Excellent food, ambiance, and service !
We went here for a late Mother’s Day Dinner and it did not dissolve! We chose the 4-course meal and everything was perfect. We all got different dishes so we could try a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the service as our waitress was very attentive and very informative about the menu! Overall, my family and I had a great experience & I will be coming back on special occasions.
My favorite dishes were the pollo, lobster fettuccine & the 72 hour short rib. YUM!!
5 stars from me!:)
Allora is my absolute favorite restaurant here on Sacramento. Hands down the BEST food and service available. I would dine here several times a week if my budget would allow it.
Lovely ambiance in the outdoor patio. Food and service were wonderful. Great place for a social occasion.
We had the best experience at Allora! The food was incredible. The staff was so knowledgeable and friendly. We went to celebrate a birthday and they even had personalized menus that said Happy Birthday (name) on them. 10/10 reccomend!
Without a doubt, hands down the best dining experience in Sacramento. We go to Allora often and have gotten to know Deneb and Elizabeth. As well as all of their staff. I took my wife on Mother’s Day and Brandy helped me with roses on our table. The food is to absolutely die for. We were watching the staff in the kitchen and they were obviously enjoying what they were doing. We always look forward to our next reservation which will likely be the “Caviar” event in July.
Absolutely amazing!!! There aren't enough words. I've been to the Kitchen twice and this reminded me of that in so many ways. The food was unbelievable. The hostess was so nice. It was our anniversary and she was just the nicest person. The bartender brought my wife her drink because it was one of his specialities. He explained what is was and the inspiration behind it. Just loved it!!
From Excellent service to food. 10/10 recommend for any special event or nice date night out.
Great food. Fantastic drinks. Good atmosphere.
Outstanding service. Taran has been our waitress the last two times. She is amazing. We did the wine pairing and it complimented the food so well. Can’t wait to go back!!
Everything about this dining experience was 5 stars. The food was served at appropriate temps and looked amazing. The service was the best I’ve had in any restaurant before. Will definitely visit again for special occasions.
Dining here was was a fantastic pleasure. All courses were delicious. We had the 3 course meal. The appetizer was to die for. My wife had the lamb which she praised to no end. I had the prawns which were incredibly delicious. And of Course the desert with egg whites crusted and strawberry with sauce.
Very, very nice gastronomic safari experience with my wife for our anniversary. I definitely recommend wine pairing. Be ready with the wallet.
Elegant, delicious food. Comprehensive wine list
Wednesday night with half off any bottles of wine is a great deal.
The vegetarian menu just isn't as good as we had hoped, and the cost was exactly the same as if we got fish or meat. It's such an expensive restaurant that we were hoping for a better experience. Also, the entree portion sizes were way, way too tiny. I've been to expensive restaurants many times, and I understand that portion sizes are often quite small. But this really took the cake. I couldn't quite believe how small they were.
Food and service were amazing!! For us however it was really expensive over $350 for meal, drinks, and tip.
Such a wonderful experience. Food was delicious. Presentation superb. Perfect attention to detail. We have decided Allora is the best place in Sac for dining.
Everything was perfect from the greeting to service to the food. I do not have any complaints or anything more to say. Except everything was perfect!!! Would highly recommend.
We had excellent service throughout and the food was delicious.
This was simply the best meal we’ve had in Sac.
We were celebrating a 72nd birthday...we received menus with Happy Birthday on them! That was just the start of a wonderful evening. Each time they brought out a new item...it was better than the last. Loved the ambiance...so nice to be able to dress up. And the bartender was the best...came over to speak to us about his creations. Great evening...we overspent but worth every $$$!
Phenomenal experience! Great food even better service!
Allora has gone with prix fixed menus. Be prepared to spend a minimum of $85 per person on food alone. The food was excellent and the wine list offered everything one could ask for in Italian wines.
The back patio is always lovely. The food and service impeccable!
The experience was not what I had expected. The servers regularly brought the wrong dish to the wrong person and we could not hear what the servers were saying due to the noise level and their being double masked. The setting was much less fancy and more informal that I think it should’ve been given the prices of the food. That said, the presentation of the plates was excellent. The meals were quite good, but not worth the price as they were not particularly memorable. If Allora wants to be on the same level as a Mulvaney’s building & loan or the Waterboy, they need to pick up their game.
