Co-founder and chef Jason Weiner creates seasonally focused ever-changing menus that are guided by a market driven ethos. We highlight our personal relationships with growers, fishermen, artisans and winemakers.
Our menus are artisanal and market driven featuring some updated takes on classic french/mediterannean cuisine, ethnic street food and lots of stuff in between.
We are obsessive about the handmade...We hang our own charcuterie, grind our own sausage, ferment our own kimchi, dry age own steaks, and smoke our own fish & bacon.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu are available at the restaurant’s 25 seat bar.
Had to wait 30 min for our reserved table. Very noisy
Fantastic dinner! Food was delicious! Service was wonderful. Hopping restaurant. We will be back, soon!
Almond has a good vibe when you walk in. There are people of all ages as we came for Brunch and everyone fit it. The place was fun and the food was very good
This was a great spot, wonderful drinks, amazing food. Our waiter was attentive and so sweet. It was packed, so make sure to get a reservation. A little loud, but that’s was to be expected. Great ambiance.
The quality of the food has declined quite a bit along with decor during holidays. Also service was slow even though restaurant was 50S% full
Bad service - too slow and had 2-3 different waiters.
A great place for dinner. The amazing food made the subpar service not seem so bad. The owners were very attentive to the service issues and tried to rectify it. Overall, highly recommend.
We had JUST gotten engaged before dinner at Almond. We mentioned this when we walked in and could not have been treated better. Complimentary champagne sent to the table and a complimentary dessert at the end of the night and lots of congratulations along the way. A cozy night, great food and excellent service. We'll be back for sure the next time we visit the city.
Opted for the prix fixed menu and wasn’t disappointed. Brussel sprouts very interesting, chicken tender, tasty and a very generous serving, date cake good. Excellent service. Great Xmas decorations that I’m very glad my old neck didn’t have to put up (or take down)!!
Dishes we ordered, fish and chips, bass, cod and lamb were poorly prepared and presented.
Serving a fish dish in a very large bowl with few bits of pre prepared, non distinguishable tasting bits underneath, with no garnishing or presentation may be trendy and cost effective but does not make for good food. Chips were soggy as well. We skipped desert after the the meal experience. Almond now seems to be more suitable for a younger, non discriminating clientele used to Playa Bowl type of food.
We were very disappointed as we brought company with us. We had better meals at the restaurant but the quality has declined significantly.
Thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely breakfast. We took our time and were not rushed by our servers. Will definitely go again.
We had an excellent experience at Almond. They have a very creative drink menu, great food and excellent service. Great experience and I would go back to Almond again - anytime!
Disappointing meal but solid and nice service. Surprised the lack of gluten free options and care for such a earthy restaurant. Nice feel and vibe, but don’t go if u have a gluten allergy.
This was a nice surprise. We don’t normally eat out in this neighborhood, but this will be a repeat spot for us the next time we are near by.
Very enjoyable. Nice sized portions. Definitely will return.
Only offered brunch menu even though it was 3pm. Food very mediocre. Very disappointed
We had a terrific Sunday brunch at Almond! Eggs with Pastrami, Omelettes with Chorizo, Eggs Benedict, Croque Madame,...everything was delicious. Quality ingredients. Great wine as well. Attentive service and nice pool table to play with the family after the meal. We will be back .
All good, service, ambiance and excellent food for brunch. Reco hightly.
This was my 2nd visit to Almond. The farm to table approach is what attracted me, food is fresh and interesting ( although the Icelandic cod I had was a bit dry) staff pleasant with out being overbearing. Prix Fixe menu is a good choice.
