First off, this is a must stop if your a "Foodie". Everything we had was an amazing combination of flavors and aromas. I had the lamb, which was "like butter". My wife had the Caribbean Lobster. Melted in your mouth, and the infused butter was to die for. We went on a Thursday night during the Covid restrictions and our service was A+. We were the only diners and never felt uncomfortable. If you come to Puerto Rico you must eat here.
Chiaquiii was awesome very attentive, and the food was amazing loved their drink with fernet branca not an easy liquor to mix. food was cooked exquisitely to perfection.
Was a great Friday night. Great flavor!
Great!! Veri good food and variety!! Very Good Service!!
Muy buena atencion del mesero, excelente servicio!!
The service and the food was amazing!! We will definitely be back.
Great place to enjoy a pleasant time! Highly recommended!
The best meal I had in Puerto Rico! Interesting flavors, beautiful presentation, and wonderful service. An upscale twist on local cuisine.
As a single traveler, the staff went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable meal. The dining room is beautiful, the staff gracious..but go for the food. Simply delicious.
I love it. Excellent service, beautiful presentation of the food, and excellent flavors. Love it
Great service. One of the best culinary experiences I had ever experienced.
Great food and service
No special occassion
Great food great service. Good wines and wonderful desserts.
The place is very pretty, service is good, food is just ok but the whole combination makes it a good alternative in the island
We waited for our table, which we had reserved prior to the occasion and still hd to wait about 20min. Then when we sat down they made us wait about 30 min for the first course of a preset menu. Waited another hour for out main ourse and another 30 min for our dessert. I have dined at Almaviva about 2 other times and it was excellent. So i decided to take my date there for Valentines day dinner. Worst Valentines day EVER!
Outstanding experience. Our server Maria was fabulous and provided excellent recommendations. The food was excellent and masterfully presented. Tuna tartare was the best I’ve had and the pork cheeks are a must. Disregard recent one star reviews - our server informed us they were closed for a weeks or so due to the earthquakes resulting in loss of power and food. They are very much open and serving incredible dishes. This is a must go if in the area and definitely worth the trip if out of the area.
The food was absolutely delicious. Good, courteous staff. Would highly recommend the beef with cauliflower grating.
I made a reservation a week in advanced. Got confirmation the morning of the reservation. To then get a text message at 5:00pm saying they would be closed that night. If you are going to use OpenTable or any other reservation doftware.... maje the necessary updates. Very dissapointed.
Almaviva send us a note to make sure that we we coming, however, when w arrived for our reservation, no one was there: no lights, no sign, no e-mail, no phone call..
What a waste of our vacation time!
The restaurant was not open on a Friday night even thought they were taking reservations on Open Table. Not sure if they are still open for business.
They were closed when we booked on OT. Our hotel says it’s closed down....
Great Food and Service
I had a reservation and the host told me that she could sit me but that food for take over 1 hour to get. She said she was sorry but then when we sat the restaurant was not full it crowded. Also, the menu is extremely pricey.
Grilled octopus and crispy skin salmon was excellent. Service was a bit slow.
What I loved the most about this place was the service and ambience. They were great and live music that was perfect with the ambience of the restaurant. The presentation of the food was great. I picked this place for our wedding anniversary while visiting PR and it was a great choice.
Food was a very appealing blend of French and Asian techniques and flavors. Service was top-notch and very accommodating of food allergies and preferences. Inventive cocktails. Definitely recommend for a focus on preparation and presentation. Would certainly return. Easy walking distance from a number of hotels in the area, so if you're in the area and looking for a real culinary experience, this is a must try.
Great food and service...Kudos to Chef Juan Peña
Overall this place is amazing. Food is beautifully presented and of spectacular flavors. Service is casual elegant and friendly. Great cocktails and wine list. Even the background music is a perfect match. A must try is the foie and duck raviolis, the tuna tartar, the calamari arancinis, the shrimp Risotto, the osso buco and the beef tenderloin. Don't forget for dessert the chocolate cake with some neat Puertorican dark rum. Trilled to be a regular on this place
Slow and Expensive
The service was very slow. We sat there for an hour and a half before we got any food. They charge $12 for water and $12 for bread. I got soup. You should get bread with your soup.
We’ve been here a couple of times. Tonight, with our daughter on her 16th birthday trip. Our server, Maria, was a true professional and was the stand out of our experience today. Cocktails were very slow - the bartender was out so they were working on a skeleton crew...totally get it - but delicious. The Brussels and the smoked beef dish were exceptional. Entrees were hit and miss (actually 2 hits and one miss). We joined on a Friday night with live music which was really good, but a little loud. Bottom line: this is a solid restaurant....we happened to experience on an “off night.”
Great service, food was excellent.
Good food , great atmosphere they just need more variety of food.
Great food but small portions. Service was excellent until we ordered dessert and it took FOREVER.
Great experience!!! Very professional and knowledgeable personnel.
Great choice of appetizers, interesting wine list, nice decor, exciting flavors, great service.
Great place with a twist in the french and asian side on meals. Have wonderful options and a must is to see the dessert menu😋
Food and mixology. It also serves vegetarian options and has a area designated as petfriendly.
El olor que sale de la cocina es muy molesto. La ropa que.llevabamos tenía un olor muy desagradable
beautiful presentation of food, interesting flavors and blends. Drinks were creative, refreshing and Thomas took the time to target possibilities while learning each person's palate.
A wonderful evening, incredible food, and our waiter Luis was very helpful and very good advice! thank you for everything, we will come back !!!
