   We had our 50th Anniversary so we were a party of 6 people. The food was excellent. The service was great. Good time was had by all.

   I have eaten at the Allegheny Grill several times over the years everything I have ever had there has always been wonderful but my son and I had dinner there this past Saint Patrick's Day and I had the corned beef and cabbage and I'm going to be completely honest it was not warm they had to take it back and heat it up the corned beef had a good flavor only I could not chew it it had not been cooked long enough and was not tender it was not good. And the price that I paid for it $21 no was not worth it it was cut into little tiny squares and it just wasn't any good. Although my son had the barbecued pork over french fries that was absolutely delicious.

   As always the service was impeccable, our waiter was stupendous and the food was extraordinary. It’s about halfway for me to meet my friends from Pittsburgh for lunch just about ever month or two. This is the perfect setting. We are always there about 3 hours and our waiter remembers us and keeps our iced tea glasses filled. Since the restaurant is not very busy at that time of the afternoon they encourage us to stay and enjoy ourselves and take time to catch up. Couldn’t be happier as to how we are treated. See you next month!!

   There was hair in the food (long piece) and they knew exactly who it was because his hair was not under his cap. Once received the new plate of food, it was phenomenal just not appreciative of the hair in it in the first place

   As always their food was wonderful. They were very busy and one waiter was managing all the tables but he was amazing. Very friendly and very competent. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was easy to joke with. Very attentive and managed the chaos quite well.

    The service was slow to receive our meal. All of our meals were overcooked. It took 2 hours to get in and out on a slow night. This is the 6th time we have been here with similar results. We keep hoping it will improve but it.has not over several years.

    I have had the same thing every time I come. It was awful. Tasted old. Poor quality and price was high. They forgot to cook someone’s food at my table. Just awful. Wasn’t told about a water condition and they couldn’t use tap water. This place is going downhill

    Food was ok..ribeye was overcooked and not seasoned well. Amount of time we waited on food and server to return was ridiculous! Over 20 minutes for salads to be brought out from the time we ordered.

    We had a reservation, but waited 40 minutes for our table. Upon checking the hostess was very terse. Waited in the lounge at the bar for 15 minutes and could not get anyone to even look at us to place a drink order. Service was slow, probably short staffed. Ordered dinner, about 30 minutes later, a server reported they were out of Mashed potatoes. So we said ok, baked potatoes if there is no delay. 15 minutes later…potatoes are not ready…10-15 minutes wait. I asked to have dinner served and they could bring the potatoes when they are done. I had short ribs…there was no sauce…just two ribs on a plate that were on the dry side without the sauce. Potatoes never came, the bread we ordered never came. It was so disappointing to celebrate a 60th birthday at this place. We were absolutely appalled to pay nearly $30 per entree. We never attempted dessert. No interest in returning to this place.

    Let me first say i get everyone is under staff but what we experienced was uncalled for. We had two tables of 4. We waited 45 minutes for our alcoholic beverages that didn't even taste like they had any in it. We waited an hour for our appetizer, soup, and salad. Well we never did get the claim chowder soup because they ran out. Our one table received their food then the table on the otherside of us received their food. Side note second table arrived over a half hour after we ordered. We finally got ahold of our waitress who only stopped at our table a couple of times in a hour and half time span. She finally checked on our food and said she pit a rush on our food. Needless to say 15 minutes still no food so we asked for a manager. All the manager did was praise the waitress because she saw they lost our check and put a rush on our food. Needless to say if we never complained God knows how long we would had waited. I get they were busy and under staff but when your other group had their food and everyone else around you has theirs I think you get upset. I wasn't asking for a free meal but they could had taken drinks off or something. They did not offer a thing. What they did do was charge us for the claim chowder we did not receive! After complaining about that they gave us a piec e of cake. We have visited this restaurant few other times and never had this kind of experience. Not sure if it was because they rushed our food or what but we all got sick when we got home.

    Our server, Autumn, was great. Quick with the food, attentive even though it was busy, and never let me have an empty beer glass. Food is very good and the place is clean. I've never had a bad experience there.

    I made reservations online & when we get there the hostess said we don’t have it. She said I should have called. Why have an online reservation system that doesn’t work or can’t be trusted?? There was an open table so we were able to eat. The waitress wasn’t very cheerful. People that were seated after us received their food before us & when the waitress asked if my wife’s filet could be ‘butterflied’ to get served quicker she said yes but it still took forever to get it. Very disappointed.

    This was the 2nd time In the last few months we have been disappointed. Our server was great he was attentive and friendly. Things started off good and, then we ordered and our food.the food took a very long long time (close to an hour or more) we had 7 people in our party. We passed the time by catching up but then looking at the clock it was almost 8:30 and we were just getting our food. By this time we were all hungry (especially my son) so expecting a good meal and after all the waiting our food came out not so great. 3 or maybe 4 of us got the bruschetta chicken. The breasts were on the smaller side over cooked, dried out (and cold as well) so were my mashed potatoes. I understand like most restaurants they are probably under-staffed. Felt bad for our poor server he can’t do it all. The food obviously sat in the window for a decent period of time to be as cold as it was. Also at the beginning we changed to bottles since all of our beers were flat and not so cold. Our server apologized and the manager took off our beers. No apology or acknowledgment from him.. he just kind of came over looking more annoyed then anything. I was a server for many (probably too many) years as well as 2 others we understand from all angles but something needs done. It’s a beautiful establishment that we would like to come back and enjoy just very disappointing visits the last 2 times. :(

    After reserving through Open Table for a special occasion like our 35th anniversary I guess I expected something more. No one ever recognized the occasion until dessert was served and I asked our waitress to take a picture. The food was overpriced for the taste and preparation, the waitress had to be reminded to bring our wine, and overall it was a disappointment.

