All Set Restaurant & Bar
The specialty cocktail drinks are delicious and fresh. All of the food is delicious, I've gone there a handful of times and have yet to have a bad experience.
We went here for a Mother's Day dinner and the ambience and service are great. The food is good but the portions are tiny and expensive. We would have left hungry except we ordered dessert -- something we normally do not do. The ricotta doughnuts are amazing.
It is always a great time—It has become my favorite neighborhood haunt!!
I love this place. food is fresh and terrific. Service too. Ambience nice. It can get noisy if it is full, but still worth it. AND if it is nice day and you can sit outside, then it is quiet!
Went on a Wednesday night with my almost-4-year-old daughter (whose tastes are a little more sophisticated than the average toddler). They have a kids' menu but that's not really her speed. They brought a little tin of small toys to the table for her entrainment while I perused the menu. We ordered the Old Bay wings appetizer and the shrimp with polenta main course. Both were excellent but the best was definitely the shrimp course with its perfectly prepared polenta and andouille sausage (my daughter found the sausage a little too spicy for her but I thought it was superb). The sauce was the real star of the show. At the end the server even offered to bring me a spoon to get the last of it, an offer which I gladly accepted. All in all, a great experience. I will definitely eat there again. I heartily recommend it equally for a casual weeknight occasion (prices are a little steep for an everyday type of meal) or a more special occasion like a date night. Excellent food, excellent service. Go.
Love this place. Great food and ambiance. Every one at my table always enjoys their food.
Exceptional food and they were very accomodating to try to find a table that was a little quieter as there was a large noisy party going on. We will definately be back !
My only wish for this place is that the servers did not rush you through your meal. Our host lurked a LOT--and we were celebrating my dad's birthday (a BIG deal)--our family intended to have a nice leisurely meal and linger a bit. Our host came to us multiple times throughout the meal pushing us along with our order. She asked for our entree orders only minutes after we arrived and received our first round of libations. They also cleared unfinished drinks from the table--which we took as a sign to "hurry up". We got the check literally moments after we ordered coffee and advised that we needed more time with the dessert menu! Subsequently, it was a very quick gathering. When the check came, our host literally stood over my shoulder as I looked through my wallet for my credit card--I had to ask her to give me more time (which was something I found myself asking throughout the meal). I don't know if they just needed the table, but I really felt the pace of our meal was too fast--which sucks because we rarely are able to get together as a family like that. Now the GOOD--they immediately give kids a box (yes, a full BOX) of treasures to play with at the table when they walk in. My 4 year old thoroughly enjoyed that--and we appreciated it as well. (With a welcome like that, you'd actually expect the pace to be a little slower with service since it clearly frees the adults up to converse more among the group.) Anyway, I thought it a very nice touch. Also the food was delicious--the sriracha biscuits were divine, and so were the chickpea fries. The vegan at the table enjoyed his veggie burger (although he said it was slightly under-seasoned). And my dad got his birthday wish--some delicious seafood. Clam chowder, crabcakes, trout with crab, fish and chips--all really yummy. The drinks were also good--like oldfashioned good. I would definitely come back for the food--just hope the waitstaff slows down some.
great menu. very good food and service. parking convenient. great location.
Food was good except for two orders - avocado toast and waffles. The waffles are basically frozen reheated waffles and very disappointing.
Great lunch menu selections.
Great price .
My son and I wanted seafood for Easter brunch so we decided to try AllSet. While they only had steamed shrimp and half shell oysters for seafood dishes the other brunch/breakfast items and desserts were delicious. We also appreciated how clean and natural the food tasted. The restaurant is spacious and a little noisy but festive for the holiday. The only downside was the $45/person brunch cost and very expensive cocktails. There was no way we could eat $45 worth of bacon, eggs, salads and pancakes. We only ate a small amount of the seafood and skipped the drinks until we got home. All in all AllSet is good and I would recommend it, just be ready to $$$!
All Set was definitely a nice restaurant. My mother and I went for Easter brunch. They did not offer an a la carte menu on this day probably due to it being a holiday. This was fine, but I just wish there were more options. The buffet was ok, but for the money it could have been better. Otherwise, we definitely enjoyed the ambiance and will try to come back.
$45 brunch buffet is overpriced for the area, especially considering alcoholic drinks aren’t included. Still, I love All Set - just won’t be doing the brunch buffet in the future.
