Wonderful Sunday jazz brunch experience. Having a discount from the Gilt City voucher makes this expensive brunch more accessible...lovely ambiance, high-quality food, and wonderful, not-rushed service.
Stick a fork in it, it's done. At one time it may have been a good place. That time is long gone. It's another place waiting too long to upgrade or change. Weak wines, the good ones horribly overpriced. I knew before I was told, no mussels, or Lobster to be careful. It seems that the neighborhood is in need of an upgrade, but hey, what do I know. I'm a tourist.
I would recommend with caveats. Nice location. Brunch was just Ok. Limited menu and seems like quality has dipped.

Every staff member was friendly without hovering. We felt very welcome. The food was great. I had plenty of seafood in my bouillabaisse, but more importantly the flavors were well-balanced. My wife enjoyed her halibut (and so did I) for the same reasons. The truffle fries are a must!!! My only confusion is why the restaurant is marketed a Mediterranean place, when it seemed like there was only one dish from each section (app, entre) that seemed characteristically Mediterranean, but that could be due to my own ignorance. The food was good regardless.

I actually was booking to have Afternoon Tea but reservation was for brunch but the staff was wonderful and was able to get me and husband in for tea. Which I would highly recommend. It came with tea and both savory and sweet treats. Very elegant and a treat.

We ordered a bottle of white wine that we would have preferred to be chilled & it took a bit of time to get it chilled on ice. Otherwise happy & will return.

Wonderful birthday experience! Wonderful attention to detail and excellent service! Brunch with cold bar including raw oyster, shrimp along with charcuterie, cheeses and fruit. Hot bar with lobster thermador and wonderful corned beef. Then you choose delectable items from the menu. Our lobster Benedict and lamb shanks were marvelous! Would definitely go again.
A very nice setting but a short menu for a restaurant of the type which my choosing rather difficult. Overall, the restaurant served well prepared food but the restaurant does not have any buzz.
Very nice restaurant. Overall, the food is good. The restaurant is very overpriced. $69 for brunch is really over priced for what is included. It should not cost $200 for 2 people to have brunch.
Went for a birthday . The room was beautiful but poorly lit. That greatly reduced the ambiance. Wildly under staffed, we waited for almost 15 mins to before we saw a waiter. A manager came and assisted which helped. Very very poor representation for a st Regis property and luxury experience that you pay for at a property of this type was absent. Two of three entrees were delicious. One was cold.
The lobster ravioli was exceptional. The restaurant is a stark contrast with the traditional St Regis so that was a bit of a shock but if you’ve looked at photos of the restaurant it shouldn’t be a surprise. Excellent wine selection and desserts were great as well.
Absolutely 5 stars, from the hostess to Maître d'hôtel to servers and busser! Praises to the chefs. We all enjoyed every meal. Now, this missed the Diamond mark because of bellhop. The older gentleman with red jacket never greeted nor interacted with us warmly. He was even brash with us as we left. Otherwise, all else was superlative!

Good experience. Food was typical of any higher end restaurant. Love the decor. The service was so-so. A little slow and not very attentive for initial order or subsequent drinks or menu items. Perhaps it was because I wasn’t wearing a suit.
Disappointing. Was expecting much more from this restaurant based on the ads.

This restaurant stands on its own as an excellent restaurant, not just as a place to feed hotel guests. In years past, the menu seemed overpriced and standard fare, but it appears to have been completely overhauled. There still are some overly expensive dishes, but I had an eggplant appetizer and a vegetarian tagine that were both excellent and different. Flavorfully spiced with impeccable ingredients.
My bf and I came here for a special brunch date. Jazz brunch was amazing; the food, service, and ambience was superb.

Did not know it was restaurant week and arrived to limited menu. The one person who liked the food was sick with GI problem the next day. Foie gras refrigerate and served as slab cut served with dollop of duck confit. Bad quality and expected to eat with a fork, no crackers, bread. Parsnip soup was so thick, thicker than heavy cream with little flavor. Branzino was edible, two deserts were not eaten, short ribs drenched in gravy, mashed potato consistency reminded one of dehydrated potato flakes reconstituted. Scallop entree, lobster appetizer enjoyed but that person had GI problems next day. Service was horrible. Too much time if I elaborated. Cushion bench was filthy. Picture attached. Restaurant pretty empty. Will never go back.
We dined at Alhambra during restaurant week with high expectations based on the good reviews. The food was average at best, as was the service. Dinner for three plus wine was significantly overpriced for the quality. We would not recommend the restaurant, but we would return to have a drink at the bar for the lovely ambiance.
Food was okay- probably would be better outside of restaurant week, but regular menu is pricey so restaurant week was a good deal. Portions were small. Ambiance was a bit cold and modern and not as inviting as the warm and luxurious St Regis bar next door. Probably would go back to that bar but not to this restaurant.
Wanted to try a new to us restaurant for January 2019 Restaurant Week and Alhambra proved an excellent choice with delicious food, elegant gentility and service to match. Although the menu was limited, all choices sampled excelled.
It was restaurant week so you can't expect their best but the deserts were minuscule postage stamp sized. The modern decor in the ornate building was jarring. There seemed to be a lot of service staff for the size of the room. I do not begrudge giving people work, but there was constantly someone moving about the table. It was like eating in an outdoor cafe but on the sidewalk, not in the cafe.

Great Restaurant Week menu. Service was really great, and the restaurant is nice and quiet. Would definitely recommend again.
The food that was served was very good, We all had fish. We had no interest in a pre fix meal but that was our only choice as the online and had not seen any reference to this. We were told that the chef would not vary from the pre fix and that we could not have a salad. So we skipped the appetizers and dessert but paid for the entire meal. 4 people? What we ate was delicious but it caused some awkward moments when we first sat down. We felt captured. We had valet take our cars so couldn't leave. Server was nice but forgot my wine and I had to ask halfway through the meal. Again not smooth.
It's nice to have a quiet restaurant for a change - where one doesn't have to raise one's voice or lean in to hear your dining partners.
We thought it was funny that they couldn't quite get it right when it came to who gets which dish - deducted one star for that.
Otherwise it was a fine experience in a historic and beautiful dining room.
Went for Restaurant Week lunch. The space is gorgeous, and it wasn't busy. Waitstaff were polite, attentive, and friendly. The food was amazing! Short rib, beet salad, butternut soup, cauliflower--all excellent. The potatoes served with the short rib were to die for. Deserts were good but not great.
Excellent! The half chicken was moist, crispy and so delicious!
