Tried this restaurant during NYC Restaurant Week and will definitely come again. Location was excellent, staff was welcoming and friendly, food was delicious.
Thank you for letting us sit down even though our party was not completely there. The food choices were good and the portions generous. The service was a bit spotty - either several wait staff offering help... or none. Most odd. Yet the whole experience was very good - the restaurant has a cool atmosphere if not a bit noisy.
So disappointed in this meal.
The large dining room was busy but not full (entire sections were not seated) but our food took a long time, half of it was burned, the French fries raw and mushy and courses were delivered out of order.
We had to ask for more bread three times while we waited 20 minutes for the appetizers, and our server, while friendly and energetic, made several mistakes and was very difficult to track down. We practically had to jump up and down to get her attention about our burned food.
The bus staff is over-eager and took appetizers which we were still eating. The server apparently knew she had a table of disappointed, high maintenance New Yorkers and tried to make it right with four free, bite-sized peanut butter cups. Too bad one of our diners has a peanut allergy - and another spit it out in disgust.
We won't be returning here or going to Bridgehampton location this summer.
The wine selection is pretty good, though.
Great time with my colleagues. Very attentive and good food
We had a great time, and will definitely be back. We both loved the meal and the excellent service.
bigger than the Hamptons version
Waitress barely attended to our table at brunch. Didn't take our order until she took the order of the people next to us (who were seated after us) and saw us still sitting there with menus. Didn't check on us once when we finally had our food, and was difficult to flag down when one of us ran out of water.
I ordered the eggs benedict. The english muffin was rubbery and difficult to cut. For the prices they charge, this experience was not worth it and I would not go back.
Very accommodating with food allergies and willing to make alterations to the menu, which is great. Our server was a bit busy and missed a few things, but he was so nice and accommodating it didnt impact the dining experience overall!
We ate at the bar and had so much fun! Maddie is the best!
One of the best places in the flatiron district
-Wine list very well selected
-food just deliciously tasty
-service always good
Very disappointed. Have always loved L&W (sister restaurant) and unfortunately it is now shutting down. Saw that Almond was listed for Restaurant Week and have been wanting to check it out. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted with uninterested looks by the host and hostess (it was 7:45pm...). After being seated and waiting 25 mins a waiter came over and just stood and stared at us...didn’t say anything...we asked if we could order drinks and he said “sure”. I asked if something’s going on here because it felt like there was some sort of internal issue with the restaurant in terms of staff. He replied by saying “oh you didn’t get the email?”. I said “what email?” And he replied with “the one about everyone getting seated in my section”. Extremely awkward. I asked if we could order and we did and never saw him again till we asked for the check. The appetizers and entree were DELICIOUS. Dessert felt microwaved. First time I’ve ever given 15% tip and I’ve never been prouder...
Can't say anything bad about Almond. It's a mainstay for my family for many, many years. Great food, great drinks, great service. A triple threat in the NYC restaurant industry.
Been a several times; always have a great experience and will return many more times I’m sure. Food is great, and on the off chance there is anything wrong staff goes out of there way to make it right.
This is our go to place. Friendly and great food.
We tried the menu that was available for restaurant week and it was incredible! The service was also excellent.
Great drinks and food!
The one thing you can certainly rely on at Almond since they opened their doors in Manhattan is getting a consistent, delicious meal, a great bottle of wine and a waitstaff that is either dry and friendly or quirky and friendly, which just adds to the charm of the place. Whether it id date night, family night or dinner with good friends, always a great choice!
Love this place! Perfect for brunch. Really delicious menu with all the brunch classics, plus some fun house specialties that offer a little twist. And you can make a reservation!
Almond is always a great decision. The menu is great, the service is great. And they actually pay attention to the notes you leave for them to hep make your experience special. A special thank you to Antonio who went the extra step to make sure our night was exactly how we like it!
Almond is, hands down, my favorite restaurant in this neighborhood. I love the cozy atmosphere, impeccable service, and the food is always always always delicious. Every time I take one of my friends or family there, they end up loving this place as well.
