We love to help!
We lived in Germany for six years and this is hands down the best German food we've ever had outside of Germany - right down to the Apfelstrudel for dessert! The wait staff and cooks are all authentic Germans, the atmosphere is very much like a local German pub, and the food is amazing! We're hoping that they will add Sauerbraten to the menu before our next visit!
I'm German and I can attest that this is the real deal. Well done! Very impressed.
There are tons of restaurant options in Vail, and we're glad we chose Almresi. The food, ambience and service were all very good.
Service, food, and ambiance was fantastic! The short ribs are amazing an absolute must have. If Phillip is working ask for him to be your server...though everyone was very nice and accommodating.
Had the best experience ever onnthe patio this weekend with my daughter. Every last detail of this place is impeccable. I’ll be back again and again. We are locals and are in love with Almresi.
Excellent service by Phillip! Food was excellent also! Great dining experience. Thank you
What an amazing dining experience. Great food and service. Would definitely return. Atmosphere is authentic German. Pork is amazing. Julian was awesome.
We went here for an anniversary dinner and Almresi did not disappoint! I have never had German food before and this place was the perfect introduction. We sat outside by the creek which was the perfect scenery. We had a German Pinot noir that was fantastic and went well with the fondue app. Get the short ribs! It was so so good! This place is bomb and if I ever go to Vail again, I’ll be sure to visit Almresi!
The experience at Almresi was wonderful. Service was prompt and friendly, but not overbearing. And the food also was terrific - we had the pretzel and a flatbread to start the meal, pork shank and short rib entrees, and the apple strudel dessert (don’t ask me to write the Austrian/German names!). It was a wonderful experience, and we will be back the next time we’re in Vail.
My new favorite in Vail Village. Good prices for Vail. Owner is super sweet. Food is amazing. Decor is beautiful and comfortable.
This is hard, because the food was amazing and everyone we interacted with was absolutely lovely and welcoming. However, it was an extremely busy night during Oktoberfest weekend. We were seated on the cozy, romantic back patio, which was very private. Unfortunately, this meant we were frequently forgotten (as was another couple seated near us). We went 40 minutes after receiving our entree before we saw a server again. I'd like to try again in the future, as really the food an ambiance was great, the service was just really lacking this evening.
Our original reservation was for a party of four. We had two additional friends ready to join us at the last minute. The wonderful owner was able to make arrangements for us so that our party of six could enjoy dinner together. The food was outstanding, the service excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We cannot thank the owner and staff enough for providing us with such a special evening! We look forward to our next visit!
Excellent restaurant. Authentic food. Incredible staff. Loved it!
One of the best food experiences ever..Flat out Incredible!!
Wonderful meal, exceptional service and one of the most beautiful interiors for a restaurant. Highly recommend.
From the moment you step in the Austrian Haus feel is everywhere ther it hospitality and attention to detail to you your food and desire to please is top notch
The food is tasty and can be interactive or not ! Highly recommend- something for everyone here!
Authentic and delicious with extremely attentive servers. A bit pricey but ..... Vail
The food was fantastic (short rib was the most tender piece of meat I've had in a LONG time). And the atmosphere...bringing my dad and mom back when they visit - they are German-Austrian foodies.
Great new addition to the Vail dining scene. Very authentic food in cozy yet modern space. Everything we ate was delicious with very large portions that are easy to share. Don’t miss the pork shank!
Second time eating here and it was amazing both times.
Great experience and will recommend highly. I’ve been going to Vail for 30+ years and never new about your restaurant. All staff were professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. One of the best meals I’ve had in the valley.
Authentic German/Austrian venue. You are in the high Alps.
Upscale restaurant in a beautiful setting. Great place to get excellent German cuisine with outstanding service.
Awesome meal in a great place. Very charming. Service was outstanding and very friendly staff.
Excellent menu selections and authentic Austrian cuisine. Waitstaff friendly and knowledgeable.
Such a fun find. Wait staff in authentic German clothing. Food was great. Loved the German take on pizza appetizer and the grilled salmon was delicious. The short ribs were outstanding as well. We will definitely go back and brings guests and family! 🍺🍻🍺
Wonderful! Thank you!
Fantastic food and service. The owner checked in with us and we ended up talking for 10 minutes, very friendly.
It was an authentic European experience. I would more than recommend.
Great experience. The food is amazing and incredibly flavorful. I probably had the best pork shank I’ve ever had in the US. The Flammkuchen was probably the highlight of the meal. Service was extremely friendly.
Excellent food and service. Charming atmospherea d a true dining experience. Family from out of state said “best meal we have had in months”.
We ate the scheinehaxe. The meat was very tender. We think you should cook the fat on the pork until crispy and serve it this way. This would give the pork more flavor. Cook it like they do in Germany. The rot kraut and gravy were delicious.
Great service, great menu of Austrian food. Go here first!
Very authentic German /Swiss restsurant .. wonderfully decorated , great authentic food and fantastic service ... staff is outstanding
Wonderful find in Vail! We had the fondue, the potatoe pancake with smoked salmon,,, and the short ribs with spaetzle and cabbage, all on the waitress’ recommendation. Service was excellent and our waitress was extremely friendly and energetic. Our food came out perfectly timed and every bite was delicious! Food was generously portioned and moderately priced for being in a high-priced tourist location. All of the staff were from Austria or Germany and were dressed in traditional garb which really added to the experience – made you feel like you were actually in Austria! One of our best meals of the trip! Highest recommendation!
Wonderful, authentic food with a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Everything was wonderful, best meal in Vail. I would recommend to anyone.
We had an amazing time at Almresi. The food was fabulous! I highly recommend the charcuterie plate and the short ribs and apple strudel. The German beer Pils was fantastic!
Loved everything about it.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough. My five year old twins even loved it. That's quite an accomplishment for any restaurant. Great addition to Vail and can't wait to return.
We went for the fun, but ended up swooning over the food. We had a great time. The service was great and the ambience was so unique!