We went to their Easter Brunch, and it definitely was not worth $45/person. There was a small selection of not particularly good food, and the price didn't include even one drink, not even coffee or tea . We've had dinner here before and enjoyed it, but this was a very poor experience.
If you want a bar experience with good food it's fine; but I'd never go there again as a restaurant. I'm not one for screaming across the table.
Delightful dinner in Silver Spring, MD. All Set is a lovely spot for lunch or dinner. Service is outstanding. At our most recent visit, Jennifer and Abba (sic) were cordial, attentive and professional. All food was of very high quality, perfectly prepared of fine ingredients and delicious. Ordered an exceptional bottle of wine @ half price as part of Wednesday special. Can't complain! Will return the next time we are in town.
Zucchini fries are a must get
This was our first time to All Set. We were pleased that they offer both breakfast and lunch options on Sundays. We all opted for the breakfast choices and were all very pleased with the quality of the food.
The restaurant is really nice. The service was excellent and the food was good. We went for brunch and everything was as expected. The only issue we had was the menu online is a little different from the offerings in the restaurants but everything was great. I would definitely go back again.
We dined here on a nice April evening and sat outside, which was very pleasant. However, the food itself was really disappointing. The raw oysters on the half shell were indistinct mush and must have been frozen. They should not have been served, in any event. White wine was served a room temperature. The tuna nicoise was also not fresh, probably frozen, but the salad and dressing itself was okay. My wife said her fish dish was okay.
The waiter was very friendly and nice, but he was oversubscribed and had to cover the whole patio area, so we rarely saw him.
Service was excellent. Lunch menu is reasonably priced and well portioned. It was a very good setting for a business lunch. Would return and definitely recommend to others.
Made a reservation and requested a table away from the noise. We were seated next to a party of six that were celebrating a birthday with a great deal of alcohol. They were very loud. Even the younger diners in our party couldn't hear over this behavior.
Food good and service was average. More attention to the drinking table.
Did not have the best time here. Food was expensive and wasn't that good for the money. A table beside us was obnoxious and extremely loud we couldn't even hear each other. Service was extremely slow.
It was convenient to the Civic Center and we could find tables. We ended up outside and it was a bit noisier than usual and still chilly... so the ratings might have been better on a better weather day :) The waiter was very accommodating and traded out selections that weren't as exciting as hoped for.
We wanted a pitcher of Mimosa... and were willing to pay and share, but the restaurant was a bit tight on their option which was a bottomless for $20 with NO sharing... or $10 per person. We just wanted a little for sipping.. and this was NOT a good option for a table of 9 Ladies who didn't want to get smashed on a lovely Sunday afternoon.
I love the overall vibe of this restaurant. I’ve been twice; once for happy hour and once for brunch. The food is good and reasonably priced. I like the light airiness of the main dining room, spacious bar, and decent patio. Plenty of parking options as well which my friends with cars loved! Will definitely be back to this place.
We had an amazing time, the food was excellent, and our waitress was so knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be coming back very soon.
Overall, very nice. Service was prompt. Value is average.
Great place for a meeting and for gathering. I think my food choice was not the best, but I think next time it will be better.
Great & creative food along with friendly and efficient wait staff makes for a wonderful evening with friends!
The lobster roll never disappoints at All Set. My sons both had the short ribs, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Food was good. Waitress couldn’t really answer questions
Have been to All Set several times for lunch in recent months. Always good value, especially the $12 lunch special menu! Looking forward to trying brunch and dinner, too.
All Set was excellent for a business lunch! Good table for discussion, moderate noise level and excellent food at a reasonable price. The service was also outstanding and unobtrusive. Despite being very busy, there was no pressure to leave the table.
Great food.. consistently!!
Nice birthday for my teenager who likes good food. Ahi tuna salad and short ribs were terrific. Bread pudding for dessert is amazing.
I was seated immediately. They took good care of the three of us. We had excellent food and we’re offer discounts for happy hour. I will definitely be going back.
Two for lunch. First time at All Set. Nice modern decor. Food is very good. Service friendly and really good. Lunch specials are a great value and accompanied at the end with a yummy warm chocolate chip cookie. All Set is an all around winner!
Food was pretty good (all I had was the tuna tartare) but service was slow and they were not great about refilling my water.
Excellent lunch choices! A great variety of poultry, fish and vegetarian specials!
