Wonderful meal, delicious food and beautifully presented. The mushroom ravioli was one if the best I have ever eaten. My friend’s dessert was an absolute picture - the lemon yoghurt mousse - and tasted as good as it looked. Service was friendly and efficient. Beautiful view from table, lots of eagles soaring. Recommended.
Awesome dinner. Dessert outstanding !!!!!!!
Breakfast next morning really great too!!!!
Will be back 👍
Good food, good service, great view. My only complaint is that it was a bit hot in there which was a little uncomfortable. But overall a great experience, was perfect for our anniversary dinner.
The restaurant was stunning a clean, and the server was excellent! We got the pasta and although it was delicious we found the portion a bit small for the price, would have at least liked to have seen a slice of garlic bread on the side or something. We were also bummed that there was no view due to smokey conditions (that was not fault of the restaurant though and did not affect the rating). Our bill came to $80 for a beer, coffee & 2 pastas.
The service was amazing. It was the best I've had in a long time. I was treated with respect and kindness. The food was amazing as well, main course, wine, dessert and breakfast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Excellent service everyone was polite and friendly. Spacing was great between tables. All staff wore proper safety equipment.
The restaurant was empty the waitress gave me a table in front of the toilet.
I wish I had a tablecloth on the table.
We ate here several times over the course of our stay at Villa Eyrie and while staying at the resort was absolutely lovely, the food could absolutely have been better. Nothing was awful, not at all, but over all there was a lack of seasoning, no specials (except one night they rolled out a special wiener schnitzel menu; I’d had their regular schnitzel the night before and the pork was pounded way too thin and was flavourless), and just expensive for what you get. My fave meal here was the breakfast (altho neither of the potato options are very good. They both seem like they were prepared ages ago and reheated as ordered). Avocado toast was very good! Servers are all lovely tho :)
Amazing meal with a beautiful view. Definitely go for a unforgettable dinner.
Thank you so much villa eyrie staff ! Especially Annabelle at front desk
The view is spectacular! The food was tasty, but found the fish (Halibut) a little dry. Other patrons spoke a little loud, and we were kept to our 2 hour reservation time limit were others were not. I would go again, but I just wouldn't expect as much from the food, service, and noise level.
Beautiful scenery and wonderful views of both mountain and sea.
This is a fabulous resort. It is located in a somewhat isolated location without signage, so a first time visitor might need a GPS to locate the correct turn off from the highway. We had no issues with the booking and check-in was simple. The room was gorgeous, very clean, and welcoming. I would not give 5 stars for the food, since the restaurant was out of 'Breast of Duck' by 7:00 PM and the remaining dinner options did not excite me. The wine selection was limited and also quite dear as well. However, the outdoor views are fantastic and despite Covid times, the overall experience will be remembered by both of us!
Service was great. View from the window was very pleasant and surroundings were quiet and comfortable. The mushroom ravioli was fantastic. Duck and seafood linguine were very good. Wine by the glass is pricey. Buy the whole bottle! Overall, somewhat expensive but good value.
Absolutely the best dining experience! Staff was remarkable and everything was perfect. I would highly recommend the resort but especially the restaurant.
Lovely breakfast, good value for quality and quantity of food. We had a table with an amazing view of Saanich Inlet. Absolute delight to see eagles flying as we ate.
Our server was wonderful, friendly and efficient, just sorry I cannot recall her name.
The food was good and our server also good. However we were disappointed, having booked as a special occasion it didn’t meet our expectations. The hostess was brusque and off hand and seated us at one of the very few tables with no view, the view makes this restaurant special. We were told the restaurant was busy and the attitude was take it or leave it. We stayed but were surprised in view of this that other diners were being given temporary tables and then moved to those with lovely views as they became available, not offered to us. Nothing special in the evening at all so we felt quite let down.
However to be fair, management were genuinely very apologetic when advised of this and sent a delicious dessert to our room later on. Just a pity that the evening had already been compromised. We would dine there again as the food is excellent and usually the service is good too.
