Set across the seventh floor of The Stratford – an extraordinary double-cantilevered tower of loft apartments, sky gardens, bars and a design hotel - Allegra is an east London restaurant blending modern European cuisine with authentic hospitality. The menu displays a strong seasonal influence based on twice-weekly produce from our organic farm just 40 minutes away.
Overlooking Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Allegra flows into the remarkable “Highline”, offering intimate dining space on the terrace amongst an elevated meadow of wild flowers, cedar pathways with a grill and fire pit.
Designed by Space Copenhagen, the duo behind the legendary NOMA, Allegra offers a high-end dining experience stripped of pretension and alive with intrigue.

So great to be able to eat out again. The menu may not be the usual Allegra fine dining until full reopening, but the burgers were delicious!
The sour mocktail was very original: lemon based with froth on top, it was a bit like drinking a lemon meringue pie.
The waitress recognised us from a previous visit, so all and all, it was a lovely experience to see the Allegra teamback together delivering a superb dining experience as usual.
Our waiter kept dripping our wine on the table when he was pouring (in an attempt to hold the bottle from the end) a lot of drips x 4 glasses every time is a lot of wine wasted.
Overall customer service was good, and waiters were friendly, bartender made an effort to tell us how he made the tequila, grapefruit & chilli cocktail, as it was a big hit at our table.
Food - £14 for a fish finger sandwich which came wrapped in tin foil (unsure if this was for covid reasons, it not a bit odd)- it was nice but nothing special, definitely not worth £14 for deep fried fish in a bun. Side of fried potatoes with red onion and multi grain mustard, again absolutely nothing special about them - £5
Pre-indoor dining reopening, went specifically for Happy Burger pop-up as I knew it would be quality! Great outdoors area that wasn't thrown together as a last resort, great heaters to keep you cosy as possible, staff are excellent - attentive but not pushy and they know the menu. Tried the fried chicken to start, great to share and tasty. Doubled up on my burger (go hungry!), great quality beef is used, cooked just right in my opinion (slightest hint of pink meat). Dessert was the off-menu choc tart, exactly what you hope for from a restaurant of this standard. Cant wait to go back in more regular circumstances.
Great service, nice food and nice outdoor seating with heating.
The food was so bad. The chicken was raw. Never going back
I had an amazing lunch at Happy Burger @ Allegra. The burger and fried potatoes were scrumptious and it was lovely lunching al fresco on the terrace. Can't wait to visit again and explore the full menu.
Except for the limited menu options we had a lovely evening.
We enjoyed our time there after a long lockdown, I wish good luck and plenty of customers for Allegra for the opening on 17th of May.
I definitely recommend for everyone, the food was very delicious.
Beautiful setting and great food! Will be epic in the summer
The heater and wool blankets helped to counteract the raw weather. Limited burger menu a little disappointing, but the venison nugget side dish was a welcome surprise.
Gets a bit cold in the terrace, take a jacket
The only food available was from the burger pop up, which was a bit suprising. I asked if I could add another patty, to which the waiter gave me a firm no, although I didn't understand why this was an option with the bacon burger but not the cheeseburger I ordered? The servers were not very attentive - we had to ask a few times if we could order more drinks/get the bill. Overall, I was disappointed by the food & the service, although the venue itself is great!
Everything here was just phenomenal! The service was attentive and caring and the food was delicious and good value for money. Im definitely coming back!
Very poor service, nothing of guest details, very expensive food for the quality, burguer overcook.
Lovely environment but poor food and drinks selection and average service.
Underwhelming experience - lovely venue, but food was average and service poor.
The place is nice, but we cannot use the indoor table right now. The menu is disappointing right now because you can only choose burgers and drinks. Not worthy of trying at present.
Happy burger was doing the food. Had many better burgers. Nowhere near as nice a spot as the terrace downstairs. Staff friendlier and more attentive on the terrace too. Wouldn’t go back
Terrace was set up beautifully but online photos make it seem nicer than it is. Only views of the Westfield from where you are sat. The garden area is nicer but completely empty. Burgers were average. Should service more options for the terrace.
Amazing burger, cocktails where great and our waiter was very knowledgeable of wines.
The oysters was delicious, as was the fish burger and potatoes.
Lovely outdoor terrace.
Will definitely be back to try out the main menu when the restaurant reopens in may.
We had a great afternoon thank you!
