Almond - Bridgehampton
Co-founder and chef Jason Weiner creates seasonally focused ever-changing menus that are guided by a market driven ethos. We highlight our personal relationships with growers, fishermen, artisans and winemakers.
Our menus are artisanal and market driven featuring some updated takes on classic french/mediterannean cuisine, ethnic street food and lots of stuff in between.
We are obsessive about the handmade...We hang our own charcuterie, grind our own sausage, ferment our own kimchi, dry age own steaks, and smoke our own fish & bacon.
The wine list, handpicked by co-owner Eric Lemonides, offers an affordable selection of wines. Specialty cocktails, NY craft beers, and raw bar selections, along with the entire menu are available at the restaurant’s 15 seat bar.
Great ambiance. Delicious cuisine, but actually I go for best hamburger on the planet.
Great food, nice room, and in a part of the world that is full of itself, a wonderful customer centric attitude!
Always a fabulous vibe and delicious meal at Almond. Great seeing you Eric.
Delicious -- we were immediately welcomed upon arrival -- unknowingly we made it in time to consider the Prix Fixe which included the entree I wanted (scallops -- so well prepared!) -- and my husband ordered from the regular menu and enjoyed his entree of a decadent macaroni and cheese -- we ate every bite of everything!!! And somehow, we found room for the delicious ice cream sundae -- yum!!! This place is great during the busy season (but of course, much noisier then) and so nice during the quieter season (and easy to walk in without a reservation). Go!!!
Perfect burgers and fabulous fries. The service team was incredibly accommodating, turning a four-top into a table for five when a very loud family with children was seated next to us and we asked to be moved.
Great casual dining. Friendly and food always consistent
Love this restaurant. A must for The Hamptons. Eric and staff are wonderful.
Fridays at Almond are the best. A truly unique and wonderful Hamptons experience
Almond is our favorite Bridgehampton restaurant. The food is excellent, the menu is always being updated to reflect the local produce, and the service is perfect. Great ambience too!
OMG Yellow Gazpacho amazing!!! Perfect summer food.
So noisy! We could not hear each other at our table! And, no, there is nothing wrong with our hearing.
Almond is one of these rare places where good food and great friends want to meet. I ideally go every week and love it from stem to stern. Management protects the local regulars ( so many) yet keeps newbies coming in. This is my go-to place you by a long-shot!!!!
Everything about the evening was great and the french fries to die over..
Relaxed yet very enjoyable dining experience. Ate at three other "fancier" restaurants in the Hamptons and this was the most enjoyable experience. The tomato salad was inspired, the yellow gazpacho soup (melon and sun gold tomatoes) was extraordinary. Chicken and hamburger entrees is what one would expect in France at a fine bistro except the service was that of a three star restaurant. Will go back on my next trip.
Such wonderful food! Best we have had in the Hamptons by far. The atmosphere was warm and magic on a rainy weeknight, and the service was prompt and kind. Couldn’t have had a better evening out.
Despite pleasant experiences in past, Sunday night was a disaster. Waited 1/2 hour for waiter to come to table to take drink orders. Salad was ok. We waited a long time before getting main courses. Two of us ordered mussels, which were lukewarm and many were unopened. Two ordered hamburgers, which arrived not as ordered. One was taken back and finally came out correctly.
We called over maitre d’ who was very apologetic and brought out some more mussels .
Will you wait a long time before returning.
Love coming here! Great ambiance and delicious menu. Love the few outdoor tables as well overlooking the small town! Super cute
Food was good I'm not exactly sure I would say it was a French restaurant maybe fusion. Service was ok.
Great menu and delicious food!
Food, Wine and Service was exceptional. Will return in the future.
Better last year ; ( You're safe with the burger & fries which is not my first choice for dining -Even the bun on burger was completely saturated soggy / wet . My salad was flavorless & limp
Nice place and had been there for lunch but dinner was a disaster. Sat down and took 15 minutes before we cajoled the owner to take our drink orders. Then we got a very personable brand new waiter to take our food order. By the time they got to take the order no less than 3 entries out of like 10 were gone, finished etc. including their Tuesday special. Unreal. Service and kitchen management (food was very good and like the ambiance) needs to be addressed before the summer begins not throughout! Oh well.
