Allsopp & Chapple Restaurant + Bar
The Great Gatsby specialty drink was delicious, and the filet was cooked to perfection. My companions agreed it was the best meal we have had lately. The service was excellent as well. We will definitely return.
Enjoyed my pork chop, with apples and mashed potatoes. Cocktails were well received!
Excellent food and service, can't wait to go back!
Overpriced is the word that would best describe Allsopp & Chapple. With restaurants like Bruno's and Samantha's across the street, I hope they can find their niche. Drinks were good and food was decent.
This was our revisit after a mediocre experience in the fall. The food was outstanding! The service was slow, but accurate on the first attempt and friendly. The ambiance improved as they turned down a very bright light overhead about halfway through the dinner and it made a huge difference. This was a better experience than the first and we will be back. Improved with loss of potential building on outstanding quality of the food.
Nice place but no outdoor seating. Classic dining experience but feels outdated. Food was good
Fantastic new addition to the downtown area. I took out of town guests here and was not disappointed. Service and food both delivered beyond my expectations.
Open table took the reservation. I received a confirmation email and a reminder email; however, the restaurant was closed. With the reservation being made for Easter this caused a huge inconvenience for our family as every restaurant was booked.
Great live music and a wonderful Easter buffet. Not your typical buffet food. Interesting and delicious
This was Easter brunch, not a typical lunch meal. While there were a few cooked to order items offered, most of the food was offered via buffet on the bar. It’s a crowded setup.
Re music: I think that keyboard with volume control might work. The saxophone is too loud for that space.
Re service: we were eventually told about made-to-order options, but this should have been communicated as soon as we sat down.
Re food: carved beef was “inedible,” one guest said. Rest of the food line was average. I should have cooked.
We frequent this restaurant for dinner and think it’s terrific for dinner.
Easter lunch was wonderful. Enjoyed the food and the service was good. Makes for a very nice special occasion.
Large (maybe too large) dinner serving size. Great but abbreviated wine list. Nice variety for entrees. The fried portobello mushroom appetizer was excellent. No complaints about service whatsoever.
We throughly enjoyed our meal. It was perfect. The restaurant decor was upscale, the ambience pleasing, the service and friendliness outstanding, and our food stupendous. We were celebrating the 27th anniversary of our first meeting each other on a blind date arranged by mutual friends. We have been together ever since. We will definitely be returning to Allsopp & Chapple.
Ate at A & C for a Fri night date after being downtown for another event. We were 30 mins late for 7pm reservations and were taken immediately to a table. Service then was prompt, friendly, efficient and friendly. I think our server was Andrea. She was great. Had great cocktails, a wonderful portabella appetizer and split a filet which was cooked perfect with a delicious wine sauce. Really loved the small atmosphere. Think A & C is a fabulous addition to the crowded Main St scene. Will go back soon.
Food was great. Chartruterie plate was more fruit than meat and cheese. They could expand the menu item options.
Menus were also dirty from previous use. Single use or laminate and wash them.
The vegetarian hash was the most ill conceived vegetarian dish I have eaten. It was just a bunch of half-cooked vegetables with a scattered tree trunk of asparagus and a poached egg. No flavor whatsoever. Most everyone else said their food was good or ok. The gratuity was included but we could only find out by asking to see the itemized bill. Our waiter was excellent.
My wife and I had been to Allsopp & Chapple for appetizers, drinks and dessert on earlier occasions. When it came time to select a restaurant for a dining experience for her Birthday, my wife selected Allsopp & Chapple because of our past experiences there made a wonderful, positive impression on both of us. The food and service were both excellent and the ambiance was wonderful for intimate dining. We will definitely return there for dinner in the near future.
Wonderful dinner and great night out. Really enjoyed the music duo.
Good food, good cocktails, great music.
Great food, great service from Caleb, and a well mixed drink. Great steak, perfectly cooked. The live music was also a treat. This place is a hidden gem. Will visit here when back in the area.
The food was outstanding and the chef came to our table.
We enjoyed our dinner very much!
It was ok but not exceptional. Roasted beet salad needed way more beets, cheese & nuts - dressing was tasteless. Steak salad was boring. No smoke in Smokey ranch.
Such a gem in the downtown area with REAL food, plus an incredible bar. Also, a very good lunch option with farm fresh food.
This was our first time visiting and could not have been more impressed. The food and service were fabulous. A must try!!!
Excellent food and service!
What an amazing dining experience! The food was so good and the service was great. Our new favorite place.
Excellent food buffet for brunch...
music was a bit too loud but a nice touch to Sunday brunch. If you left hungry, it was your fault...
Pricing was as expected
Will definitely plan on this being my “ go to” for Sunday brunch
Great service and even better food! Give them a try.
We got the filet and the grouper. Filet was fantastic but was not impressed with the grouper or the crab that was placed on top of it.
We arrived at the restaurant 10 Mina early and they checked us in for our reservation at 7:30 . The Hostess said to go ahead and hang out at the bar and she would come get us in a minute. We did not get a seat till almost 15 minutes after our reservation for 730. The restaurant had many open tables available. We ordered an appetizer and two entrées our waiter only came and checked on us once we never received our appetizer and waited 45 minutes for entrée. After we were almost done with their meal our waiter came over and asked if we still wanted the appetizers he just noticed it. The food was very delicious. The service was not as great . I would’ve been more understanding of the restaurant was slammed packed but it was not the waiter kept coming over to a couple next to us that was there longer than we were and was apologizing we got our food and left before they did. Really sure why we use that app when we were seated on us 15 minutes after a reservation that did seem awesome if they would’ve abided by it The review for other people I would say yes the food is very delicious the cocktails were good and that’s about it I would’ve hoped for way better service on a tab over $100 for just a couple date night.
A little noisy otherwise great food and drink
I am not sure if I labeled the noise level properly, it definitely was not noisy! Anyway, our server was Jennifer and she was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable and helpful with her recommendations. This is more of a pricey restaurant, though we were there for date night so it wasn't discouraging for us at all. I would say totally in line with relatively styled menus and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place, it really was great and we look forward to returning some time! :)
Great food and Service! The drinks were wonderful! Will definitely return!
Great experience on past visits but not this time. Charcuterie board always superb. Date’s shrimp and grits wonderful but my rib steak was tougher than shoe leather. Select grade would have been more tender. Won’t do the beef next time but will return based on prior experiences. Wait staff very good.
Visiting Little Rock, 'threw a dart' on Open Table and scored a Bull's Eye. A only one table occupied. Why then did the hostess offer us the two-top immediately inside the door first, after declining that, and the table in the window, we were seated next to the hall to the rest rooms?! I feel that if one is on time for the reservation, then a better table should be offered first. In this case, if being on the walkway to the restroom put us in Caleb's area, so much the better.
Friendly and efficient and knowledgeable service, delicious food, good timing, stayed open late for us after a show downtown at The Rep...did run out of some dessert by that time at night, which is understandable, but perhaps just keep some extras prepared for late night post-show dessert diners, as a suggestion. We will definitely recommend and be back!
Excellent ALL. Food / Service / Ambiance Today special with music
Friendly, comfortable, great menu, wonderful food, delightful Jazz. Can’t wait to return on either a Thursday or Sunday brunch for more great food and Jazz. Pinched myself to realize I was on Main Street in Little Rock!
