Overall our dining experience was okay. Server was lovely and he was accommodating. The 4 of us thought the food was ok, a bit inconsistent. The friend onions, burger were tasty and the pasta dish all get a thumbs up! Not so much for the steak and chicken dish. Room for improvement. Lovely ambiance.

We found a table at the last minute. We sat down, for fast, and order food. The first appetizers were good. We shared chickpeas and onion rings. The food took a while to get in and other tables that have arrived later than us were served first. We had to remind the server to bring us the food. The food itself was actually good, I had mostly vegetarian place and I was very satisfied with it. When the server came to the table with the food, the ketchup cup fell on top of my mother-in-law's wool sweather. Her sweater was stained with ketchup and although the server seemed apologetic, she did not bother to at least waive my mother-in-law dinner or offered her a drink. She basically said I'm sorry and continue her service as if nothing had happened. I found this rude and inconsiderate given that she screw up the wool sweater my mom-in-law was wearing that night. Based on this I would definitely not come back.

Our sixth annual visit. The menu style has changed significantly though the focus on local inputs and simple prep remains and is very well done. Prefer former selection range but overall still an excellent job. Bar has gotten a little too esoteric though still good preparation.

This is the second time we dined at Allium. The food, the ambiance and the service were all excellent. It is also a beautiful restaurant. I would heartily recommend this dining spot.

I was disappointed that the menu that is on their website is not at all like what they have when we were there. We came with 3 guests that only eat fish or dairy, and the options were limited. The only fish item was a porgy. yuck!

When traveling we try to find places that source local, fresh ingredients and are more apart of a community than a tourist spot. Allium fit the description perfectly and we had an excellent meal! It was a very pleasant evening in a warm, welcoming restaurant.

We've been here before and were disappointed with the menu, which seems to have changed drastically since last year. There are very few items on the menu, and most of the small plates don't have any (or a minimal amount) of a protein source. In addition, the two small plates we tried were bland and tasteless. My drink was well prepared and my husband's wine was good, so a happy hour or late night drink would be fine.

We always enjoy the food at this casual restaurant in Great Barrington. In the past, service could be spotty. This was very different during our most visit, which showed a marked improvement. when it was professional, attentive and helpful. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Share plates were especially good, main courses less interesting. Great service and decor. Seated in the main dining room, we found it to be quiet so easy to have a conversation. Wines by the glass were unique and quite good. We did not find Allium to be a great value for the food quality and originality, but we would not hesitate to go back.

Wooo hoo .... drinks were well done; bourbon selection could’ve been better. Appetizers like hen of woods mushrooms rocked!! And the burger was unique and awesome

Made a reservation giving us 2 hours before a theater performance next door. We were seated and did not receive our first course for 45 minutes. Patrons who did not make reservations but merely walked in were served before us. We had to race through our 2 other courses and were almost late for the performance. The food was lackluster and the service was chaotic and terrible. That will be our first and last visit to Allium.

My wife and I were here for a special occasion.....our first week of summer! The food was simply top notch in every way. The kale salad, Hen in the Forest, the organic burger, were absolutely great. The Rhubarb Pavlova is aptly named....a memorable dessert if ever there was one!

Our meal was absolutely delicious! Cody, our waiter was wonderful. He was fun, attentive, flexible and kind. It was a perfect evening, meal and location to catch up with an old friend. I also had to go back the next day with my mom to have her taste one of the incredible appetizers. Cannot wait to get back there for dinner (I live out of town).

Been to Allium multiple times (~6) and its always great. We had not been for awhile (trying other spots, no food or service issues) and we were so happy we decided to go back. Allium is comfort and creative at the same time. A great place to eat healthy, good cooking that has a unique spin. Allium gives you so much - without going over the top with fancy or $. While we will keep on trying new stops - Allium remains a go-to spot.

My risotto was good but I think the menu was too limited. Small plates were not enough for a dinner meal and the bigger offerings were very few.

Alium had been a go to place for me for many years. It had some of the best and most interesting food in the area. However there is a new menu and it is very limited. Many of the best dishes are off the menu and the replacements aren't good. Perhaps there is a new chef but I believe they will definitely lose business. So my vote went from very good to good and can't go often because there are not enough good choices.

We shared several small plates, and the dishes were all interesting and delicious, as well as beautiful. Our server was busy and a bit distracted -- so not always easy to get her attention -- but she was also friendly and knowledgeable.

Although we did receive our appetizer, the staff "lost" our entree order. The waitress never checked with us to ask how our entrees were, because she would have seen we never received them. After about 40 minutes, she realized something was off, checked with the kitchen and was told they had made our order. What a fiasco!! When we finally got our food, which we were told was rushed through, it arrived barely warm. Although she offered to comp us for dessert, we just wanted to get out of there. This would never ever have happened in a well run restaurant. In NYC (where we live) they would be out of business in 5 minutes.