We had food from their pop up Happy Burger and it was good, my boyfriend enjoyed the burger. We also received a happy birthday cake which I didn’t expect and was sweet for my bf’s birthday!
Our favourite place to visit in the area when looking for more of a treat. First time eating in the Alegra as we usually eat in the terrace. It was such a shame that the menu was VERY limited. We ended up eating some oysters and shared a burger. Id also asked to pre order a bottle (I was celebrating my partners 30th) but no one contacted me. I also had to remind them on the night about bringing a candle/cake over (unfortunately this was stale too) It was a shame as the cocktails are beautiful and atmosphere was very great. It won’t stop me returning but I always seem to be slightly disappointed when leaving!
Really great food, lovely atmosphere and really attentive staff
I normally don’t leave reviews but I was quite disappointed with this visit so I thought I must. I have been to Allegra once before with a friend so decided to take my partner for date night. My previous experience was excellent so I was very disappointed with this visit today. The service was slow, perhaps short staffed which I can understand but the waiters were just quite cold, forgetful and inattentive. We ordered two of their signature cocktails which were pretty much just blocks of ice, and ordered an espresso martini after which fortunately was much nicer. The fried chicken, liver parfait and oysters were delicious but the ragu and porridge dish were nothing exceptional especially for the price tag. The options were also very limited for the bar menu this time compared to last but with covid I can understand that. Overall I am willing to come back purely for the ambience and my previous experience but I hope there can be some improvements made.
I have visited Allegra several times and it never disappoints! I just love it.
The food is amazing but it's the 2nd time I have been and the 2nd time that they are out of the cheapest wine (and cheapest being £38) so again we had to upgrade the wine.
Also, the set menu at £70 is really good value but a mininum of 2 people need to order it and my partner did not want to order the set menu as there were a few meaty dishes on it. It would be really customer friendly to make the set menu available individually.
But all and all the restaurant is a real treat for a special occasion.
Beautiful Restaurant & Lovely Staff will definitely go back
Fantastic service lovely food and wine will like to come back again soon
A truly wonderful experience. Excellent compliance with Covid rules. Welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Two of us shared delicious homemade bread as a starter. The shared whole cooked chicken was exquisite, served with a light chicken gravy. The flavour and texture of the chicken was outstanding - would definitely order again. We had it with green salad which was perfect. No problems with us taking a doggie bag of chicken with us as we decided to leave room for dessert. I had the English cheese which was superb and my colleague had the apple cinnamon doughnut - to say that this was probably one of the best desserts he'd ever eaten was an understatement!!!
A lovely environment. We went out onto the heated terrace for a post dinner drink. What a wonder haven in Stratford - we're so lucky to have such a high quality dining experience so close. Heartedly recommend a visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance the food and the location. Will definitely return in the New Year
2nd time visiting Allegra and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing food and wine. Excellent service.
We went for our 9 year anniversary. The restaurant is very considerate to provide us 2 appetite cocktails, and they were very delicious too.
The starts and snacks were nice. The confit wings were very tasty with crispy skin and tender meat and boneless! The scallop crudo was average. Pistachio choux was absolute stunning. We wish we had ordered more.
We had rib eye to share which was amazing. Perfectly matched with their smokey sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked (rare to medium). I liked the shallot tartin as well while my the other half thought it was too strong for him.
Mont blanc was very nice as well! Loved it!
We loved this restaurant and definitely go back in the future.
We celebrated our anniversary here the other week and had the most lovely time! The staff had the perfect balance of being friendly, attentive, informative yet discreet. The festive tasting menu was perfect and very good value. The wine recommended by the sommelier was also delicious. Perfect ambiance and we had a brilliant night! Will definitely return!
Lovely venue and the food was delicious and service attentive
We went to Allegra to celebrate our anniversary and could not have enjoyed it more.
We went for a lunch, the brunch menu isn’t massive, but there’s plenty of enjoy. The service was amazing (in part due to the lack of people in the restaurant at the time we went). Our waiter was very attentive.
The food is the real star of the show. Even the bread is excellent with an incredible green sauce that I must get the recipe for.
The scallops and mackerel starters were bursting with flavour and the roast chicken main was cooked so well.
The price for the meal with a bottle of wine was very reasonable for a restaurant of this quality. We will definitely come back!
Absolutely superb meal before Lockdown 2.0
Delicious meal and great service. It's a beautiful space as well, so it made for a romantic and elegant date.
Flawless food, great service and a beautiful dining room.
