Co-founder and chef Jason Weiner creates seasonally focused ever-changing menus that are guided by a market driven ethos. We highlight our personal relationships with growers, fishermen, artisans and winemakers.
Our menus are artisanal and market driven featuring some updated takes on classic french/mediterannean cuisine, ethnic street food and lots of stuff in between.
We are obsessive about the handmade...We hang our own charcuterie, grind our own sausage, ferment our own kimchi, dry age own steaks, and smoke our own fish & bacon.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu are available at the restaurant’s 25 seat bar.
Everyone was great! We will be back for sure! The food was great!
We’ve been hear so many times and always write the same review: great food and excellent service.
Great deal for the lunch price fix! Great options! Food is fresh!
Our server was excellent, as was the host and greeter. Even the busboys and water servers were great. One minor point: it was somewhat dark inside. The votives on the table don't provide much light. It'd have been great to really see what I was eating, which was delicious. The wine was also great. I had a dry riesling from Long Island (!) which tasted amazing and paired nicely with my meal.
The scallop dish came outcokd and the hanger steak was tough and over cooked.
Seated outside on a warm summer night was most pleasant with good food and drink however there was a group of four with one rowdy young man who enjoyed hearing himself boisterously comment on passersby and get attention drawn to himself. When a diner kindly asked him to please lower his voice, he became antagonistic to the point the wait staff and manager had to come out to avoid a confrontation, and the other diners applauded. The management should have done more to quiet the unpleasant diner.
Almond is a charming, open, and comfortable place perfect for week day lunches and dinner as well.
Bartender David is fabulous. The manager/ owner walking around was terrific. The seater was so sweet. Didn’t rush us to leave the bar to take our table. He gave us a table in the back where it was quiet and cool but the service was not good.
Entree came right on top of the salad. Food was decent. Chicken a bit overdone. Waiter was absent. We should have eaten at the bar.
The place is cool and I would give it another chance. Just make it clear at ordering that we need to space the meal
What happened? Almond has long been a Flatiron staple for good food at reasonable prices. No longer. First the air conditioner was out and then the food was mediocre at best. Too many choices to make this mistake again.
I was so pleased at Almond. I’ve been before, and will go again. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. Thanks Almond!
My lunch companion is a difficult patron & our waiter was very accommodating.
creative menu, pretty successful. I was there early so quiet, might get noisy later- not sure. lots of cocktail and wine options.
AC was broken in a very hot day. At least there should have been a warning or some complimentary treat to guests
usually very consistent, they lost our order(again) happens occasionally, but Bismarck is always on top of things,
Always reliably good, Almond is our favorite spot for Sunday brunch after church. Their signature "Almond Hash" is fantastic and varies just enough to make it interesting and different.
Good food and atmosphere, great service! Almond is located in my work neighborhood and a go-to staple. Never disappoints..
As a transplanted to New Yorker I will never miss a chance to eat at Almond when visiting NYC. I love the atmosphere and the creative menu. And yes! a nice selection of Gluten Free desserts. Would love some GF options on the menu but the kitchen is so accommodating it almost doesn’t matter! Can’t wait for our next visit.
Good great as always. Service just so-so
My first visit, just looking for a good place in the Flatiron District. Almond opens for lunch at 11:30am, which was a prerequisite. My client and I enjoyed the same prix fixe menu - a chilled avocado, creme fraiche soup, delightful ravioli stuffed with eggplant with tiny diced summer squash and zucchini overlaid. The desserts were okay-good (Chocolate Pot au Creme, Lemon Poppyseed Olive oil cake with icecream) but the appetizer and entree were superb. Service is attentive, friendly, but not overbearing. The space particularly at the window was nice and light, so sit there, as deeper into the restaurant felt a bit dark.
Great service, a delicious meal, and great atmosphere. Everything we had was wholesome and delicious.
The food was very good, place is fun, however, it was so hot it was unreal. We kept our menus just to fan ourselves with them. It was cooler outside than it was in the restaurant and it wasn't even that hot of a day! I would not be back in the summer months given the sweltering heat in the restaurant, but will be back in the fall/winter when hopefully the restaurant isn't as hot...
Almond is the kind of place that has a lot of GREAT food, but most of the prices are not value for money. A salad consisting of about 3 pieces of little gem lettuce should NOT COST 15$. The most amazing dish we had, and we would order again is the spaghetti with lobster sauce (but I saw a lot of langostinos in there) with butter.
Stopped here for brunch and had a wonderful meal. Service was attentive and smooth. The Almond Hash with duck confit was amazing!
Perfect, as usual. We always have a comfortable time here. The food and service are top draw.
The food was amazing! Service was a little slow but the food was so good, it didn’t matter
Great drinks, food and crowd. Loved it!
Very good food in a casual setting. Been here many times and have not been disappointed
Very simple menu with healthy and not-so-healthy choices. Good wine and beer list, although a bit limited. The patio on the street was nice and cozy while still giving enough room between tables.
Great food, but a little overpriced for what you’re getting
I've been to Almond several times and have always enjoyed it. Good food, service, ambiance, value. I picked it for a dinner with friends from out of the country, as I thought it would be an experience they would enjoy. It was a Mon night at 8pm. The service was extremely slow. Always hard to find someone to help. The air conditioner was barely on (we had to ask 3 times for them to raise it). They forgot one of the side dishes (they were kind enough to bring it after and remove it from the bill). All this on a night that had about 25% of tables occupied. Fortunately the food was very good (as always). Just a disappointing experience when you're entertaining friends from elsewhere. Not what I have come to expect from Almond over the years.
Service and food were incredible !
Great date night! Martinis, oysters, and a bunch of shared apps. Love this place
Food was great. Service was very friendly but it seemed they might have been a bit disorganized in the back. Apps came on time, dinner a wee bit slow but not too bad, but by dessert it was hard to flag people down. We came at 7:30 on a Thursday night.
Don’t bother to make a reservation if you can’t get outdoor seating. This place blows!
Almonds was great again but Open Table not so much. For some reason, I was notified that our stay did not qualify for points?
Always great food, great service, great time.
Too dark for brunch!
Always a great experience!!
Very creative, interesting menu. Somethings were tasty, like the asparagus soup, somethings were odd like the half-cooked sunny-side up egg on top of the flatbread. Personally, I felt it was a little overpriced for basic-ness of much of the food, but we did not order main courses, just lots of small plates. There was not much for people who did not eat red meat or seafood. Very jovial, loud place for 20-30 somethings.
Came here based on its reputation in Bridgehampton. Very pretty restaurant and nice vibe. Each of 2 couples ordered one price fixed 3 course meal and a second entree. Everything came out hot and as ordered. Nice selction of wine by the glass and attenive service. More of a Sat night than a Tuesday night dinner. Thought the prices were high especially the appetizers and seafood entrees. Very noisy and hard to converse with dinner companions. Very tight seating especially for tables for 2.
