Four of us had a great 6-course tasting menu, with wine pairings. Every course was excellent, and the wines were perfectly paired with each course. They also were able to accommodate my food allergy with no hassle. The service was impeccable. One minor complaint was that the music was very loud, and the people 2 tables away had to shout to be heard, which meant others did, too.

We reserved a table at Alo - The Bar for our anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. The 'ninja' service was friendly and impeccable. New cutlery would magically disappear to be replaced by the sparkling new and errant spills would be wiped clean as if by the Invisible Man (or Person). The food – oh my (can we swear here?) god – the food was beautifully plated and so delicious we paused after each bite to stare pointedly at each other with amazed unabashed delight. I'm not 'the manor' born, so it's taken a few years to wrap my mind around bite-sized plates but trust me, you'll be satiated at the end of the meal. P.S. Thanks to all the waitstaff, especially Brad and Josh for making our night so special! If someone twisted my arm to find room for improvement, it would be the lighting from the large windows that backlight the bartender and anyone seated in front of you (should you be facing the window) before nighttime descends. Not sure how to fix this - maybe turning up the lighting in the bar slightly and pulling the blinds?

I have to say, I was not happy with the bar seating. The tables were extremely small and the sun positioning back lit my guest and I could not even see them. I did not know it was so separated from the main restaurant. Had I done more research, I would not have chosen this for a special occasion. While ultimately it all worked out, one of our guests was unable to make it last minute and we were told we would be charged $125. After some polite debate, we were able to get that waived. We had the six course tasting with wine pairings. The shining star of this restaurant was the service. I found it to be impeccable. Every waiter, with an exception of the Manager, were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and choregraphed. They made the experience special. I was a little disappointed with the food. My favorites were the tuna canape, foie gras, and lamb. The desserts (except peanut butter cup) were excellent. I found the A5 wagyu bland and fatty tasting and the Hamachi, the signature rice dish, and scallops a bit fishy for my tastes. The wine pairings were sublime and complimented the food extremely well. The bill was well over $1K for three people, which is higher than I was expecting, but I knew what we were getting in to with the six courses and pairings.

We had the 6 course tasting menu, which was incredible. Also did the wine pairing, which only amplified the wonderful food. Service was exceptional.

Alo The Bar was a great date night experience. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. The cocktails we had were delicious. We chose the tasting menu and every last food item was great. The presentation was down to the detail and the wine pairing was delicious. Appreciated being able to change out a few items in the tasting menu according to the specials of the night. It was delightful. Seating was comfortable, and the the noise level was great for conversation.
