Alo is an intimate contemporary French restaurant located atop a heritage building in downtown Toronto. Our cuisine is internationally inspired and celebrates the finest in seasonal ingredients paired with a genuine sense of welcome, served as a blind tasting menu by Chef Patrick Kriss.

The Bar at Alo is adjacent to our main dining room and offer à la carte options as well as a shortened seasonal tasting menu.

Alo is outfitted with a private dining room which can welcome parties up to 14 guests.

    Join us in our dining room for a new tasting menu that features the best ingredients we can source. Our menu is internationally inspired and prepared using classic French technique. We are currently unable to accommodate tasting menus for the following, either by substitution or omission of individual dishes or ingredients: allergies or aversions to dairy, eggs, seafood, soy, alliums, as well as vegan and vegetarian diets. Advance notice of all other dietary restrictions is strongly recommended to ensure that they can be accommodated. The tasting menu is currently offered at $225 per guest and does not include beverages, service charge and tax. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will be charged the full price of the tasting menu per guest.

The Kitchen Counter offers a blind multi-course tasting menu, including luxurious menu items and special courses from our Chefs.     Alo's private dining room, equipped with its own bar and kitchen, offers a six-course tasting-menu for up to 14 guests. This unique dining experience begins with a cocktail reception featuring a glass of sparkling wine and a trio of canapés. The pricing for this experience is $295 per guest exclusive of beverages, HST & 20% service charge. Wine pairings are available for an additional $125 per guest. Our private dining room is also available to be booked for lunches.                       Food was intresting, with complex multi-igredient dishes and impartially flavors. Also quantity wise there was alot of food. To the extend we got tired of eating.

                      The attention to detail is very impressive. It was hard to imagine the next course could be better than the previous, yet it was. So many pleasant surprises in terms of flavor & beautiful presentation. As for the staff, very friendly and professional, they made our experience very pleasant. A truly exceptional experience. Can’t wait to be back!
