All Set Restaurant & Bar
Always enjoy their food. Great alternative to to the steak, chicken and burgers that are very ubiquitous to restaurants in downtown Silver Spring
Adjacent group with loud children was a bit disruptive, but I was probably 4 or 5 myself once! Great service and delicious food.
Great as always. A little noisy on Tuesday night because of weekly trivia contest
Super happy hour drinks and food. Trout on the menu. Friendly staff. Parking ramp across the street. Highly recommend.
It was our first time at the restaurant. We went during restaurant week. The food was amazing. Amy our waitress was super sweet. Definitely looking forward to going back.
The value simply isn't there for this new restaurant. A 6-inch lobster roll is $28. A small plate of fried clams is $17. They pool their waitstaff, so if you ask for something up front, the message may not (as in our case) get shared.
We return regularly. Excellent food -works for small plates and drinks, or full meals.
Menu is both creative and comfortable.
Although I had been there for brunch which was excellent, this was my first attempt for dinner. I was immediately impressed with our sincerely friendly (no phony high-pitched voice) server and the pita fries were so tasty! The Brick Chicken was perfectly cooked along with the sides which were very well seasoned. Unlike some restaurants in downtown SS, we were allowed to sit at a booth without having more than two of us. The staff was patient with us as we took our time ordering, talking, and eating before leaving just before closing. We cleaned our plates! Nice to know there is another great option for any occasion in downtown SS. Wonderful experience catching up with a good friend.
Was in town visiting friends and I ended up here twice. Once, I had dinner on my own and after telling my friends about my dinner, they insisted we go back for lunch. We both loved the briny oysters (We asked for the most briny ones) and the food was delicious. I had the ribs and the chicken -- my friend had the burger. Big serving sides. And the cocktails were delish!
I was dismayed that quite by accident I brought visiting family to All Set on a Tuesday evening, which is Trivia night. It was so loud we could not converse, but staff did turn down the speakers. Additionally, there's been a change in the recipe preparation such that it was not as expected from previous visits.
We hadn’t been in about a year. Food was very good, service outstanding. I had a vodka/ tonic that was displayed on the bill as $10. Vodka and .50 cents for tonic. Huh?? I’d rather see it as $10.50 for the drink. Since when do restaurants break down the ingredients of the drink and charge for it separately? There wasn’t a charge for the lime(!)
We love All Set and have had only positive experiences there. The food and the service are both excellent. The ambiance could be improved, though--I think the televisions detract from what could be a nicer dining environment.
Great service and well balanced menu. Tasty food.
Beautiful place, awesome service and good food at a reasonable price. Nice place to meet friends for brunch or take the parents who are in from out of town.
All Set is my go-to DTSS restaurant for lunch or dinner when I'm dining with folks who I'm not sure would dig Crisfield's 30s ambiance and old style seafood menu. All Set has the best whole belly fried clams south of Rhode Island; the crab cakes are first rate; flounder stuffed with crab excellent. Their signature Lobster Roll is the real thing (get it hot with drawn butter rather than as a cold lobster salad). They have a good cocktail list (the Howthehllaya is their great take on a Manhattan).
Downsides: loud and not inexpensive. Avoid Tuesday night unless you want to play/listen to a trivia competition.
We chose All Set because we could redeem an open table gift card there, and the reviews and food looked good. We were very happy with our meal! Great service, great food, and a great overall experience. We were seated a little too close to the table next to us for my preferences, but that's a small complaint. The food was also very delicious. We loved everything we got. I did think it was slightly overpriced, but not enough to dissuade us from going back!
Good overall experience.
Must be Silver Spring's best kept secret! Loved the happy hour on Sunday with $1 oysters! Service was great, everyone is friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back again!
I just love this place. We've been here a few times and again the service was warm and wonderful. Get there before 6:30pm on a Saturday for phenomenal happy hour deals- a delicious $5 Gin Rickey cocktail and $1 oysters! Toy box offered to the kids, who love their mac and cheese.
All Set is a diamond in the sky but tucked away off a busy street! The food is just out of this world!!! The staff is (over staffed) and you never wait for anything! Everyone is helping everyone- it’s a good feeling for a customer to know that you can ask anyone for anything! Hands down, one of the finest places in Silver Spring!
Wonderful food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. This is my new go-to place in Silver Spring. The specialty drink list is a refreshing change! I will be a regular.
The chick pea fries are a real treat. The branzino was done perfectly. The oysters were very clean and fresh.