Well prepared food and nice service. Will be back!
Almond is one of the best restaurants in the Hamptons. The food is always inventive and delicious. They change their menu a few times a year as well so there is always something new. Absolute love it!
I am sorry to say that, after some very nice dinners at Almond over the years, we had a bad experience last Saturday. On a hot and crowded Saturday night, the restaurant had all of its windows open with no a/c and it was boiling hot. The wonderful host/manager who has always been there in the past was absent, and the current host didn't seem to care about anything. I asked 3 employees to rectify the a/c situation, but got no results. I had asked for a window table when I booked the reservation and when we arrived, but this host said our party was not big enough - but a few minutes later he proceeded to seat a smaller party at a window table. This was disappointing and rude. It was also unfortunate that we waited for over 5 minutes at the front desk before a host even showed up to seat us, by which time there were about 15 people lined up behind us to be seated. Very odd behavior for a busy Saturday night in August. Hopefully this was just an off night for Almond.
Consistently outstanding food and service. Love this place. Attention to customer satisfaction is stellar.
A great family experience for adults and kids!
Always the best Friday night in the Hamptons!
We had my daughters birthday dinner at Almonds and it was excellent. We also had with us her two kids, 8 and 11 years old who enjoyed the kids pasta with a side order of Almonds amazing fries. My daughter had the lobster pasta which was excellent and my wife and I had two of our Almond favorites, I had a turkey burger and my wife had the scallops.
Perfect choice for my daughters birthday as this is her favorite restaurant on the East End
Never disappoints the almond is my go to place! Always perfect. The freshest ingredients artfully prepared with creativity and taste. Never over whelming always the right balance of flavors there’s not a bad dish on the menu
Wonderful as always! We love the fresh and delicious local farm and fish offerings...and the Long Island wines. Most of all we enjoy the warm welcome and knowledgable and gracious service!
Dull menu and presentation. Waiter glorified description of bad recipes. Served my main course burned to a crisp moments after smoke alarm from kitchen started and stopped. Asked for burger patty hold bun and fries. Got burnt fries and blackened dry inedible beef. Choked. Not chewable. Husband’s soft shell crab special smothered in 2 inch tasteless dry batter. Boozy clientele. Glass of wine arrived in container holding at least 3rd of bottle . All for $200. People hooting and with bare feet up on chairs. Used to be good, now far from it. Servers interrupting to remove plates while obviously still eating.
I used to love this place -- was a long time standard. However, now it is over-priced with a limited menu. I had the chicken which was overcooked and served on "smashed" potatoes which were like a starchy soggy combo of mashed and roasted. We got a same day reservation where all time slots were open and the place was not busy -- now I understand why. Service also not impressive. A shame for a place I used to love.
The mussels were a little off, but we’re quickly replaced and graciously
nice place but expected much more from the food. we found it to be quite mediocre. the host was wonderful, the server so so. cute place with a lively atmosphere, we wish we would have liked it more. but we will not be going back. we love wonderful food and just didn't feel the love here.
Everything was exceptional as per usual!!!
Excellent meal! Love the farm to table menu items. Everything fresh and delicious. Great service and dog friendly outside! Fries with gruyere and au poivre sauce a must.
My wife and I have considered Almond in Bridghampton one of our favorite restaurants for as many
years as it has been there. There is a sense of true professionalism in every respect. An always delicious and inventive menu, totally impeccable and communicative service, and a room and bar beautifully
designed and lit that enhances each meal. When Eric, the co-owner is around(which is often,
thankfully), his sense of joy and and connection with the diners lights up the meal.
So, my wife and I(and many of our friends) feel lucky that Almond, Bridgehampton is there for us and
I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who cares about a delicious and delightful lunch or dinner.