Food was amazing complemented by awesome staff service and fantastic views. Will definitely go back and highly recommended.
Overall amazing experience. My partner and I were treated like VIPs the second we entered the restaurant and our waiter was especially pleasant. We dined two nights in a row during our visit because it was so good!
We were Celebrating a milestone birthday that was mentioned to the staff and they didn’t do anything to acknowledge it. We made a reservations and had to wait for a table, and when I asked for an update in timing, the server Was rude and told me they were busy and everyone else made a reservation too.
Food was fantastic... however they run out of a few things that I requested they should have a better stock on everything considering people do reservations, but other than that food was exquisite 👌
wonderful food and service ..... the view was spectacular, also recommend staying the night. So amazing sitting on the balcony enjoying the morning water and mountain view!
Food delicious and service friendly. Good portions and the starters particularly were excellent value. Only disappointment, I found the wine list limited if you wanted white wine by the glass. Only Chardonnay and sweeter whites. Why no Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Gris? There was however a decent dry rose which sufficed. Wonderful views, would definitely go again.
Excellent setting, ambience and service. Staff are very accomodating
Very great place to eat, good service and excellent food
WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING AS WAS THE SERVICE.
Well prepared food with a beautiful view. Atmosphere was quiet, relaxed and welcoming. Staff were attentive and thoughtful. Worth a trip for the view and a meal.
We got married at the Villa Eyrie in 2017, and have made it a tradition to do a family brunch at the restaurant on our anniversary. My husband and I also stayed the night for a very romantic evening, overnight and morning. We were surprised with a big upgrade to our room upon check in. The room and food is always fabulous. Customer service is top-notch and ofcourse the Villa itself and views are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend. This is the best place on the island.
My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner. We sat outside and it was lovely. The glass barrier stops the wind. The food was delicious.
The waitress recommended the appetizer and it was very good.
All of the staff was excellent during these difficult times and very professional really enjoyed our time there
Absolutely amazing view and lovely atmosphere. Kind staff, great food. Only drawback was inconsistent wait times for our main course. Appetizer came out right away but main took at last and hour, maybe 1.5hrs to arrive while others that were seated after us had been served and were onto dessert before our main course had arrived. This wasn't a big deal as we were enjoying the view and atmosphere, but was puzzling as we looked around to other tables.
Great views , delicious food, outstanding service.
Wonderful breakfast spot. My first time there. Really enjoyed the service and the food. The view of Finlayson Arm and the Olympic Mtn. range is quite amazing.
Was absolutely incredible especially the staff
We have enjoyed dinner at Alpina every night during our stay at Villa Eyrie Resort...also breakfasts. It is a beautiful restaurant with magnificent views. The food is wonderful and the staff are really friendly. We are loving it here!
Wonderful view. We had a great table and excellent service. Loved my cocktail that was created specifically for my needs and dietary limitations. Food is amazing and of high quality. I will keep coming back.
The view in the restaurant is amazing. The food was perfect. We had breakfast as well as dinner in the restaurant. I would highly recommend the avocado toast for breakfast. Very flavourful and there was lots of avocado. The egg was also cooked perfectly.
Dinner was similarly full of flavor and the presentation was lovely. We will definitely be back to the the Villa Eyrie. Our experience was the best ever.
First time at this restaurant, made a reservation for our anniversary. The food was beautifully prepared, presented and the flavors out of this world. My only complaint was I thought the table setting did not reflect the elegance of the cuisine. I guess I imagined white linen table cloth/napkins.
The view and ambience were excellent. The food however was not. Drinks were $16 and not worth the value. Had to send my mojito back because it had way too much lime in it, that’s all it tasted of. I ordered pork tenderloin and it was so tough and chewy and also had to be sent back. Meals are between $30-$40 and not worth the money. For a high end restaurant I would have expected some follow up in regards to the returned drink and meal but there was none. Server apologized but that was it.
Always good to go there no matter what day of the week it is!
