Savor the season with a seafood celebration at Kramers! Treat yourself to our rich and creamy Lobster Mac & Cheese, or enjoy a buttery Lobster Roll with herb mayo and crisp bibb lettuce on a toasted roll. For something a little different, try our Maryland Crab Pizza, made with lump crab meat, Old Bay, and fresh herbs. Finish it all off with a slice of Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake, layered with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chopped pistachios. It’s the perfect way to enjoy warm days, cozy nights, and everything in between!

My experience here was absolutely wonderful! My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves from the moment we walked in. It was vibrant, upbeat just beautiful. The food was so good. I’m not even over exaggerating, but the food was absolutely the best. Our waiter Alley was so nice. He was so patient. He was so kind and he just waited on us and make sure that we were OK and that we were comfortable. I have not one bad thing to say about this place. Not to mention we were able to buy a book for my youngest daughter because she wasn’t with us. But I will absolutely be back here again and I keep using the word absolutely because this place was absolutely phenomenal.

Brought guests visiting DC for pride and they loved it! The food was good and not too pricey, service was great, and the overall vibes were perfect for the beginning of pride weekend. They really appreciated the restaurant's loud and clear support for pride and felt welcomed to DC.

Nice atmosphere, but the food didn’t impress Kramers is a unique spot that combines a bookstore with a café-restaurant, offering classic American food in a cozy, welcoming setting. The interior is spacious, and there’s even a patio for outdoor seating — a definite plus. We ordered two burgers: the All Day Burger and the Lamb Burger, both served with fries (a nice touch). Unfortunately, the burgers were quite dry — definitely needed to be dipped in sauce just to make them enjoyable. The flavors just didn’t come through. Service was okay, nothing more — no energy or real attentiveness from the staff. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re just looking to grab a quick bite, maybe while browsing some books. But I wouldn’t recommend it for anything special or memorable. A solid 3 out of 5.

Food is pretty good. We go here often and like it. The menu changes in positive ways. It can get noisy and was this evening, but we enjoyed ourselves.

We had a lovely unrushed evening on the patio. The food was delicious and the service was warm, friendly, and efficient. The crimson quill is pretty much the perfect drink for a warm spring night. But be forewarned, when they say the carrot cake is big, they actually mean it may be enough to serve a family of four! 😀

I lived in DC in 80's and used to enjoy visits to the coffee shop at Kramer Books and Afterworks.I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it still in operation a few blocks from my hotel. The menu looked expansive enough for picky friends and had good reviews. We sat outside on a pleasant nite. The back dining area is nothing special. There were some other rooms but they didnt seem really for meals. We enjoyed the food. The waiter was correct to hedge when he was asked if something was spicy. He told the ingredients but said that spicy is individual. He did give some guideline. We started with Brussels spouts appetizer. A couple of cheesesteaks, salmon and duck pizza. We were all satisfied with our meal. If looking for a casual place with good reasonably priced food near Dupont Circle, I'd recommend Kramers

My go to neighborhood restaurant. Several items on menus are satisfying and reliable. Salads and sandwiches are my favorites. Service is prompt and setting is friendly if bit uncomfortable (small tables and tight spacing). Still, I recommend it.
