Alizé at the Top of the Palms Casino Resort Ratings and Reviews
I made a small suggestion to the waiter and he instantly made me feel like he knew significantly more than I do. He began telling me how many years the chef has done this for, meanwhile it wasn’t even the chef that prepared our meal.
He doesn’t know anything about me and unfortunately it ruined our anniversary dinner.
Thanks for the meal and for pushing me to try every other restaurant in Vegas before I ever go back.
As usual the food at Alize was spectacular. We had the lobster thermidor and Dover sole. They were both well prepared and large in quantity. The waiter advised us to order a soufflé in advance to avoid the 25 minute wait after dinner. One soufflé was ordered in the group of 3. Our dinner plates were removed and the soufflé was plunked down on the table immediately. We waited 15 minutes and finally waved down the busboy and informed him that the other diners needed a dessert menu. By that time the soufflé was no longer warm. No after dinner drinks were offered. In defense of the restaurant they did remove one dessert from the bill because the waiter “understood” there was a problem with dessert. Unfortunately this was our second bad experience with service at this restaurant. We will not return no matter how good the food is.
This place is was fantastic. They where aware it was our anniversary and made it exceptionally special was a gift. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs. We enjoyed the tasting menu plus wine tasting. Every thing was passed out with enough time to appreciate the meal and conversation. Thank you very much
What a view! Delicious French cuisine! Wonderful service! I went to Alize to celebrate my birthday. I requested a table near the windows and I was so impressed with the view of the entire Strip and surrounding areas of Las Vegas - just stunning. I ordered a speciality cocktail of the restaurant and it was sublime. The menu we chose was a tasting menu and every bite was amazingly delicious. Alize acknowledged by birthday by presenting me with a key at the beginning of the meal to be used at the end of the evening. I was then presented with a treasure box and discovered a beautiful and delicious chocolate dessert. It is my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas on every level - view, food, service, and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back when I'm in Las Vegas again. Thank you for making my birthday evening so special.
We recently celebrated my husband's birthday with the tasting menu at Alizé. The food, wine, service, view and ambience were wonderful! Fortunately for us, they had a special offereing of pasta with white truffles the night that we were there. It was phenomenal! They finished the evening with a birthday surprise for my husband (spoiler alert!!! It was delicious!). We will definitely be spreading the word!
We both had the tasting menu. Overall the food was not good. We each had a single course that was very good but other than that we were extremely disappointed. There was so much truffle oil on two of the courses that you couldn't even taste the food. The lamb dish was cooked well but completely unseasoned. The black plum clafoutis was made with an overwhelming amount of almond extract that made my eyes water. The only redeeming quality was that the service was great. I definitely expected a much higher quality of food for the price and reviews read online.
How do you describe food that is pricey but unimpressive. A restaurant that you've really enjoyed in the past but now you don't think you'd go to again. I was excited to return to Alize for the tasting menu but with the new chef sending in rather disappointing dishes I don't think I'll try it again. I rather not take chance again with a rather underwhelming and sometimes bad tasting food that I encountered at this visit with Alize. The tasting menu items presented this time were either overdone with ingredients making the central item in the dish appear hidden or outright lost (e.g. seared Foies Gras). Or, something was just way off in flavor for the dish (e.g. Lamb which was way too gamey). I found the chef's flavor palate for fall tasting to be crammed with too much flat earthy (e.g. beans, squash) components without off-setting some other flavor (e.g. sweet or salty). Except for the great service and the outstanding views there's nothing here to bring me back again.
We are frequent visitors to Las Vegas and like to enjoy one or two special meals. This is our second experience at Alize and we enjoyed it as much as the first. The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly and the food is superb and the view from the top of the Palms is spectacular!
Make no mistake, this is serious dining at its best. This is by far one of the best dining experiences in Vegas. Extreme attention to detail, presentation is unmatched. Each and every one of the dishes are meticulously crafted. The flavors leave one wanting for more. If you are serious about food, Alize is a must.
Location is great with a phenomenal view of the LV strip.
Food presentation is very nice but the composition of the various courses was not balanced and the lamb was overlooked. No idea how the restaurant got a Michelin star.
Portions are on the smaller side and the wine pairings were the smallest ever seen in any restaurant. Quality of the wine pairings was mixed - anything between average and good. Nothing outstanding.