We had an incredible time at dinner this night. Everything was so beautiful from the atmosphere to the plates.
High quality food, drinks, and service with unexpected, nice touches that will earn a return visit.
Great service from start to finish. The drinks were awesome- bartender even came by to explain and suggest his favorites and the chef visited our table to greet us too. Loved the Pearfetto, Gibson, and In Greeno Veritas. There was a little hiccup with our check, but that was cleared up right away. The food was wonderful. Favorites were the asparagus appetizers, polpo and pork belly. Also really liked the 72 hour short rib and scallops.
excellent evening, superb food and service and safe and welcoming ambiance!
Gourmet food deserving of its Michelin plate! Every course had creative combinations of flavors . Service overall was excellent but we were given vegan menus by mistake by the hostess. Honest mistake since the menus are sealed. But the hostess supervisor snapped at us when we brought it to her attention and said it was because the hostess was busy. There was no one else being seated when we arrived.
absolutely a wonderful experience, very attentive staff, delicious food and lovely spacing.
Allora is a dining experience worth trying. I took my wife for her birthday and Allora surprised her with her name custom printed on the menu. The food was brought out in courses and you looked forward to the next a new dish as they came out. The food was outstanding and the service matched. The ambiance was wonderful in the plant filled patio. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would do it again. I will prepare you for two things.... the cost makes this prohibitive for my wife and I to visit on a regular basis and we had to wait for around 45 minutes when we had reservations. The hostess was gracious and offered us seating on the inside right away but we had our heart set on the patio. They had a comfortable place to wait and they served us drinks and had the chef prepare a small appetizer on the house. It was worth the wait.
Special shoutouts to Elizabeth-Rose Mandalou, co-owner and Sommelier, and Stephen, our waiter.
Ms. Mandalou gave special assistance verify the condition of a 33-year old bottle to wine we brought to celebrate a special anniversary. Her counsel assessed the character of the bottle after its checkered history of storage and many moves, sampled the wine, and assured us we should not wait any longer to enjoy this bottle. We appreciated her bravery and candor!
Stephen was our delightful server. He informed us fully about our menu options and each dish as it was presented. We especially appreciate that he remember to ask about food allergies, which one of us has.
We have a lovely, dreamy anniversary experience. We heartily recommend Allora for any special occasion!
Really one of the best dining experiences in the Sacramento area!
I love having the patio option as we aren't quite ready for indoor dining, yet. They've made some changes to how their menu works, but the food and service is still the same top notch calibre you know.
Lovely food and impeccable hospitality!
Amazing restaurant. Beautiful decor. The food is reasonably priced, but it is easy to get carried away with the wine. They have an extensive cellar of Italian wines and incredibly knowledgeable staff that will pair a wine to your food. They will also give a little background on the wine and why they picked it. It is obvious that a lot of time was taken with all of them to properly familiarize them with the wines. While I do love Napa wines, it is nice to take a break and they have suck a great variety here. The food is incredible. Well prepared and presented with a good deal of customization and choice. Also nice that the head chef does not stay in the kitchen and makes a point to make rounds in the dining area the speak with the customers. I had been one time before and fully intend to go back again. I took my sister and she also intends to return. I really one have two negatives. It is real easy to spend a lot on the wine. Worth it, but be prepared to spend for the experience. The only other thing was that that night, the bar was slow and it took a while for dr in his to come out, even just the wines.
Always love a meal here!
There’s not enough good things I can say about our dinner at Allora. The cocktails were excellent, an astonishingly good wine list, and a meal that was superb start to finish. The potato gnocchi Smokey carrot was sensational, pretty sure I’ll dream about it! The duck confit entree was as good as I’ve had anywhere in the world... including Tour D’argent which is like the OG of Amazing duck restaurants. And to end the dinner with lemon donuts and a strawberry meringue thing that was a truly memorable dessert, we will be back again and again. Pricey but worth every penny.
