The Brotzeitbrett was fabulous as always; was disappointed in the Hutessen - not much flavor despite the sauces. The accompanying salad was great. Also disappointed in the Kase Fondue - I had expected it to be over a flame to keep warm and fluid - it harden and cooled too quickly. The one bright shining star was our server Marcus! My 2nd time here, I was much looking forward to it and sadly was disappointed in the food. I would come back as I love the ambiance and other food I've had .

We had a late dinner after a symphony concert out on their balcony on a nice warm night. We had heard good things about the restaurant and this was a our first try. The food was excellent and was served timely by a friendly and competent waiter. My wife had pork shank and I had short ribs. Both were excellent, as were the glasses of wine suggested by our waiter. We'll be back.

Service was attentive and food delicious. The best pork shank and red cabbage I've ever had. Loved the traditional clothing the staff wore. Don't miss this when in vail.

Fantastic decor. Equally fantastic food. Our server seemed “annoyed” the entire time. Forgot our salad. A bit on the expensive side but worth it!

Almresi is our favorite restaurant in Vail! It is perfect for a romantic dinner or a large group of family and friends. Upon entering the restaurant, you are in a cozy and charming alpine atmosphere. The owners and the professional and very friendly staff welcome you and explain the European menu to you. Food is excellent!!! Try the Austrian “Hutessen” if you want some fun! Leave room for dessert! A must try restaurant when visiting Vail summer and winter.

A great find in Vail! We had a wonderful dinner, trying several dishes including the cheese fondue, potato pancakes with salmon, pork shank and short ribs. All were exceptional! Makes me hungry just writing about them! If you have room or are willing to share desert, the apple strudel was wonderful! Service was very good and the outfits and decor made you feel like you were in the Alps! We had such a good time we decided to go back on Saturday morning for Fruhschoppen, a wonderful tradition to enjoy Furstenberg Pils beer in the late morning and listen to traditional songs accompanied by an accordion and guitar. But don't forget your lederhosen if you want a free beer! Almresi will definitely be in our dining plans the next time we are in Vail.

We are so happy to have stumbled across this fairly new gem in Vail Village. Being from Germany, we always look for authentic German food and Almresi certainly did deliver. You should try the Käs'spätzle and the Bretzel. The pork dishes and salads are delicious as well. Also, be adventurous and try a Cola Weize (cola with weizen beer), its great (really). Oh and the desserts, yum. Don't do the chocolate fondu, it's American, and stick with the German desserts. We certainly will be back!

I went to Almresi with my 2 kids (9 and 5) and we all really enjoyed our experience there. The service was friendly and helpful, food was delicious (I ordered Short Rib, which was excellent) and atmosphere was one of a real alpine restaurant - cozy and fun. We are definitely coming back.

Best pretzel ever. Excellent Tomatensuppe, Schweinsax'n, Schweinelendchen, Glühwein, Fürstenberg Pils. So much food, we had to bring some home, and didn't have room for dessert. Pleasant service, not patronizing. Very good seating, looking out the window at the mountains across I-70.

We were so pleased that Alisa answered our call when her were delayed on Vail pass trying to make our reservation. She assured us she could get us a table when we arrived and even wished us a safe journey on the treacherous road.

When we arrived I was served the perfect first martini, I’m picky about that! And then Thor was a delightful waiter. The meal was delicious and I would love to have that sautéed spinach on a regular basis! Excellent experience all around!

Our first visit to Almresi was absolutely wonderful! The whole experience was fabulous; this includes the decor, the menus, the ambiance, the wait staff, the presentation of every dish, the hospitality. Every detail has been well thought out. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. And the wait staff was so personable. It was an absolutely enjoyable experience. Plus, everything we tried on the menu was amazing! We would highly recommend and will definitely make a repeat trip next time we are in the Vail Valley.

Almresi has a cozy atmosphere, authentic German Alps ambiance. Our waiter and all of the wait staff appeared to be young Germans. They knew their menu and were very helpful with suggestions. The cocktails were nicely crafted, with a flair for entertainment. The appetizer board we had was ample for 4. There was no rush to move into the dinner courses which added to the pleasantry of our. Ravening meal. The beef, pork, and fish enters with sides were large enough for very hearty appetites. To the point where there was no room for desert and thus a good reason return another evening for deserts & coffee.

We had a delightful evening at Almresi with a family reunion group - Marcus from Austria was our main waiter and he was charming and attentive, as were all the other wait staff. The food was classic but updated Austrian/German dishes and exquisite. Such a convivial evening in a cosy bavarian decor - we will most definitely return when we come back to Vail!