    Ordered a 12oz ribeye medium rare. We waited well over an hour for food. My steak was maybe 4 oz well done. 50% of the steak was burnt to a crisp. The only good part of my meal was the French fries. The waitress was very kind. Aside from the waitress the experience was terrible and no where near worth almost $100 for a dinner for two. Save your money and go elsewhere.

    I can accept the fact everyone is entitled to an off night. This was beyond an off night. We are frequent patrons of Allegheny Grill and have always enjoyed ourselves. Last night we were entertaining first time visitors and to say we were embarrassed would be an understatement. It took over an hour for our main course to be delivered after our salad was delivered. When the main course was delivered, three of the four meals came without the sides. It was another 15 to 20 minutes for the sides to be delivered to the table. A dry age ribeye steak was one of the entree's ordered. It was ordered rare and delivered as well done. The other 3 entrees were the salmon and everyone commented that it was overcooked. the steak was sent back and when a new one was delivered it again was overcooked (closer to medium well). Our waitress said the manager would be over to talk to us. He never came to our table. Talked to the tables near us but not us.

    Excellent view of the river. The food was good and our server was wonderful. The maitre d didn't have our reservation from Open Table recorded in his book, even though I made it several days in advance. We were still able to be seated. We would have preferred outside, but only high top tables were available on the outdoor deck. We choose a table by the large, plate-glass windows with the river view and were probably better off for it because it was a muggy day. We just had burgers. The burgers were good, but the homemade chips and the french fries were great! The inn had a nice beer selection. Very low-key, casual, comfortable place to dine.

    Saturday afternoons prior to 5pm is a wonderful time to be there. The food is prepaired in the kitchen by a long time employee who takes great pride in her preparations. Nothing is warmed from a box.

    Chicken Marsala was very good, only wish it came with mushrooms. Filet was cooked perfect but had no flavor, needs seasoned. We sat on the patio which was very nice, but I would suggest different, more comfortable chairs.

    It’s a lovely place for meeting old friends. Unfortunately we were seated close to some little children who apparently thought they were on a playground, and therefore screaming at one another was ok! We all started out with a Caesar Salad, and for the life of me, I never understood why the dressing could not be mixed in using a large bowl in the kitchen! Instead each of us received our salads in a small dish along with a separate small container with the Caesar Dressing. Well, by the time you are done mixing the dressing, half the salad ends up on the table instead of the dish it was served in. Our entrees, as they arrived at our table, were not hot. Too bad, but maybe that’s what you get when you are the only game in town. One more thing. The coordinates for the restaurant will guide into some woods on s dangerous unpaved road full of rocks and boulders! So good luck finding the place!

    Awesome environment, server was great, food was mediocre and way overpriced, this is not fine dining but has some fine dining prices. Do yourself a favor and just get a burger and some drinks, you will be disappointed with pricier options like steak or salmon, manager was apologetic and offered free desert but still paid a fortune for average food

    Food was good. Waited a bit but we had beautiful patio seating so we didn’t mind at all. We met people around us and engaged in conversation. This is the second time we have been here and we will return. Waitress was nice and kept us posted on our meals and made sure we were taken care of!!!

    I will start this review by saying that Abby was phenomenal! She was a young waitress but seemed to know the menus well. I requested an outdoor seat when I made my reservation and followed up with a phone call the same morning, at which time I was told outdoor seating was first come, first served. We arrived at 7:15 (7:30 reservation) for them to want to stick us inside. I requested outside and was told there were no seats available (5 open tables - again, first come first serve, right?). So we get seated outside when another friendly hostess happened to walk by and sat there were tables available. Abby arrived promptly to take our drink and appetizer order. Both the drinks and appetizers arrived in an orderly fashion. At about 8:30 pm she came over to tell us our food would be out in a few minutes. Next thing we know, the food was coming out (exactly what we ordered) and given to someone else (to only hear them say they hadn’t received their appetizer yet, and that wasn’t their order). When our meal finally arrived, it was made in a hurry. Asked for my burger plain and well done. It wasn’t bloody but extremely pink and hard to explain the texture - just looked like raw burger. It came with all the toppings as well. Pretty sure it was microwaved when I sent it back and brought back out to me, we are frequents to this restaurant and would try it again, but very disappointed after a $120 bill for two of us and the food we received. Not only the people beside us got the wrong food, the people on the other side looked like their steaks were microwaved and not grilled (no sear marks at all), so we clearly weren’t the only ones with an issue. Abby, keep your head up girl, you did a fantastic job! I think it would be very difficult for those waitresses to come back to work day after day to be complained to as much as we witnessed while we were there.
