This is a lovely little gem not far from us. Our first time dining there. The service could not have been friendlier and efficient. The food was perfectly done… from the fritters, to the perfect texture of the noodles, and the delicious wings (our favourite). It deserves to be on Canada’s top 100 list.

The food is amazing! Celiac friendly. Great staff. We let them just create a menu for us and every dish was better than the next. The wines aren’t great but the food more than makes up for it. You need to go.

Incredible food, incredible wine and incredible service! We had a last minute reservation at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the meal. We’ll be back! Thanks Ben and team. The Bao and the chicken wings were must-trys!

Chef Ann Chen has conceived and created such a unique and downright tasty menu! We ordered the Baos, chicken wings, zucchini, tapioca fritters, radish cakes, noodles and pork. Everything was outstanding and definitely worth the price point. The service was top notch. Ordered the Yuzu beer which paired well with the food items. My only recommendation would be to have the wines available by the glass, as some of us love wine but can’t handle a whole bottle:) Will come back to try other menu items.

One of the most delicious, simple and seasonal food I have eaten! I love how honest the food is . They don't claim to be anything that they are not. Please try the lamb and the eggplant fenugreek dip they serve with their fantastic baos! For dessert, the lychee sorbet with frozen grapes and chrysanthemum is absolutely SUBLIME! Will be returning for moreeeee

A fine evening out with an old friend... excellent food, a fine wine, attentive friendly service. This is one of my favourite places to eat in Toronto. The food is prepared with care and the measure is just how delicious it all is. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful, with no attitude. I keep trying new things on the menu and am delighted every time. The only unfortunate thing is that it's a very loud place due to the hard surfaces everywhere so that hearing one another over dinner is challenging. Dining earlier or later might help avoid the din at dinner. The food is worth it.

Chef Anna’s food is spectacular. The highlights were the Parmesan crispy squares, radish cake, zucchini, char siu steak and curried squid. The desserts were also incredible and we enjoyed the coconut flan and lychee sorbet. Will be back again

Wine great. Food had major problems with seasoning. Tomato salad under seasoned. Chicken, sauce was burnt. Blew out all other flavours. Should not have been served. Dumpling were dry and VERY over salted. Lamb also over season, though not as much, Two members of the service staff kept fiddling with the lights. One would turn it up slightly, then 10 minutes later the other would come turn it down. This happened several times. Not a huge deal, but really weird

Absolutely excellent. Only regret that we couldn’t taste the entire menu. Will definitely be back. Thanks to Josh for finding my partner’s reading glasses after we left and calling me before we got too far. Honorable mention for last night’s playlist too - it was exactly what I didn’t know I wanted to hear after a long week

A small intimate neigbhourhood place with great food and wonderful food options. A great wine list. Helpful service. I will keep coming back. The only issue is that it's noisy. All hard surface walls, so it's hard to have a conversation with so much background noise and music that was too loud. Perhaps an early or later seating would avoid the noise, as the food is so very fine.

This weekend I was lucky to discover a new world, the world of fantastic Chinese fusion kitchen. There are no enough words to describe the whole palette of tastes and flavors you will experience when trying every dish created by Chef Anna. Tomato salad was something unbelievable, I never thought that it could taste that way. Wonton and noodles are definitely my favorite! And lychee sorbet was fantastic! Soo good in this hot weather, and wines they offer are amazing:) already want to come back again!

Let the staff order for you and you’ll walk out an exceedingly happy customer. Those with hearing issues will want to grab tables at the front which are slightly quieter, as there are no absorbent surfaces, music is played and the space is intimate and usually completely full of lively happy people.

I booked reservations at Alma this evening to celebrate a birthday and we left very disappointed. Most of the dishes were underwhelming or burnt. The only dish we enjoyed were the soft fluffy baos. However, it seems like they only serve 2 baos for $17 when they previously have served 3 for the same price. The bottom of the radish cake was burnt and attempted to be masked with the sauce. Pork wonton noodles were mid, nothing special, missing a kick of flavour. The lamb was way over cooked to the point where it was burnt and dry. Very difficult to eat like jerky. Service was fair, but staff didn’t bother to ask how we were doing. This restaurant does not live up to its Michelin recognition.

Food and the wine are definitely the star of the show at Alma! Every dish ordered was superb! (Although the take out portions we ordered seemed a tad small) Definitely recommend to go with a group of four or more so there’s more to share, as there were more than a few things we would have liked to try but just did not have enough room in our bellies to do so! A delightful selections of wines to indulge in as well! (and the more you eat, the more you can drink, rite?) Would not recommend the counter seating, as you’re staring at a wall, not the kitchen or bar… (although there was a couple seats at the bar that would be a good time!) There’s even a few seats outside to enjoy some sips and nibbles too! Congratulations on the Michelin Bib award, well deserved!
