Co-founder and chef Jason Weiner creates seasonally focused ever-changing menus that are guided by a market driven ethos. We highlight our personal relationships with growers, fishermen, artisans and winemakers.
Our menus are artisanal and market driven featuring some updated takes on classic french/mediterannean cuisine, ethnic street food and lots of stuff in between.
We are obsessive about the handmade...We hang our own charcuterie, grind our own sausage, ferment our own kimchi, dry age own steaks, and smoke our own fish & bacon.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu are available at the restaurant’s 25 seat bar.
I had the salade niçoise and it was really good! What I like the most is the space, it’s not too loud, you are not too close to other tables it’s not like most restaurants in NYC. It gives you privacy and you don’t have to yell to be heard, it is actually relaxing, the staff is really nice and not pushy. The food is very good, and they are some healthy options.
Was good.. the host was not the usual guy. I prefer the usual person.
Maybe just familiarity
And the server was friendly which was nice.
Got window seat which was fabulous
And food was great!
Grilled swordfish (in salad) arrived uncooked in the center -- that's not the way swordfish should be prepared. It should be fully cooked (unlike salmon, which can be served with a raw center). Server was very helpful in addressing this problem. I blame the kitchen, not him. Otherwise, food was very tasty.
Have taken multiple clients/friends to this restaurant over the last several years and many have continued to visit on their own as the food is very good.....However, I am most likely done with this place....as always I made a reservation ahead of time and arrived with a family member for a table of two. And the regular guy who works the front seated us at one of the worst tables in the place, never asked if it worked for us, just threw down the menus and boogied.......normally I am chill about this stuff but in the next five minutes he seated a two with no reservation at an excellent table in my line of sight and then two more twos in close succession at equally desirable tables. And then the guy standing on the other side of the knee wall in the bar put his drink on the ledge right next to my head and started talking on his phone. I get it....I’m an invisible old 50 something lady taking one of my kids out for a quick dinner and I don’t matter to restaurant staff. This time I said something and the guy at the front acted soooooooo surprised that I wasn’t happy with my table that was almost in the bar and next to a waiters station.......perhaps he thought that due to my advanced age I am almost blind....;).....in any case time to move on, if I am going to spend $180.00 for a dinner that took less than 60 minutes I am sure I can find another regular spot that won’t treat me like a second class citizen.....
Saturday brunch was delicious with great service and ambience!
Almond was fantastic!! The food and ambience were incredible. Really loved their take on classic dishes, such as cauliflower buffalo wings. What a neighborhood gem.
Absolutely a great neighborhood gem! Met 2 girlfriends for lunch and had a wonderful experience. Loved our waiter! She recommended everything and we could not have been happier.
Thank you! We look forward to our next visit!

Service was super slow and food made me ill for the second time
Everything was great- highly recommend!
Food and service were both very good.
Everything was fantastic. Food. Service. Ambiance. ♥️
Great place for dinner. Atmosphere was fun and comfortable. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. I will definitely return!
Our new favorite local place. The food is amazing, the service is on point and the atmosphere is desirable! From NYC foodies they get a triple high five!
Up to usual standards. Good crowd on a weekday night.
This was our first time and we were very impressed food was delicious and the service was great. Our waiter was very attentive
Fun and tasty brunch!
Cool vibe, good food
Celebrating a birthday at brunch with family
Good ambiance for group dinners but won’t come back.
I came for brunch here with my family and it was a great experience! The service was excellent and food was so delicious. I had the turkey burger which was amazing with avocado on it. The biscuits they bring you to start are to die for!!!!
Excellent food, selection, And atmosphere.
Two dear friends who I hadn't seen in far too long and I got together for lunch at Almond. I had the prix fixe menu of Brussel sprouts two ways, fish tacos, and sticky toffee date cake. We all enjoyed our food--particularly the desserts--but what we especially appreciated was how the staff let us sit and talk for hours. By the time we left, they were clearly getting ready for happy hour and dinner service and we were the only leftovers from the lunch crowd. Highly recommended for quiet, leisurely conversation.
We had the most amazing server...literally coming back solely because he was fantastic and made us feel taken care of.
Amazing french toast. decent service. Quality of food was great.
Excellent food and drinks, service was great and friendly.
fresh food, great service, lots of great menu choices. I would have rated 5's except there were many kids running around when we first arrived (6:45pm). Also my lamb chops were a little tough. Everything else was very good and i would definitely return (just make a later reso) and I would rec to friends.
Food and setting are nice. Service? Meh. The receptionist was rude. The waitress had no personality. That said, not a bad spot.
Really enjoyed our Pre Fixe lunch today! Both the warm beet salad and brussel sprout salad were great. Main course of pasta and fish tacos were perfect. Our waiter, Sean, was a blast!!
Food was great. However server wasn’t very impressive with his knowledge of the menu and attentiveness. They also ran out of scallop which I was looking forward to.
I’ve never sent food back in my life. So I didn’t this time either...but I was tempted. The skirt steak was literally inedible. It could not be chewed. I tried 3 times, each instance with a different area of the steak. Embarrassingly, I had to excuse myself and go to the bathroom to spit out a mouthful. No exaggeration. I could not get to the point where it was safe to swallow.
Valentines Day was a little busy. Service was a little hectic
Almond is our go to restaurant. We have visited way over a dozen times. We Even had a wedding celebration dinner with close friends here. As always excellent food and service.
I was in a job interview . I love this place
We were here for one last brunch before one of our friends gave birth and it was a really great time. Food was awesome, and we were satisfied with everything. Almond, thanks for making our last brunch for months a great one!
This was a vibrant neighborhood restaurant. Lovely ambience. Clearly a treasured neighborhood restaurant. Reservations a must. We went for brunch. Loved the menu choices.
We visited during Restaurant Week and had the set dinner options. Brussel sprouts two ways to start, swordfish for entree and sticky toffee & date pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious, fish was perfectly cooked, and dessert was yummy. Service was excellent. Probably a little out of my price range on a normal night but during restaurant week it was well worth the money. Definitely worth a visit!
This was our first visit to Almond. We came for restaurant week. We were very impressed. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely return.
Everything was fine. There are much better options in the neighborhood. I would try a different restaurant before coming back.
The server was very simple, didn’t offer much detail or really any focus. Not rude but just came by and checked in for the basics - ready to order, how does everything taste, dessert? Not much personality. The manager however was WONDERFUL. He asked us to move tables (literally one table over) and comped our ENTIRE bill for 50% off. Truly amazed by his generosity. Couldn’t say thank you for him enough. Great ambiance, but we got a bunch of random dishes to share and a (few cocktails each) and sadly there was non cohesion. Totally our bad but everything still tasted great.
