Almond blends farm-to-table culture in a vibrant, comfortable atmosphere.
Co-owner and Executive Chef Jason Weiner creates seasonal & daily menus that are driven by market-fresh ingredients. Almond's local & sustainable fish offerings are illuminated through an open raw bar. Classic Almond dishes, beloved at Almond's sister restaurants (Almond Bridgehampton & Almond Tribeca), are highlighted with Brussels Sprouts Two-Ways and Steak Frites, amongst others. Unique to the menu is a selection of "Small Things," masterfully conceived dishes that can be enjoyed in a few bites that range from Roasted Chickpeas to Lobster Sausage.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu, at the restaurant’s spacious 20-seat bar.

Almond Ratings and Reviews
I enjoyed the Duck Confit Hash served with a perfect poached egg, along with the one of the signature brunch cocktails. Both were outstanding! Our server was very personable, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the excellent service we received.
Service was OK. The restaurant was extremely busy so it was slow, but the server herself was great. Food was good, but menu wasn't anything special. Drinks were OK. Restaurant was kind of hot and loud. Overall, it was fine but nothing great and I wouldn't go back anytime soon. Perfect for families w/ kids tho! Stroller parking!
The restaurant has declined considerably. The wine list is atrocious if non-existent - essentially 6 not-so-great options off the main menu drink list, and they were out of anything good. Service was really poor and non-attentive. Food prices and drink prices very high for what you get. Bartender was rude, and passed us to someone else because she didn't want to be bothered, but then observed her rolling her eyes at her colleagues while they were waiting on us. Wait staff not much better.
Wife and I had brunch on a recent Saturday and came away thoroughly pleased with our meals. The brunch/lunch menu covered all the bases and would please Paleos as well as Carbaholics. My wife had Steak and Eggs and I had Eggs with their housemade Chicken Sausage. It was all very tasty. If you find yourself in Grammercy/Flatiron and are looking for a good solid option then I would highly recommend Almond.
Food was ok, nothing special. My steak was overcooked. The server was apologetic and took it back immediately. She even brought a glass of wine on the house. While it was properly done the second time, it was not great. But it was comfortable and we sat for about three hours on a Friday night with no pressure to turn the table. I'd go back.
Almond has just the right vibe for so many times, dinner with a friend, lunch with family, drinks with business associates. From great cocktails to delicious well prepared unpretentious food you feel at home. The happy hour is a great value. Had the best Negroni of my life there. Excellent steak frites, thoughtful wine list and fresh seafood.
Went here with our family of four and we had a great time. The service was spectacular. The waitress made excellent recommendations that most of us used. The food was just what the waitress said. So good and so much we could barely finish it. But save room for dessert but cause that was the best part. We had three of them. And each was better than the last.
My friends and I have dined here for lunch and brunch several times. I’m a big fan of their salade Nicoise. Waitstaff are very pleasant and efficient. A charming and friendly hostess greets everyone at the door. At my lunch there yesterday management’s choice of cool music tracks added to the upbeat atmosphere. It’s a great spot in the neighborhood.
What a horrible experience! I came here for a special birthday brunch for my sister because I have had good experiences at your Bridgehampton location. Our waiter was beyond slow every step of the way. He kept apologizing, which made it more awkward because he did not offer anything to make it better, and we could see him chatting with co-workers most of the time. Small things like milk for my coffee - asked him 3 times over 30 minutes. Finally had to just get up and ask anyone who was standing near the beverages. Absolutely baffling how this can occur and nothing can be done to make it better. We will NOT ever be coming back
Great service. Had the Plat du Jour (shrimp Scampi). There are no prices for this on the menu. It was $30. Risotto was a little dense but delicious. Shrimps were a tad overcooked. Wine list is long but a bit pricy by the glass. Does have a bistro atmosphere.
Everything at Almond was wonderful. Our server was attentive and the ambience was lovely. It was a tad bit loud and dark, but nothing you can't get past.
My friend and I loved everything we ate...especially the gravy fries. If we weren't in a restaurant we probably would have licked the bowl 😀
My sword dinner left me reaching for my friend’s fries. The portion was so small compared to the steak frites or the burger. The staff was not very attentive. We had to ask the server twice and the food runner for mayonnaise. By the time the mayonnaise arrived the burger was cold. I’ve eaten here many times and this was the least favorite experience.
