Our server was extremely polite and knowledgable. He helped us making good food choices.
Food was excellent.
Only negative point if I have to mention, is the price. The price of the meal was nominal, but the service charge was too much.
I came here for a birthday and this restaurant made the night so special. First, our menus said happy birthday with the name of the individual’s birthday it was. Then, the drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic (passion fruit mocktail was so good) were very good. We were started off with complimentary small mushroom soups and it was the tastiest mushroom soup I’ve ever had in my life. Each dish was tastier than the next, but my favorites were the Tajarin (duck egg pasta) and the lemon curd with vanilla gelato dessert. The service was also phenomenal. We had a miscommunication about one of our dishes and while we were waiting for it to be corrected, we were given more mushroom soup, compliments of the chef. We were also offered white truffle on top of our pasta in order to make up for the miscommunication. Every portion was perfectly sized so that you didn’t feel like you were overeating and could truly enjoy every dish to the fullest. Everything also came out in a timely fashion. There were also multiple servers who dropped off the food and each one said happy birthday, making the night even more special. To summarize, the food was absolutely the most delicious food I’ve had and the service was outstanding. I will definitely be coming back.
Food and service were beyond excellent!! I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special evening full of delicious food and wine!
Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and would come again.
Amazing hospitality and everyone was a true professional.
Foods was great! I have been dining here many times in the past but didn't realize the new prefix menu. I'm fine with the prefix menu but it forces you to eat too much and ended up with doggy bags which I know the food will not be the same when you reheat them. I wish they consider go back to the old menu options where you pick whatever you like to eat 🙏
Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the various dishes. Very impressed with the staff.
The food was amazing. Expect expertly prepared food in smaller quantities, good service and lovely little surprises along the way. I will definitely be back. It is quite expensive so it will have to be for special occasions, But I’m looking forward to it already!
Couldn't have asked for a better dinning experience. We could tell there was no going through the motions from any of the wonderful team at Allora. All truly cared and took much pride in their aspect of our dining experience. Then there's what we came for, the food. I'll just say 4 courses of heaven. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Allora!
I can't tell you what a special place this is. They really treat you like you are their most important customer. This is on my short list of best restaurants in Sacramento. The food ....wow! I will leave it at that.
The staff was so attentive and helpful. Had great knowledge of the menu and highlighted parts of the dishes that really make them unique. Every one of the courses lived up to their descriptions. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening.
Excellent gourmet experience! We highly recommend it.
Loved the food and personalized service!
Perfect meal! Fantastic service!
Food was very good however service not what you would expect for $500 dollars for 2! We ordered wine but appetiser arrived before drinks, we had to keep asking for wine top up, were told mid meal kitchen was closing and felt very uncomfortable as staff obviously wanted us to leave so they could go home
Not what we expected
My husband and I went for our anniversary and my birthday (same day). We both got the four course menu and really loved two of the four dishes we got. The other two were "meh." The portions were more than fair; almost too much for us. If we were to go again, we would just get the three course and you CAN sub courses for others with a small fee depending on which dishes are exchanged. Overall, the food was good and the environment was nice for a special occasion. However, it was hard to have a conversation over some inebriated guests that were hooping and hollering across the room. It kind of ruined the romantic vibe.
We sat on the back patio on Sunday night in mid-November. It was a chilly night but the space heaters were fine. It's a pre fixe menu. The food was excellent.
The service was wonderful everything was good. The issue I have is for the price I expected to be amazed. I found it underwhelming. For 1/3 the price I went to Canon and was very impressed the week prior. I just expected more bang for my buck. I work in the high end food industry and recognize the hard work. Just don’t think we will be returning.
Outstanding food and the service is excellent. My only concern is I would like the option of ordering individual items.
The outdoor patio was very nice. It had plenty of space heaters. Along the walls were these beautiful plants; they really made the space very inviting and pretty.
The service was excellent. Our server and the other staff members really tried to make the experience a nice one. Our server took the time to explain the menu and made great suggestions.
