Everything from our greeting at the host stand to the food to the wine and our service at the table, A+ all the way. Coming from a foodie city like LA, I was so happy to find something so on the mark as Allium in the quiet town of Great Barrington. Highly recommend!

Very Limited but decent menu. Portions on a light side relative to price charged. Wine choice is good but somewhat NYC pricey. Daily menu -don't read the one that's on-line.

Allium had a small plates menu the night we went; it was in honour of their ten-year anniversary. They were all good but I especially recommend the fish talk and the steamed buns with pork belly. The place had a younger feel than some other restaurants in the Berkshires while still taking its humanely sourced food seriously.

Mother's Day dinner. The food had a lot of buildup on the menu but didn't seem to follow thru. The service was odd for a place like this expected more professionalism - plates not cleared from apps before dinner came out.

We enjoyed Allium. Overall, the staff at the bar and at the tables was very personable and pleasant. Our meals were good (I had the carrot & ginger soup which was delicious and the steak w/bok choy which was good but I would have enjoyed another element to the dish. My partner had the mussels for appetizer and the fish tacos which both got good reviews.) I would recommend this restaurant and we will go back next time we are in town.

Disappointing. Visiting from Chicago- thought this would be a special meal. Server not engaged - poor explanation of dishes. We had small plates. Dishes less interesting than menu suggested. Fish tacos messy , steamed buns with pork - nothing special. Salads okay. But all overpriced. Wines by glass limited and uninteresting.

It was our 35th anniversary and first time based on a recommendation. Excellent waiter who provided spot on advice for navigating the menu. We shared 3 small plates which were all delicious. Great cocktails made from scratch. Very creative menu, need to go back to try more.

love Allium. Best french fries ever. The service needs work, however. Very slow, and sometimes the waiters are forgetful, though always very nice,

Our go-to -favorite never fails to delight! A unique bottle of wine replaced what we had ordered after Jason's realization that our choice was unavailable. Cocchi Americano was ordered/served ...wow ! Popcorn always a must, olives and deviled eggs were our apps.
The steak -culottes and mussels I shared and were prepared beautifully. The chocolate boudino
desert we shared - like always, swooned. Allium reigns in the garden and in the Berkshires!

The food was outstanding, the service was super. It was a cold night and we werent sitting by the door but each time the door opened it got really cold. They could use a buffer between the outside and the dining area. But it was a really enjoyable meal.

Allium is one of my favorite local go-to restaurants. The atmosphere is modern, the food prices are reasonable and their fish tacos are my favorite!

Lovely atmosphere. Warm and cozy. Friendly and helpful waitstaff with just the right amount of oversight. Lovely glass of Processo. I had fish tacos and they were very good. Not over the moon tasty but that might have been my fault as I asked to have the hot sauce on the side. Very fresh ingredients. Will definitely go back here the next time I am in town.

Sadly we were five and seated by the toilets with 2 mismatched tables of different heights so the seating was not great and made us feel rather unwelcome. Not a great start to the experience and to be offered a cold table by the door or window on a night with frigid temps was not appealing either. Food was fine, long wait between first and main course, but our steaks were cooked as asked and tasted great.

My new favorite restaurant! Allium offers an eclectic menu, with lots of vegetarian options (we had one vegan and one vegetarian in our group of four). We tried six of the small plates and each one was unique, with interesting combinations of flavors, and delicious. (My favorite was the roasted hen-of-the-woods mushrooms, but the farro salad and falafel were a close second). The service was friendly and warm without being overbearing and intrusive - struck the perfect note. A decadent chocolate dessert (budino) was declared "the best dessert we've ever had" by our table. We plan to become regulars!

Consistently good food! My husband and I dine here regularly and can count on the quality and presentation. The tapas dishes, categorized as 'starters' are often large enough for a main course. I normally have two starters and that more than satisfies me. We particularly like the fish tacos, mussels, and kale salad. Enjoy!

Excellent creative food in a warm but modern atmosphere. Both small plates and large plates were delicious. Locally sources. Slightly pricey but worth it. Recommend the kale salad, deviled eggs, charcuterie, olives, trout, mussels. Mussels just amazing actually in chick pea tomato type broth. Smoked artic char salad great. Our food adventurous kids loved it too. Good cocktails that were well priced.
