Regardless of the season, you are bound to enjoy some tasty Alps-inspired food.
This was not a traditional fondue experience. The sauces were odd (lingonberry for steak)?? The quality was subpar and overall experience was outdated.
Nice visit and always enjoyable food.
Great bar services
always enjoy stopping in when skiing in Jackson wyoming. Love the cultural surroundings
Great place for fondue after skiing. A home-like atmosphere and good service.
Authentic Tyrolian Vibe with excellent food and ambiance. The fondue is fantastic and the bratwurst just incredible. Great happy hour and apres ski location.
Salad was not fresh and the entrees were cold. Service was slow and the waitress didn’t even ask why we didn’t finish our food.
Service not as good as last year and no atmosphere
Yes great old school mountain dining especially if you like Fondue!!
Usually a great dining option at Teton Village.
This time, the quality of beef provided for our main course fondue Chinoise was very poor: basically it was stewing steak, just wrong for steak that is cooked in a boiling (at 6,800ft) broth. Not a pleasant eating experience/inedible.
When, as we hope, we return, we shall likely stick to cheese fondue options.
Our Christmas Eve tradition. The menu has changed so we weren't able to order fondue (which is only served at the Bistro upstairs) but the new items were all delicious. The service was wonderful and the setting makes you feel as if you were in the Alps.
Food was fabulous, our server was attentive and super pleasant. There was a party in the bar; we couldn’t talk amongst ourselves or speak with the server without yelling. Very, very unpleasant. Once most of the partygoers left, the noise level was reasonable. Will return, but if bar...which opens into the Bistro...is noisy, we will leave and not return.
Great food and service. A little loud due to the end of the day for skiers. 😉
Alpenhof was a great choice for dinner. Great ambiance, fabulous good, and attentive wait staff. Will visit again and again.
A lovely place, I will definitely do Thanksgiving dinner again at Alpenhof. They did a great job with the Thanksgiving food and presentation.
The fondue was amazing as well as the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely come back.
It was during the off-season and was not crowded at all. This may be the main reason it was quiet. But great German food such as one rarely encounters.
The food was great for both my husband and I, but service was slow.
Very fun place
This place has the best location at the mountain and it's a real shame that the owner just doesn't care. Other than the "faux Switzerland" feel of the place and the nice selection of beer on tap served in big steins, there is nothing to recommend this place. The food is barely passible, the service is terrible and the filthy decor looks like it came from K-Mart.
PLEASE SELL TO SOMEONE WHO WILL MAKE PROPER USE OF THIS GREAT LOCATION
So we ordered a bottle of wine, and she left the bottle with no opener so we couldn’t open it ourselves and had to go in with the bottle to the bartender to open it. The restaurant had maybe 3 tables filled. We ordered a chicken fondue with broth and while the chicken came out raw for the fondue, the broth should have been hot to at least start cooking it and of course, there was no light was on the burner. I have no idea what the issue was but we will not be going back.
The food was excellent. Delicious reasonably authentic German cuisine. Unfortunately, There was not sufficient wait staff. There appeared to be one waitress, a bartender, and another woman doing odd chores. There was a table of 15, and two other tables of two each, 1of which was us. Obviously the 15 took lots of the waitress’s time and I don’t fault her for that but there should have been more staff. Perhaps that is why they weren’t busier.
We arrived early on a Friday night, with a reservation. The restaurant was nearly empty but remained that way for the next two plus hours. Service was OK but at best they ere doing their job. First visited the Alpenhof some thirty years ago and spend many a good dinner evening with family and friends.
Quite possibly the summer menu and the summer facilities (different than winter) and staff are the 'second team' but on a comparison basis, ther are many, many restaurants in the greater Jackson area that are far superior.
Our server needed much more training. Our food was very good.
We have stayed at Alpenhof for years and always looked forward to dining in their bistro. The Swiss themed menu offers some really delicious and authentic dishes. Sadly, their chef seems to have changed and so has the quality of the food. The schnitzel was tough, the goulash was one note with cubes of beef and a few potatoes in a sauce heavy on tomato and light on paprika. Seemed more like bland diner food. The one bright note is the service. Their young, international staff of servers are cheerful and eager to please.
After waiting for more than 15 minutes, nobody even cared about us and we had to leave. Horrible service.
Good Austrian food in a nice, quiet restaurant. Good beers as well. Would recommend.
Highly suggest you avoid this place. Lousy food and venue, even for a casual place in a resort town. This a poorly run/managed restaurant...you can do better.
We were the only ones in the restaurant. This is the second time this has happened. Food was good, but the ambiance was awful—totally silent and empty.
We enjoyed our family apres ski meal! The schnitzels were each very enjoyable. The kids meals were basic and happily gobbled all up. Finished with chocolate fondue which was great!!
Food is excellent - great after a day of skiing, ambience nice, service is friendly.
Tried a little of everything and loved it all. Cheese and milk chocolate fondue great, traditional German food fantastic. Would not recommend white chocolate fondue dessert.
The Wiener Schnitzel and German Riesling were exactly what I was expecting and hoping for...outstanding. Coupled with the European-style service I'm accustomed to - professional, attentive and inconspicuous, the evening capped off perfectly. I drove in from Jackson on a snowy night...I could have easily dined in Jackson, but trekked to Teton Village especially for what I knew would be a traditional German-style experience...and it was in every delightful sense.
Casual dining. Food was very good - Had Alpen fondue - two cheeses melted in a pot with bread and apples for dipping. Wiener schnitzel was excellent as was the apple strudel with huckleberry ice cream. When we arrived at seven there was a large family with several young children - it was a bit loud. Once they left it had a cozy atmosphere. Would go back
Very nice and wait staff. We enjoyed the fondue...
Right idea but terrible service and food was mediocre at best.
Great food and fun atmosphere
The fondue is to die for! Excellent dinner date!
Perfect mountain side chalet style restaurant that has great beer and even better fondue and great owners/staff that make it even better