Nice happy hour offerings
Outdoor space is much calmer than most other restaurants in downtown Silver Spring because it isn't right on a busy street. The food was very good. The service could have been better for this price point of restaurant, but it was decent.
Food,drinks and service excellent.
All Set is a comfortable seafood place we return to again and again. It is especially a great value on Sunday's when happy hour runs all day and oysters are only $1.00! The host and waitstaff are always happy to great guests. Service is friendly but not intrusive. I am not an avid reviewer here, but motivated tonight to speak up because we mistakenly forgot an item at the table. Other restaurants might have ignored the mistake or, worse, pocketed the item. However, All Set found my digits through OpenTable and called me immediately. Thank you All Set. See you again soon.
In town for the Pretenders concert and wanted seafood. All Set did not disappiont. Fantastic oysters, lobster rolls and the chic pea fries were delicious.
We don’t live in Silver Spring and chose All Set because it was between us and a friend we met and because the reviews were good. The food was delicious! The restaurant is very attractive and has nice outdoor space and the service was good and very welcoming. We would definitely return to All set to eat again!
Jake our waiter was amazing, friendly, and attentive. We asked for a lot of things and not all at once but never did he get annoyed, he was right on top of it! He was awesome and I would definitely be back just because of how great he was! The food was really yummy! Everything was delicious. Not one thing was bad! Their calamari was really good, the fish and chips were good, the mini burgers, the fish tacos, the shrimp and polenta were all great!
Dinner was great. But we were glad to be able to sit outside -- too noisy inside!
Everything was spectacular as always. The wait staff is always attentive and kind. The food was fabulous.
Great lunch and happy hour is supreme. Features trout on every day menu as well as a lunch special. Friendly attentive staff. Reasonable priced menu. Outside seating.
Food was very tasty! Would definitely return to try other dishes. Free parking in garage after 5pm too!
We had brunch on Fathers Day at the restaurant. The food was good. The chick pea fries are a little salty but otherwise very tasty. Fried green tomatoes were okay, but the accompanying mixed green salad and citrus dressing was refreshing and delicious. The other 3 members of my family ordered the chicken and siracha biscuits. The biscuits while spicy were a tad dry but otherwise they enjoyed the meal. It was busy but the atmosphere was inviting. The server was very nice, however the service left something to be desired. One of our appetizers was mistakenly given to a customer at the bar. It took 15+ minutes for a cup of soup to come out. served. Perhaps Father’s Day accounted for some of that. I’d be willing visit them another try.
Even though they no longer serve the Shrimp and Polenta, the Fried Green Tomatoes with salad were just as tasty! One might think $16, is pricy for Fried Green Tomatoes, but the crab fondue made it a rich tasting dish. The salad was very flavorful and contained jalapeños, beets, and mandarin oranges among other ingredients. The salad was lightly tossed in a vinaigrette which made it phenomenal! (I would definitely order this again!)
My mom ordered the breakfast burger which she declared was “magnificent” because it was perfectly cooked and had lots of flavor! I had a bite and agreed how awesome it was!
The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back soon!
The first time I went to All Set, I really enjoyed it. The food was good. I decided to take my husband for Father's Day brunch. We were seated right away and the table already had a high chair set up for our daughter. The server was extremely attentive but the food was mediocre. The coffee was bitter and watered down. The food took a very long time to arrive. When it came, my husband's french toast was soggy in the middle, he said his eggs tasted artificial, and my crab benedict was warm (not hot). Our daughter enjoyed her pancakes and my husband said that the bacon was good. I ended up paying $75 for a meal that neither of us really enjoyed. I doubt that I will ever be back. I had high hopes since the restaurant is close to our home.
I went to All Set with my wife for an early dinner. We sat outside on the patio, which was surprisingly not too hot given the 85 deg temp since it was shaded. The ambiance inside and out are really nice and the food was excellent.
we were slightly late - maybe 5 mins - (3 kids under the age of 12 in tow) but it seemed like our table had been given away. Quick accommodations were made however and I give the staff props to that. The food was good, maybe slightly over-priced. The service however was less than stellar. The restaurant went from very busy (so a delay in ordering, food service was acceptable) to not busy at all. One patron did not get a draught beer because the tap was broken and we had to ask for that twice well into our seating. Overall, a nearly 3-hour meal was not what I had expected.
It took a pretty long time to meet our waiter, get drinks, etc
Ok good but wouldn't go out of my way considering the price and slow service.
Large space with nice selections and excellent service. Good happy hour menu. Food was done very well with nice presentation and good size portions.
