   A birthday party and we were treated very well. 7 of us enjoyed an amazing meal. We shared everything and they made it easy. The beet puffs, pate, olives, and milk bread were a few of the appetizers were enjoyed. We then shared the prime beef, hot chicken and petrale..Andrew was very knowledgeable about the wine list and we had a wonderful Turley zin and a fruity pinot blanc. All in all a fantastic experience. They were packed and gave attentive, professional service. Would definitely go again!

   The wine pours were very light. I mean, $20+ for a small glass of middling wine. I felt like I was being nickel and dimed. I will not return for this reason alone. Everything else was great.

   We had an excellent celebration meal at Alley and Vine. The food was truly exceptional; without exception, each dish was special and perfectly executed. Unlike many other delicious meals had, I believe we will all be able to recall specific dishes at A&V because they were such unique and tasty combinations of flavors and textures. Compliments to the chefs! Service was also impeccable, drinks excellent, and the ambience lovely.

   I want to love this place, the ambiance and service is always great but they struggle getting some of their dishes right. We enjoyed the Mother's Day Brunch, two of us ordered the beet starter which was yummy, the other two ordered a chicory salad with chicken fried oysters which I was jealous of until I tried the oysters which were nearly impossible to chew, it was as if they were fried hours earlier and sitting on a plate growing stale. The salad also had croutons that tasted rancid which is just wild because it's so easy to make delicious croutons, but these tasted like they came out of an expired bag... Mind you this brunch is $60 a head and with drinks and the gratuity they automatically include, it came out to about $90 a head. Two of us ordered the steak oscar, one of which was my Mother's which was seriously undercooked (embarrassing since it was mothers day lol). The service is excellent and the ambiance is great, but the quality of the food is so disappointing for the price.

   This food is outstanding, and always made with a light touch (even the richer dishes) and high-quality ingredients. Some servers are more talented than others, but I’ve never experienced less than acceptable service here.

   Honestly, one of the best meals I've had in a while. Everything from the jump was exquisite. Cocktails on point. The Menu is a perfect mix of small/medium/large dishes that are perfect to share. Don't miss the Crispy beets with s side dressing that had the consistency of a fluffy cloud. Don't miss the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Dumplings!!!

    There were some tasty dishes, but plate setting was a bit odd (ugly) for a 70$ dish, they charge for table bread and every little thing for a restaurants that is already so pricy. we sent back one dish that was quite bland :( Good for a date night with the right dishes.

    Wow! What an amazing treat for our palette! The menu is very unique so I didn’t know exactly what to expect. I’m not really an adventurous eater but so glad I did. Everything was fabulous. The drinks were great (even though we went simple with margaritas, wine, and mojitos), the food delicious, and the service wonderful. Thank you for this special night!

    Had been hearing good things about this little gem tucked away in an alley and finally had a chance to try it. The outdoor seating looked lovely but the indoors is bright, spacious and comfortable. The service was attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. We started with the milk bread, pate and oysters. The star of this trio was the pate with the mochi donuts. The milk bread was a bit dry and we’ve had better elsewhere. The oysters were tasty but nothing special. We shared the grilled ribeye and the asparagus. Both were fantastic in flavor and preparation. The Citrus Got Real cocktail is a perfect pick-me-up, very refreshing and delicious. Definitely plan on returning to try more of what they have to offer.

    Alley & Vine had amazing, delicious, and inventive food! I took a friend there to celebrate her pregnancy and soon giving birth, and from the service, to the outdoor (but very warm) environment, to the food, helped in the celebration. Thank you Alley & Vine! I will be back!

    Food for easter brunch was outstanding, and service was excellent. my only critique (which seems to now be a consistent theme every time I dine here) is that the food takes a very long time to arrive. For Easter Brunch, we waiting about 40 minutes before we received our first course (however, drinks came out quickly). We noticed other diners were also waiting quite a long time for each course. Our entree probably arrived 30 minutes later. Everything tasted absolutely delicious, and the wait staff was very attentive, but it seems there is an issue in the kitchen in terms of timing of meal prep/firing.

    Always an amazing dining experience at Alley & Vine. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food is thoughtful, fresh, and at a consistently high caliber. They have a new chef and menu and it's always fun to see what they have cooking up over there, including new cocktails. My favorite is the Truffle Maker with bourbon.

    We are so glad that Alley & Vine participated in Alameda's Restaurant Week. We'd been wanting to go and experience the restaurant, but needed a little push. The Fixed Prix was incredible. The Potato Leek soup was delightful, the Chicken A la Diabla was the best restaurant prepared chicken we've ever had, and the Lemon Cake was a wonderful way to finish dinner. The wine pairing was perfect and reasonably priced. We will be going back soon. We recommend that everyone puts Alley & Vine on their go to restaurant list.

    Five of us celebrated my daughter’s birthday. A really great time and evening including mellow service by Andrew and some mean cocktails by bartender Jess. Pork chops, Beef fillet, homemade shrimp pasta and two orders of the whole fried Branzino were home runs!! Plus their desserts are slam dunks too. Joint looks like a good date place for dudes looking to impress!

    We were seated closely to 2 other tables, and although the food was tasty, we both rated each course around a 6/10. This was not worth a $260 dinner for two people in my opinion. We’ve been wanting to try Alley and Vine for some time so was a little disappointed. This was a prefixed menu so maybe their normal dishes are a bit better. The crab risotto and beef filet were delicious.

    Paid a huge tab for Valentine's dinner. The steak entrée was wonderful! But first course and dessert was lackluster. The service was very nice but so, so slow. It took forever to get our drinks that were paired for each course. We received our cocktails AFTER we finished our first course. We won't be going back.     I really liked the space. It has a nice feel but it is way too loud. There must be sound absorbing tools. I needed to lean in whenever my husband was talking. The food was good but a bit expensive.

    One of the best restaurants in Alameda! Our group of 3 had the filet of beef, branzino, and squash risotto, and everything was delicious. For dessert I highly recommend the pot de creme and the tangy Meyer lemon cake.

    Only complaint is portion size for appetizers… half egg for a deviled eggs appetizer is ridiculously small appetizers are usually shared and it’s almost impossible to share a half an egg.