Loved it. Food was excellent
This is my 2nd time attending Almond. My first time I went earlier in the day around 5pm compared to this time at 6, I didnt realize what difference an hour can make and seating. The first time we sat in the front. Great waiter I wish I remembered his name. This time we sat in the back and the people playing pool were so loud and disruptive. My boyfriend and I were enjoying his birthday dinner. The first time we came to almond we ordered 3 plates of oysters in total 36.. we really enjoy our seafood. This time around we only ordered 2 dozen, there were so many cracked shells in our oysters this time around. My boyfriend ordered the porkchop and something was off with the whole dish we had to send it back. I ordered the chicken dish and the chicken came out dry. I didnt send it back because I felt bad. We ordered 2 bottles of wine as we did just like our first visit, the wine was great. I do remember when we ordered the octopus the first time around it was tastier than this time I dont know if they changed the recipe or what. We came back because we enjoyed our first time so much and we didnt mind spending $300 because me and my boyfriend are foodies and we enjoy good food when we venture out to find it, we splurge. However, the 2nd time around we weren't impressed and the fact that we had to send back food wasn't good at all. Our bill Also totaled in $300, well $350 after our tip.. we went to the front bar afterwards to try the "on tap" old fashioned which was sadly better than our dinner. It makes me sad to spend so much on a meal and feel like we didnt enjoy ourselves. I dont think we will be back.
Very nice atmosphere neighborhood restaurant. Enjoyed our food and our server Maddy was very attentive and took her job very seriously. That’s always very nice to see!
outstanding service...waiter incredibly accommodating of my picky 14 year old daughter...offered suggestions and replacements. Can't wait to go back again!
Wow. Amazing place. We were super late for our reservation and the restaurant didn't have any issues in seating us and were very friendly. Food, amazing. Drinks, amazing. Decor, amazing.
The food is unusual. I didn’t really like all the fussing. Would have preferred a more farm to table approach as I was expecting from the menu online. Service was nice. Lots of screaming children and not great acoustics. Would not go back.
Service was great, excellent food. Great place to meet friends and have a good meal.
Service was very good. Charcuterie was absolutely delicious; highly recommended. We also ordered the Fri prime rib special with Jalepenos fries and the mac and cheese all of which left a LOT to be desired. All of it looked great but wasnt very tasteful, quite bland actually. The very tentative server saw our displeasure and was nice enough to discount our bill 30% off with zero expectation of any discount or comp. I'd give it another shot because they took care of us.
I took my boyfriend here for his birthday when we decided last minute not to eat at the place we originally booked. I was so happy to see they had a reservation available and took it, we still ended up having to wait 15-20 mins but they were very accommodating (took our coats to a free coat check, found us seats at the bar, and ordered us drinks quickly). I got the Butterfly Effect which I'd highly recommend if you like Mezcal. Also, that one drink was pretty alcoholic that I just had one!
When we finally got our table we were in a busy but relatively quiet part of the restaurant. A few servers were helping us which I thought was really convenient and they made sure to keep the bread flowing to our table :) They also had a VERY reasonable pre-fix menu that I ordered from. My boyfriend ordered the lobster spaghetti on its own. Our food was so good that we barely spoke to each other when it came out! I also mentioned it was his birthday and they brought out a piece a cake with a sparkling candle. It was so sweet! This place really exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to go back.
Absolutely loved the Lobster spaghetti! Service, location, and ambiance was great.
Great experience and delicious food. Will definitely be going back
A friend and I had Sunday brunch. Service was good. Food very good. We were given a choice of seating and we chose a quieter area where we could talk (and hear each other). Though the restaurant was busy, we weren't rushed and had a relaxing lunch (plus an excellent Bellini).
Loved it!! The ambiance is fantastic
Fabulous food and service
Attentive and friendly staff. The food has been consistently well-prepared and very tasty. The menu offers a variety of options for most taste palates and dietary needs.
Has been one of our favorite neighborhood spots for a long time! For a date or with your kids - always great. Service with a smile and yummy food. First time ordering the rib eye for two and it was DELICIOUS. Also fabulous burgers. We will be back for sure :-)
The Almond is always spot on and this time was no exception! The new fall menu is yummy and you cant go wrong with anything on it. I had the thick and tasty tomato soup. The Brussel sprouts two ways is amazing! The peanut putter tarte was elegant and flavorful with a mix of peanuts, peanut butter and jam .. with an amazing pie crust crumble.
It's always good! Almond is consistent in it's warm atmosphere, and well done casual bistro fare..great for brunch. And it's Family friendly
Loved the place. Picked at random but turned out really nice experience.
The server was rude, we waited for a very long time for our food, the appetizer came out with our meals, and there is one item on the menu that is labeled as vegetarian but it is not (the brussels sprout appetizer). Will not be returning to Almond.
