Almaviva is always a joy. Take your pick from appetizers and entrees you won’t be disappointed. Service is always excellent with Maria this past evening and previous servers stop by to say Hi! The sommelier is well-versed with the restaurants collection and prices are reasonable. Whenever we make a reservation, we dream about the wonderful meal that awaits us.

Maria was a wonderful and knowledgeable server. Everything we had was delicious although didn't care much for the empanada. Staff was quick and courteous and downright lovely. Will definitely go back when I'm in PR again

My lobster pasties and beef stew were delicious. Fun to go into small wine cellar. Shame no coffee. Celebrity chef a cut above others.

Was a bad experience

To start off with the place is beautifully decorated and has wonderful ambience. The servers were very friendly. However the menu online is nothing like the menu that you’re given at the restaurant. When I inquired about this the waitress told me that that the menu online is very old. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin which was an overcooked dry hamburger. Very disappointing

Music was good at first - old school salsa but then shifted to some Latin pop reaggaeton which was inconsistent with the classy ambiance- I’m guessing the manager went home at that point - also the lights kept on going brighter and darker - I guess some kinks to work out but very enjoyable meal

Superb meal at a beautiful restaurant. Great cocktail list. No wine list is currently available, so we got a personal tour of the wine cellar to pick our own bottle, which was reasonably priced. We had lobster and vegan eggplant mofongo. Both were delicious. Server was very knowledgeable and friendly, but there were not enough servers, so service was a bit slow.

This place is a must go. I’ve never had a better meal in my life. The service was excellent, the food... I can’t even find the right words to justify how good it was. If you’re looking for a great meal, go here.

I went with a friend on a Friday from 5:30 until 8:00 pm. We just ordered an appetizer (pork belly) and a bottle of wine. We didn't eat a full meal but what we ate was very good. We sat on the outdoor area facing Ashford Ave. which was very busy and entertaining to watch all the tourists walking by. The service was excellent and the ambiance very nice. The interior of the restaurant is nicely designed and spacious. There was live music (jazzy) starting at around 7 pm which we could hear softly from the front outdoor area. It was an enjoyable evening.

El cóctel Moscow mule no estaba en el vaso correcto ya que esa bebida debe ser servida en un vaso de stainless steel.
Y considero que deben cambiar el estilo de música por uno un poco más moderno, crear el ambiente es mega importante.

Food is good, not great. Wine selection is ample but pricey. Ambiance has dropped from elegant to casual dining. No dress code and at times loud noise level. Definitely not a relaxing dining experience.

I had to return the appetizer because it was semi-cooked, not suitable to eat. Very bad first impression.

Beautiful decor and excellent food quality although small portions. The “market price” items were very expensive. The service was SLOW with the waitress “missing in action” most of the evening. Will give it a second chance....

Our meal was really delicious.
However the menu has totally changed, so we couldn’t have any of our favorites.
We had the lobster + octopus salad
Cazuela for desert ( delicious)
Everyone was really nice
We sat outside I think was great to keep distance
Drinks need a little bit more attention, there was no flavor in our the mezcal drink.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Condado, we've made several visits and always have a wonderful experience. Service is excellent - efficient, warm and gracious. The cocktails are unique, well-balanced and always served with style and flair. The menu has changed since our last visit, but we were very happy to find new favorites - particularly the ahi tuna antigua appetizer that I wish was an entree. If you are looking for a place for a special occasion, Almaviva is a great choice.

This was our second experience this year. The staff was friendly and professional. Mia was our server and she was very attentive.

The location is central, the decoration nice and modern, the food is Puerto Rican with a modern twist and the people very friendly. One of the best choices in San Juan

We were having a tough day and Nina, in particular, really made sure we had a great time and great dinner. She also went above & beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our meal. We will defiantly be going back again.

Love this place great ambience love that they do a cocktail with fernet delicious food and the way they cook it would never expect it.

First off, this is a must stop if your a "Foodie". Everything we had was an amazing combination of flavors and aromas. I had the lamb, which was "like butter". My wife had the Caribbean Lobster. Melted in your mouth, and the infused butter was to die for. We went on a Thursday night during the Covid restrictions and our service was A+. We were the only diners and never felt uncomfortable. If you come to Puerto Rico you must eat here.

Chiaquiii was awesome very attentive, and the food was amazing loved their drink with fernet branca not an easy liquor to mix. food was cooked exquisitely to perfection.