Outstanding! Attractive and delicious food, superb and pleasant service, pleasant surroundings, and great views of Las Vegas from the 56th floor. One of our favorites — we've celebrated our anniversary there more than once and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The food definitely has French influences but is not "so French" as to be unfamiliar or intimidating for anyone not already comfortable with that cuisine. Everything we've tried has been very tasty. And the service continues to be as good or better than any we've experienced in other restaurants. Given the quality and location, it's no surprise the check isn't small — but it's well worth it, particularly for special occasions. Always at the top of our list when visiting Las Vegas!
My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary at Alize recently, and I have to say that it was one of the most memorable dining experiences that I have ever had! The attention to detail, excellent service, and stunning views made for an unforgettable evening-oh yes, and did I mention that the food is absolutely spectacular!? The best and most beautifully presented menu that I have seen in years, a truly exceptional evening.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Vegas. Yes...it is pricey. But it is an experience and for us, worth every penny. The views atop the Palms are magnificent. The service is just always the best I have ever had. The food is to die for. Fabulous wine. If you are celebrating something special, or want to impress someone....or just feel you deserve to spoil yourself. Do not miss this restaurant. It's special right from when you are escorted to a private elevator to the top.
We had purchased show tickets for 9:00 after being told the tasting would take 2 hours, it took THREE hours, we missed our show which cost us $250. The Voucher was misleading... waiter failed to inform us that wine pairings were not included so what should have been a $200 meal became a SIX Hundred Dollar meal after the wine and the full gratuity and Tax. Considering we missed our show as well it was an $850 meal. Given the portions and the slow service, certainly not worth it despite what was said to the unapologetic manager.
I'll start with the obvious.....the VIEW. Wow!! Great view of almost the entire Las Vegas Strip (at least the back of it) Food was really good. We had the chef's tasting menu. It was 7 courses I think. They kept bringing out these plates of food with very small portions. But that's OK. You'll
get filled up when done eating. Wasn't anything that didn't taste good. I'll go back again for sure.
Started with Marky's golden Osetra caviar—this caviar has a uniquely clean, sweet, crisp and "nutty" flavor that gently fills your palate after every single grain lightly pops in your mouth. Served atop panna cotta-- sweetened cream thickened with gelatin and molded with a hint of dill spice complemented with small port gelatins. Next was Scottish smoked salmon with avocado, capers, dill aioli and a hard-boiled quail egg. Very artfully—avocado puree lines on plate, then salmon bites on top, with fried capers and dots of dill aioli. Next was seared foie gras, accompanied with white chocolate an orange pain perdu, with braised rhubarb and strawberry puree and pistachios. The foie gras was done to perfection, the orange pain perdu—a French toast from lost bread—was perfect with this course. And the rhubarb and strawberry puree added to the sweetness of this dish. Moved to the fish course, I had a seared jumbo scallop with tarragon cream, pomme (apple) puree and roasted chanterelles. Wonderful presentation, the scallop was cooked to perfection with the accompanied puree and chanterelles (mushrooms) added depth and flavor to this course. Penny had sautéed salmon, with charred broccoli and a delicious Kalamata olive gastrique--a reduction of vinegar and sugar infused with maple--brought out the flavors and saltiness of the salmon. Both dishes were fantastic. Moved on to the roasted squab (young Pigeon) breast with a pistachio crust, parsnip puree and cherry compote. This was marvelous, the squab was tender, juicy and very flavorful. The accompanied parsnip puree and cherry compote added to the richness of this dish. The main course was braised shoulder lamb, Harissa Moroccan couscous, peperonata, and lamb jus. This had the braised lamb wrapped in phyllo dough accompanied with the Harissa (spicy chili pepper) couscous and peperonata--colorful blend of bell peppers. Had a terrific Grand Marnier soufflé. Very light, fluffy and outstanding.
Terrible fine dining experience.
We visited upon recommendation however we were bitterly disappointed. The service was very temperamental, even unprofessional at times. The food was good quality mostly except dessert which was bland and tasteless.
For the price $750 for 3 people we expected better and this is spoken with experience of fine dining throughout the world.
We will not be returning and also would not recommend this restaurant.
