Tuscan Baby Kale Salad
Baby kale, raisins, walnuts, raspberry dressing with dry ricotta
Atmosphere of true NYC Italian restaurant! Excellent food - 30' long pasta noodle and lobster ravioli with great appetizers! We came here because of location near our hotel on Memorial Day Weekend.
Probably the best Italian we have ever had and the service was awesome. Such nice people. We usually never leave a review for restaurants, but they deserve it.
Old school service with great attention to detail combined with excellent food. A win/ win dining experience with perfect ambiance.
i felt there were intentionally misleading communication that lead to several charges on our bill. we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling. there was no mention of tap - we did say still assuming we were getting tap water - $30. Two of us each ordered the pasta special which was enormous and served family style and $46 - there was no mention of size or a suggestion that it could be shared. Lastly, the other 4 guests ordered the fish special which was 45, as well. Our server said “and for vegetables we have...” leading us to believe it was included and not al la carte. The tactics were dishonest and certainly misleading.
Great “go to” Italian!
Excellent table side Caesar salad, all the food was great. Service too. I will return and would definitely recommend.
Went there to celebrate getting engaged to my fiancé! All the way from Oregon, Allora gave us the true Italian experience we were looking for. Food was excellent, service was even better! Wine selection was incredible and the ambience was perfect! Highly recommend!
We had a great time! Would return tomorrow.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner - 2nd time there and we will definitely be back!!
The staff was unbelievable! I loved every minute, even on my way out...I felt as though I was leaving my Villa in Italy all over again, right here in NYC!
Food was too salty and the place was dark, very sus
This place is a true gem in Midtown East. The owner who was also functioning as the maître d’ was just wonderful. Extraordinarily attentive service. Fabulous well-crafted food. Very reasonable as well. If you’re looking for great northern Italian this place is it!
The place was closed. Opentable accepted my 2:30 PM reservation for rooftop that opens at 5PM))) I kissed the closed door😟
Loved the service and atmosphere. Very romantic. We were provided with complementary small plates before we ordered. After eating, a dessert cart was rolled around and we were given moonshine on the house! A very nice surprise. Would definitely come here again.
Food was good, but not worth the price. They overcharge for almost everything, but we did get free appetizers.
Such a welcoming place!! Delicious food and great hospitality. Highly recommend!! A great neighborhood find for us
Wonderful meal. Amazingly attentive service. I felt that we were very much appreciated. Best veal parm i have had in a long time.
Had dinner here with a friend. The space is relatively small and charming, with tables spaced well apart. Background music is "Sinatra" type jazz, low enough so you can converse easily. The Maitre D' is a delight. Big personality, warm and eager to ensure that all his diners are happy. Most of our dishes were excellent to outstanding. We loved the baby kale salad appetizer with raisins, walnuts, ricotta and raspberry dressing, and both mains were fabulous: Black Pappardele fra diavolo with zucchini skins, mushrooms and a perfectly spicy tomato sauce, and Chicken breast filets dipped in parmesan and sauted in lemon and white wine/butter sauce (one of the specials that evening). Our other appetizer was a special, as well, and the only mixed note: a scallop with a tomato based sauce was perfectly cooked and delicious. But the single whole calamari on the same plate was too tough, and what appeared to be a heart of palm with sauce was good but not memorable. Chocolate cake for dessert was delicious. Red wines start at $59 and escalate quickly from there. Our bill with tax, before wine, was $170. Feels a bit expensive for this level but not egregiously so. And we had a wonderful evening here. Recommended for a romantic dinner or when you're in the mood for great food and service with friends or family.
Delicious, fresh dishes.
We were greeted with nothing but kindness. The servers were amazing and friendly. The food was fantastic. Would definitely come back again.
Pasta alle vongole was nothing close to what they were supposed to be.
Amazing food and service!! Best Italian in New York City!! Hi eat there today, you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy the specials.....especially
Fantastic experience! Benny and Ellio will take care of you!
I loved the food and especially Manager ! He was so nice 🙏🏻❤️
It was hectic which is understandable because it was Valentine’s Day however, our waiter forgot about us and when we tried talking to the manager about the service he brushed us off. When we got our waiters attention he remembered then our food to then informed us that there wasn’t anymore of what we ordered and It took us 3hrs to get our food. Our waiter even tried to make us a complimentary drink but it was horrible.
This place is not prepared for indoor dining. We showed up on-time for an 8:45p reservation and were not seated until almost 10:00. The entire place was chaotic and there was several arguments between patrons about who was "next in line" for a table (why was there a "line" to begin with -- they should have been seating people in order of reservation times).
Overbooked dozens of reservations on Valentine's Day, line around the block, people crammed into a 100% capacity restaurant. Watched the Maitre D pick up and immediately hang up my call (and others). Rude and irresponsible. Waited until 9PM for an 8:15 reservation before we finally gave up and went somewhere else.
Had a beautiful date . The food was amazing just a bit noisy
Great experience for me and my wife
Lovely restaurant, great food, fabulous service.
Wonderful place with outstanding food quality and impeccable service!
The restaurant wasn’t even open. This needs to be updated
Our drinks and meal were excellent. Just tried this place on a whim, we will definitely be back.
Incredible food & service. All staff member are so nice and friendly. They make you feel right at home! And the food is AMAZING. Every dish was immaculate. Can’t wait to go back soon!!!
Alora is one of our favorites restaurants in New York! So happy it was open again and was just as wonderful as it ever was!
Can’t wait to go back 😉
Loved the service and overall experience... Totally up my alley, service was superior!
A little pricey but hey, it's Manhattan.
I really enjoyed the food and the wine at Allora. I also liked their outdoor "social distancing" dining set up. I'd come back again for sure.
Honestly the only i was ok with was the food And I mean ok & service wasn’t all that Great it took 2 hours for our meal also My woman was so uncomfortable people smoking marijuana in front of Customer’s and smoke being blown to my woman & yea sorry and oh yea did I forget to mention it was my birthday celebration and it got ruined I’m sorry for the first time being here it will be certainly my last totally unacceptable
Very good place and great service.
