Allen's is reminiscent of a New York City saloon from ages past. The tin ceiling, the wood floors and the cozy old bar make it an experience in itself. Yet Allen's also has a fabulous menu that is sure to inspire and delight.

With more than 300 kinds of whisky, more than 100 wines and over 140 beers, it will satisfy your need for liquid refreshment. The food is pub fare improved thanks to the reliance on organic and locally raised meats and careful preparation. Burgers, salads, soups and so much more await those who pay a visit to Allen's.

    Our friends have visited many times. Enjoyed very much, sitting on the patio opened my summer, very peaceful with a beautiful very old very tall tree, very nice ambience. Friendly service and hosting. The indoor was noisy and hectic with the servers at 7PM and when we left it was almost empty. The bathrooms are downstairs, and a main floor bathroom next door at another restaurant. The food is very good, although the calamari breading fell off the calamari. The ribs were good except could have been cooked a little more for crispiness—which is a personal preference. My husband’s burger was good, a little more rare than desired, but surprised that the fries were $8 extra. My friend’s halibut and chips were very good. We will return. Parking?! OMG, is all I have to say.

    Have always enjoyed dining at Allen's. Yesterday was even more special as we had a lovely shady table on the rear patio. Service and food both excellent and quiet enough to talk. It has always been one of our favourites for this type of food.

    Dined on Friday May 30 to celebrate a friend's birthday and we both chose dishes new for us. Hers was flank steak salad and mine was smoked trout salad. Both were simply delicious but not so filling that we were able to share a slice of Guinness chocolate cake. Thanks to Charlie, our server, who made our lunch perfect.

    Always good One our favorite place for a before the show casual dinner. Yesterday I had a succulent wild boar chop with rosemary potatoes…Delicious.
