    The food was pretty good but our table kind of ruined the experience. My reservation was for outdoor seating but they gave us an indoor table. The table was butted up against the server station so every two seconds there was a person in my peripheral vision hovering over the table. It was distracting and not how I wanted to enjoy a $200 dinner.

    Fantastic meal. Meatballs, Tuna, Arancini and bread for apps. Gnocchi, Pappardelle, Chicken Parm and pizzas for main. Everything was fantastic. Reasonably priced wine list w value.

    It was my first time in Chicago and I was eager to try an Italian restaurant. I was doing some research and Alla Vita popped out as a recommendation. I was glad that I could find a table available even a little later than I was expecting. I ordered a rigatoni a la vodka and a Diet Coke. The rigatoni arrived earlier than my Coke. I was guessing how my dish arrived super fast like that. The pasta was a little harder than the traditional Italian “al dente”. The sauce was ok, not super good. After some time, my Diet Coke arrived. I didn’t eat the hole dish, specially because the taste was just ok, nothing espetacular. I also ordered the tiramisu as desert . Since I know how to prepare a good tiramisu, I didn’t think the one that I had was really good . It was huge! But I would prefer a smaller one but with a better taste. So, at the end, I was definitely not impressed by the dinner that I had there…

    The staff was very friendly and on top of the table in making sure everything was taken care of. We did have a reservation and fully expected to be seated in the main seating area, but we’re seated next to the hostess stand. This was a major disappointment given we were there for a special occasion and was hoping to experience the atmosphere of the restaurant. All that to say, the food no service was still very good and overall a good experience.

    Alla Vita is my "go to" for lunch near the office. It's quiet, the portions are sizeable and taste amazing--e.g.: The kale caesar salad could be a meal just by itself for two people. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Dinner here is pretty good too!

    Celebrated my birthday here yesterday. Rigatoni is soooo delicious especially if you had italian sausage. The gelato is superb as well. Our server Joel I think was his name, was amazing. One of the bartenders was hesitant to help my friend I out with another like after his fell. At $24/per shot, I think an extra small piece of lime shouldn’t be an issue, so that was weird. But overall, great experience.

    Meatball appetizer under cooked. My chicken Parmigiano had no pasta with it. Usually it comes with spaghetti. $34 just for a piece of chicken. The chicken was good but it's not when just eaten by itself. No free bread while waiting. Tiramisu was slightly still frozen at bottom, not fresh. I was disappointed and expected the usual when going to Italian restaurants but this one does it not do it like others. Overpriced for not much

    Haneen was our server and she was phenomenal. She was so joyful, attentive and made out anniversary celebration so special. The food was spectacular. We started off the meatballs to start which were good, then the table bread came and I have never have anything like it! It was so mouthwatering! But then! The dumplings came and everything else just simply could not compare! I had no words for how delicious they were! We cannot wait to go back(and definitely get those dumplings again). Highly recommend Alla Vita who is looking for amazing Italian good!

    This restaurant never disappoints. It’s incredible every time. Ambience is amazing. It’s really the only restaurant I repeatedly go to in Chicago. I bring guests there too. Also price point is excellent so no barriers for a younger crowd.

    Wife and I went here to celebrate our anniversary. Food was very good but not much different than what you would find at any other high-end Italian restaurant in Chicago. The restaurant was busy so service was on the slow side, but they were kind enough to give us a glass of moscato with dessert to celebrate our anniversary. All in all a good spot. Get the rigatoni vodka.

    12/10 experience as always. Friday night dinner and the guests are all dressed to the nines. Any pasta you order will be delicious. The rigatoni and bolognese pastas were amazing. The pizza crusts has the perfect crunch. And I appreciate that they box the food for you at the end your meal. A great touch.

    Great food, great service, overall excellent time! Rigatoni vodka pasta and the tagliatelle are a must! But it was the Sopressata pizza that stole the show. Highly recommend!

    Excellent servers, food was good but meatballs could’ve been seasoned a bit better. The eggplant said it was available on lunch menu but server informed me it wasn’t available during lunch, so the discrepancy was a bummer
