Dinner was fantastic! Other than the bar being out of Sangria, everything was great!
Great restaurant and very good food for a hotel.
Just ok. Have been thinking about trying this place for a while. It keeps coming up as a suggestion on open table. I guess it’s not bad if you’re staying at the hotel and don’t feel like venturing out... but there’s lots out there with better food and more variety. It’s probably not somewhere we’re going back anytime soon...
We were pleased with our dinner at Alloro DOC and are planning on returning. There were some minor service glitches but we will chalk those up to the extra demands of a Christmas dinner.
I would recommend going before sunset and grabbing a table with a view of the Catalinas. The changing light on the mountains is gorgeous.
My family and I visited Alloro DOC on Christmas Day for an early dinner and were so disappointed in the service and food we received. Our reservation was at 3:30pm and we arrived at 3:10pm. We were left standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes while the wait staff looked directly at us and ignored us. When we asked to be seated they said there were told there were no tables available. At that time the restaurant was virtually empty. I explained that we had reservations and they agreed to seat us. No apology for being rude. I took into consideration that it is the holidays and I am sure they were understaffed. However after sitting with nothing but water for 20 minutes. I finally got up and asked for a menu to review. That's when the waitress explained to me that there was no menu and we were to choose from two menu options. I wish we were told there was going to be a holiday pre-fix menu upon booking the reservation. Because there was no menu; there was no way for me to know the caesar salad I ordered included apricots. Who expects apricots in a caesar salad? The wait staff offered no acknowledgement for the slow service and the confusion. We were even told we couldn't have rolls with our meal. I could go on but you get the point. If you go there, leave immediately and go across the street to Culver's where at least you can get service with a smile, hot food and decent treatment.
The food and personal service at Alloro makes this rejuvenated hotel restaurant a hidden gem. Get a booth in the back for a romantic evening or eat at the bar, it's all great. The steaks here are nothing short of amazing, rivaling premier Tucson steakhouses such as Sullivan's or Fleming's, and the location on the far east side makes it unique in town. Korin is an attentive and professional server, and Darren, the manager is an expert on their nice wine selection which also has a number of premium value wines and spirits including some nice bourbons. A first class night out without having to pay a fortune... this is a real find. Bravo to Hilton for finally teaming a top Tucson (award-winning) chef with superior experienced service management at this nice location.
Service was good. Had a good prime rib cut only to be disappointed with no seasoning. Server and manager did point out they do not season the prime rib.
Very nice setting and plenty of excellent food and desserts at the Thanksgiving buffet. We want to go again next year. 😀🦅
The service and food here are excellent. The chef is one of the best in Tucson and consistently produces amazing dishes. The steaks here are better than most of the higher end steakhouses in Tucson. This is a real hidden gem!
Food and service were amazing!
We enjoyed the Easter Brunch. Food was plentiful and varied although they should have had hot tea more available (our server, Kevin, did make us some though -- he was superb!). A little pricey though.
Came to visit the Alloro DOC only to be greeted by rude servers & overpriced food. For the price you pay at this “restaurant” your better off going to a real restaurant like North Italia for better service & better quality food. Seems as if this restaurant is being ran by cheap management. Not only can you tell from the action of the employees, but even the portion of food you get compared to the amount you pay is ridiculous. Imagine going to a one star restaurant but paying a five star price. That’s this restaurant in a nutshell. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this so called restaurant to any friends of family. The Alloro DOC is more like a cafe at best.
Everyone was very pleased with the food and service, except the person who ordered the gnocchi, they were disappointed. I would go again and thought the pappardelle was great.
The service was excellent, great guy, really knew his stuff. The food was very good as well, a limited menu and a little pricey though. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing dinner in a very comfortable setting. Will certainly do it again.
My fiance and I dined here on a whim and were totally delighted, beyond expectations, with this comfortable space and clever treatments on old favorites - the food was just plain good. Will definitely return! Must give many thanks to manager Darren who looked after us graciously and gave us great tips on specials the restaurant features. I think this is a lovely spot for a date.
So thoroughly impressed it’s unbelievable! The service and food were big top notch!!!
Everything was excellent! Definitely will come back and highly recommend. Thank you for a great experience!
Ate here 2x while staing at the Hilton East Tucson.
Food: Delicious and creative. Was super impressed by burrata salad with their spin on a caprese. The bread and dipping oil were delicious. Also had the salad with raddichio (rich) but delicious. Entrees were pasta with short rib (very good) and gnocchi (also quite rich) but delicious! Would happily eat here again and recommend. The only thing that was a pet peeve was when an entree came out before being done with salad course. When we requested to split an entree, they did a nice job of that. Also, very very happy with the Italian varietals wine options in general.
Food was phenomenal as usual. Compliments to the chef. The fig stuffing was incredible!!!
Went for happy hour and to listen to music. Very, very overpriced beer and could only get a very limited menu in lounge area. BUT there was no service..... very poor choice on my part for my women's group.
The beef tartare and the parmesan fries are to die for!
Fabulous service and delectable steak tartare!
We chose to eat at this restaurant because we were staying at the hotel for our anniversary, and it was the best decision!! One of the best meals I’ve ever had! Large portions, perfect flavor, everything tasted so fresh and amazing and the service was phenomenal. I had the pappardelle (photo attached) and would highly recommend it!
We arrived for our 10 p.m. reservation, and they informed us that they closed at 9. Open Table, however, accepted reservations until 10:30. Somebody at Hyatt, where the restaurant is located, really dropped the ball. The restaurant manager did buy us a round of drinks to apologize, which was nice of him.
Food and service in the restaurant was fabulous. Service at the bar left much to be desired. Sat for 20 minutes at bar waiting for an acknowledgement, let alone service. No less than 6 employees behind bar and standing 6 ft away, including a manager. Just rude and poor customer service to not even acknowledge our existence.
The Seafood Buffet is not a buffet at all . No side dishes what so ever very limited selection
Before the Buffet vanished in the late 90's early 2k . It was way better more options ...even had a chef to make personal dish etc. 44$ a person was a rip off !even the seating is torn up and run down ! save the money and take your family to RED lobster ..its that bad!!!!
Over priced. Not a very big selection of food. For a buffet only a few choices. Very disappointed
Went here for Mother's Day. A little pricey at $44 but mom's were half price. Buffet was outstanding - prime rib, crab, shrimp, omelette guy, mimosa bar, and overall good food. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Well done, we will be back.
Meals were Nicely done and appointed well! Very good and filling proportion! Ohh and, Thanks for bringing back the Friday night Seafood Buffet!!!!!
Wonderful food and service an overall great dinning experience
