We find this restaurant to be a very nice place to enjoy an appetizer and a few drinks as well as having the perfect dinner with spouse and family. Mario makes sure you feel like part of the family as the staff that insures all is good. This is that little diamond in the rough that you always leave satisfied and looking forward to the next visit

The food is very good and the portion sizes aren't crazy big. The service was excellent so we had a great meal.

First time for me at Aliano's. Service was lacking. Waitress brought me the wrong entree and when told, her reply was sorry, my fault. That was it. Food was just ok but combined with the service, we certainly won't be going back.

Two couples went for Saturday dinner. Service was prompt and professional. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would certainly go again for a casual dinner. Live jazz in the bar afterwards was a bonus.

In the area for kids' sports tournament and seemed like a good fit for a group of parents and teenage girls. Homey family owned restaurant feel off the tourist track. Let me start by saying our server was exceptional. We were stocked with warm bread and water and everything arrived as promised. The group order a variety of classics and some off the beaten path items. My roasted salmon with tomato vodka sauce capellini was fine. Better than Olive Garden, but not gourmet Italian. Presentation was a little odd with an enormous lightly fried basil leaf on the side. My daughter ate her entire chicken parm. The only issues were the salads and the wine list. The salads all came in a bowl with a little rinse water in the bottom. Yuk. This diluted the dressing and helped dressing splash all over while you took a bite. All of our salads were like this, so pick up your game in the prep kitchen folks. The second issue was the wine list. Why do Italian places have so few Italian wine choices, except for the cheap chianti and a $80 bottle of a Super Tuscan. Again, an opportunity missed. Overall value was there and we were well taken care of.

I chose Aliano's because it was in the Batavia neighborhood. I had purchased tickets for an event at Fermilab and wanted a restaurant that was close by. Although the service got off to a slow start, they recovered and we had a great experience. The timing of the courses was good. All of us enjoyed our dishes. I'd go back for the chicken dish I had - can't remember the name, but it was egg-battered chicken over angel hair pasta. YUM! The chicken was cooked perfectly - not overcooked & dry. I would have liked some marinara for the pasta, though (please note that I didn't ask for it). The sauce that was great on the chicken didn't really add much to the pasta. I loved the way they decorated and also appreciated the extra wall in the large room that provided a cozier feel & likely cut down on the noise level so that we were easily able to converse with one another without raising our voices.

We love this place. But noticed that portions have shrunk considerably.

The food was wonderful, but service was off the night we went. It took four requests to get bread for the table. However, the meals were all fantastic and all four of us would have been happy to go back.

Great food and awesome service. The only thing I would suggest to improve is the lighting, to bright other than that, great place. I will for sure be going back
