Lovely!! Perfect place for a long dinner or date
Went there on Tuesday for $1 oysters! They were beyond amazing! The service was great and prompt.
My wife and I made a reservation to celebrate are first month of marriage. I am a chef and my wife is a pastry chef and being from the industry we try make it apparent to treat are selfs to the other side every once in awhile. Needless to say we loved everything. From the moment we reached the front steps and the hostess opening the door to invite us in to the Sommelier giving us a complementary glass of sparkling. The service was stellar from every angle and the food was top of the line, fresh, rich, and technical loved it!
Incredible service and food. A bit pricey but sometimes you dont mind paying a little extra for an extraordinary meal and experience. The owner stopped by our table and spoke with us for several minutes answering our questions about the menu. What I truly loved about our experience was they were truly appreciative that we were there. They made us feel special and that they valued our patronage. Lovely people all around.
The ambiance, service and level of detail makes the dining experience superb. The cuisine and amazing Italian wine make the overall evening superlative. We loved our time.
We started our dinner with a seafood platter which was presented beautifully. Service was perfect for the entire meal. Wait staff was on point. Unfortunately as the dinner progressed, the food didn't hold up. Ingredients weren't seasoned enough. The bagna cauda didn't taste of garlic nor anchovies. The buccatini with crab had an overwhelming taste of onion instead of seafood. Ambience was fantastic and overall it made for a lovely evening.
We had a beautiful meal at Allora. I can't say enough good things. Perfect spot for a special occasion!
Food and server were wonderful!
This was our first time dining at Allora. We sat on the outside patio which was lovely. We had the walnut gorgonzola salad, little gem salad, duck confit appetizer, risotto, the fettucini with seafood and the Osso Bucco. The food and service were both excellent. Look forward to going back as soon as we can!
The hostess and manager were great from the start. We had a table outside and were concerned about it being too cold. They accommodated us by bringing two heat lamps over to our table. From there everyone was exceptional. The server was super attentive and was highly knowledgeable about the menu. We had no idea it was his first shift on his own. He was confident. Our water glasses were never empty. We sat outside and had the whole patio to ourselves for the first half of our date. It was peaceful and the ambiance was beautiful. The food was delicious and overall had a wonderful experience.
Such a great place to go for well prepared Italian food. Staff is top notch and knows how to pace a meal and address questions about food and wine.
We were celebrating an Anniversary with friends and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent as was the service. Thank you for a great experience.
What a beautiful evening on the patio. The food was great and so was the service.
Our waiter David definitely enhanced the evening with his knowledge and humor. The wine list was excellent and the entrees were absolutely delicious! The appetizers were good, but were far outshined by the entrees and the dessert.
The service, the food, the wine, the ambiance - I can’t rave enough about this place. If you’re a first time go-we please order the muscles appetizer! Finish with halibut for dinner and wash down with a nice bottle of Nebbiolo. I can’t wait to bring a bigger group to Allora. I am just overwhelmed by the positive experience! Thank you for providing for such an outstanding dining experience.
Overpriced. Skimpy glasses of wine. Excellent pasta dishes! Waitress was like a kindergarten teacher. Elton was excellent.
We celebrated my dad’s 96th Birthday and the experience was incredible. Everyone greeted him warmly and wished him a Happy Birthday. We were treated with such care and it was super special.
Fan for life!!!!
Fantastic attentive service, perfect specialty cocktails, and divine food! We had to hustle to an event and the server was attentive in making sure we made it on time:).
From the moment you walk in to Allora, you know there’s something special about this restaurant. The sommelier greeted us and held the door open as we entered. The decor is an emerald mid century dream. Our cocktails and wine were perfectly paired with our food choices. The food was incredible and seemed to be more impressive with every course. We will be back, many times!
Very good service food is delicious bit pricey
The food was excellent. The service was great it just took a long time for someone to come over and take our drink order and go over the menu.
First time at Allora and it did not disappoint. Recommend going on wine Wednesday and getting a bottle at half price. I liked that there were so many wines to choose from at all price ranges. Service was perfect and the bucatini was one of the best pastas I’ve had all year.
The food and service were both amazing. We went for my son’s 15th birthday and he loves the lobster fettuccine, which was delicious as always.
This is probably the best restaurant in Sacramento!!! Keep it up!
Wonderful vegetarian food and knowledgeable server made a great dining experience. Just a bit noisy for me
The attention to detail and service was impeccable.
The ambience and service are exceptional as are the menu choices and wine and cocktail offerings. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and will be back soon.
Service level needs improvement. It does not correlate with the pricing.
Great food and service!
Amazing service and delicious food, great experience!
I am excited about the place because of the quality of food and the detail in the wine list which is focused on regional Italian wine. I noticed the server's detailed understanding of the dishes, and wine that shows some good understanding of the proper service behind the scene. This a successful attempt to provide the Sacramento area with a classy restaurant that stands up to standards of fine dining. If there is a criticism, in my mind, it is about the loud vibe and inadequate attention to acoustics of the dining hall. With some attention to details, Micheline star is not out of realm of imagination.
Sat outside on a beautiful autumn early eve on wine Wednesday and again everything from service to ambience to the amazing small plates we ordered were perfect. This restaurant deserves michelin recognition
The food was marvelous. Incredibly tasteful with unusual combinations. Tastefully presented.
The service was terrific, thoughtful and attentive. Ambience is very nice. It did get a bit loud after the restaurant filled up. Will definitely be back again.
We had heard great things about the restaurant, with a great wine list (that's true!) and read good reviews, so were eager to enjoy in the great ambience, and food. While the food was very tasty and well-prepared, and the service over-attentive, it was no better than various other restaurants of that same level and in the nearby/midtown area. What was very disappointing and a negative was the seeming hidden agenda of "add-ons" offered/recommended without prices which led to a simple Sunday dinner for 3 (starter & main, no dessert, and 1 bottle of reasonable wine) being &400. That was because "the chef suggests some shavings of Burgundy truffles with that" meant 3 meager shavings of truffles (with barely a perfume) on the very tasty Osso Buco. That added $50, and then the suggestion of scallops added to the risotto... and so it went. Go for the very tasty food and excellent wine list... but beware of the "chef suggests" so you don't leave feeling ripped off as we did.
Really great meal with top wine selection. Ask for guidance through the extensive Italian wine list
The food and service are both amazing. The scallops, tartare, salad and dessert were all excellent. Best overall restaurant in Sacramento!
We loved our first time at Allora. The food was really top notch with a mix of wonderful flavors and textures. We'll be back.
Food and Service was outstanding. Definitely coming back
Food was solid, the wait staff were attentive , pleasant and professional. Very nice experience will definitely be dining there again in the near future!
Everything could not have been better