We went with the 5 course experience, but it was too much! If you pick lighter options then it will probably be fine, but we splurged and went with the heavier items so we were stuffed. The food was delicious.
If you are looking for a place to impress, Allora is definitely a place to do that.
Outstanding on all levels!!
We were very impressed with the service, my husband’s name on our group menu, it was his birthday. Impressed with the private room they put us in (didn’t ask for it), very nice and the food was simply amazing! 5 stars presentation again wait service. Definitely a wonderful dining experience! Thank you !!!!!
Excellent ambiance and great food. The service was amazing. Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
The dinner experience was outstanding. Server Danielle was great. The cocktails were good and the wine was exceptional, recommended by Danielle. All four of the meals looked divine and tasted better.
Every aspect of this place is never anything less than exquisite. An absolute gem. Stupid that they don't have a Michelin star.
We had a lovely evening. I would like to make a suggestion-the chairs on the patio are metal and very cold and hard this time of year. If a cushion was placed on them it solve the problem. I always think that when restaurants provide hard seat chairs they don't want you to be too comfortable and linger.
The Conserva 2.0 and Fettuccine were quite good, but the other dishes we had were just okay. The clarified Bourbon was great
Absolutely outstanding service, food and hospitality! What a treat and amazing dining experience.
Easily one of the best restaurants in Sacramento.
Celebrating a friends birthday. They made special menus with her name on them. Service and food are outstanding.
It was our first time at Allora. I had no idea that a restaurant like this was in Sac...delicious and inventive menu, great service, and down to earth atmosphere. Definitely worth the price.
Wonderful from start to finish!
Food and service were exceptional; we had a great time.
Great Restaurant! One of the best in Sacramento!
Fantastic, simply fantastic! The dinner items (3- and 4-course prix fixe) were all outstanding and very creative: the food was at the level of Michelin quality expectations. A great caviar service starter; tender pulpo, superb lobster fettuccine, wonderfully rich risotto and tender sea scallops. Almost no room for the rich spumoni bombe. The wine choices by the glass were also outstanding, and paired perfectly with the courses. Service was up to the standards of the food and wine. The outdoor patio is simple but comfortable and quiet. Arguably the most creative dinner experience in Sac (and most of SF...), even though expensive.
As always, Allora came thru with a memorable evening. Our anniversary. They are always accommodating and made the evening over the top. By far, our favorite evening out in Sacramento. Everything on the menu is delicious. The hard part is what to choose!!!
Allora is one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento area. I took a very dear friend for a belated birthday dinner as I wanted to share my love for this restaurant with her. My friend is a vegetarian so we ordered off of that menu, prix fixe. The food was wonder, as always. My complaint starts here. We asked our server if we could speak with the Sommelier for a recommendation on a bottle of red wine. The waiter told us that he would be able to assist us with our wine selection. We told him what flavor profiles we enjoyed. He promptly showed me the most expensive bottle on the list and stated that would be our best choice. I told him that was outside of the price I wanted to pay for a bottle of wine. I informed him of the price range I was interested in. He then proceeded to show me the next most expensive wine on the list. Again I stated that the price was outside of what I wanted to pay. His irritation with me was obvious and at that point he handed the wine list (an Apple iPad) back to me and I chose blindly from there. As the waiter's tip and "kitchen fee" are based, and included, on the total amount of the bill, I did not appreciate the waiter's blatant attempt to inflate the bill for his gain. I appreciate that this past year has been very difficult for the service industry but I found the behavior of the server to be totally unacceptable. I love the food at Allora but do not see myself going back any time soon.
Great dinner celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Nice restaurant for a special occasion. Fantastic food, and service staff were very attentive (including the wine Sommelier). A bit pricey, but overall an enjoyable evening.
Truly a gem. Outstanding service. A wine list packed with rarities and surprises, yet approachable. And the food…wow!
Not to be missed. Allora would be successful in any city in the country. Great flexibility within a pris fixe menu. Do not miss the scallops! Outstanding sommelier Elizabeth Rose
