceviche, steak tacos, calamari, but the absolute best was al pastor. So good we ordered it twice.
You won’t forget the al pastor.

Wrong combination of flavours, hurried up service, not even the time to finish the starter that the following dish was already on the table. Definitely overpriced

Very quick service!

I say quiet because I was there for an early lunch; I imagine it could be fast noisier when the restaurant is full.
The food was simple, delicious, and very Mexican. It was hard to decide what to order, it all looked so good!
The service was friendly, proper, and attentive, without being cloying.
This was me first visit and I look forward to my next!

We had a late flight in and were pleased that they were open late and we made a reservation for 10:15. It's a small plates focused menu so we ordered a few drinks and a few things right away and were going to order more, but the waiter said the kitchen was closed. My husband said, "I wish you had told us about that." We are very used to restaurants saying the kitchen is about to close last call or inform you when you order, but to not say anything at all is just not good customer service. The waiter said he was sorry, but he was inattentive and checked out the whole night and I don't think he really cared. I think he just wanted to go home. As for the drinks and food....The drinks were good and the food only so so. I recently visited Mexico and am a Californian so I admit my standards are high, but Alta Calidad didn't come close to meeting them. We left hungry, annoyed, and underwhelmed.

Love Alta Calidad! Their bottomless brunch is incredible, food and ambiance is great. Love this Brooklyn neighborhood spot.

The steak tacos were incredibly dry and under-seasoned. The tempura shrimp tacos were not flavorful either and almost burnt. Plus we were charged $7 for still water???

I have had good experiences previously at Alta Calidad, but the friend I brought with me had never been - and for the cost of our bill she was very disappointed in the quality and I was embarrassed! This can no longer be a go to spot for me.

The food was very good but came so quickly that I should have been suspicious. We two were literally starting to be hustled out of our table after we had been there just over an hour— and there was no one waiting for it table We had two drinks and didn’t want to be rushed. We rebuffed the pressure as long as we could, but it was relentless and crude In fact, I had noted on the reservation that it was a birthday, so thought that might have given us a breather — but no. This restaurant has good food and a nice ambience overall, but the manager is an awkward mistake on the staff.
