Taking inspiration from the landmark Alhambra Palace and Fortress in southern Spain, one of the most famous monuments of Islamic and Spanish Renaissance architecture, our new menu exemplifies the blending of cultures and cuisines across the region.

Showcasing their rich bounty of produce and fish in a modern and convivial setting, Chef Ivan Zivkovic presents a seasonally inspired menu enhanced with the bold flavors across a variety of the region’s cultures. With distinct menus offered across brunch, lunch and dinner, the dining concept focuses on four sections of small plated dishes – sea, land, garden and table – all meant to be shared.

Alhambra is located on the lobby-level of The St. Regis Washington, D.C. at 923 Black Lives Matter Plaza NW in the heart of downtown D.C. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast and lunch, as well as dinner from Monday through Saturday and brunch on weekends.

Our first visit to Alhambra and it did not disappoint! We received excellent service from Sofiane at Table 6, which I HIGHLY recommend (table and superior server). We will be back! Great classic ambiance and highly luxurious location overall. The food though, some of the most amazing Mediterranean style food we have had in DC. Great job to management for hiring great employees like Sofiane and overseeing a quality operation.

We had a great experience at Alhambra last night, the chicken was incredible and the tuna tartar was the other standout of the night. Our waiter Sofiane made the experience that much better by being kind funny and personable.

A beautiful setting, well crafted food, and friendly but distracted service. One would think this translates to a great review, but the cost was excessive- well more than one would pay for a high quality meal at an iconic restaurant (e.g., the French Laundry).

Food is tapas style. Highlights were the bread with various spreads, the date butter is phenomenal. The Tagliatelle with clams, the octopus and the branzino were my absolute faves. Others in my party had the lamb kofta and braised short ribs that they really enjoyed as well.

Fabulous dinner. Food was fantastic (not only what we ordered but the bread was unbelievable!). The baklava cheesecake was also a highlight. Our waiter, Sofiane, made the experience extra special and guided us through the drinks and several dishes. Coming back again soon for more!

I, as well as my Father, had a wonderful Birthday celebration here. My friends who joined us also really enjoyed the dinner as well. We ordered the lamb chops, braisened short ribs, tuna tartar, gem lettuce salad, roasted chicken and the chocolate cake as well as other items. Everything was delicious!!! I as well as my friends, had the very delicious and well-balanced cocktails. Everything was 5 stars. I also really liked the fact it was also kid friendly. I had my 5 year old with us, and they had a kids menu as well. My server Sofiane was AWESOME!! he was soo nice and personable and professional. I had a really great time and will definitely be back.

We found Alhambra via the Wine Spectator Restaurant list and decided to give it a try! It was spectacular! The food was cooked to perfection and made me feel like I was in Spain again. Best wine selection I've ever seen. We landed on some Cabernet Franc from Loire Valley and it really hit the spot. The service was above and beyond! Manager Michael was great! The place is definitely worth visiting. We will definitely be back in the future.

I had a wonderful Fine Dining Experience at Alhambra located in the lobby of the sophisticated St. Regis Washington, D.C. I ordered from 3- course prix fixe summer restaurant menu and I wasn’t disappointed! I couldn’t fault any of the 3 courses. From the beautifully presented and delicious 100 layer patatas brava , the juicy and delicious Aleppo smoked chicken and not to forget the baklava cheesecake “yummy goodness”. And yes, my Algerian waitstaff, Sofiane was very courteous and friendly. Also, the manager, Michael is very personable. They both made my experience memorable with the top notch service. First time here and I shall definitely revisit. And thanks, for recommending the Cucumber mule. Entree portion was incredibly small. Flavors were great however the chicken main entree was a single chicken thigh with no sides. Not filling at all, had to go out and order food at another restaurant afterwards. I love restaurant week because usually it's a great way to be introduced to new restaurants and although it is a bit of a bargain I'm not used to them scaling back portion size to such an extreme amount.

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday with a party of 7. Our waiter Sofiane was fantastic. He made our experience great at Alhambra. Super friendly and gave us all the information we needed on the menu. The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect.

Delicious food and great service! They went the extra mile for my birthday by bringing a complimentary dessert and champagne. The waiter made sure he learned my 10 year old’s name and made her laugh. Only disappointment is they were out of the potatoes bravas but I bet they are delicious!

The food here is terrific, let's be clear. The service is terrible. Our waiter pushed on us way to much food (saying that the appetizers were tiny bites, which they were not) insisting we order two each. Second, the waiter disappeared after greeting us and the taking of orders took way too long. It was nearly impossible to get the check. The waiter also inappropriately shared the 'famous" people who sat where we were sitting. This kind of service in a restaurant of this price range is simply unacceptable.

Let me be honest - we came for brunch and stayed for drinks! "Undercover sommelier" Vad could not have been more helpful in both his attendance and his recommendations. The wine-by-the-glass selection was superb & although I don’t recall the exact ones we tried, I do recall them all being very tasty! Vad showed us the cellar and helped my brother pick the right bottle of wine for his palate and also brought us some Lambrusco to taste - it was just what we needed to cut through the thirst! Our server was personable and helpful too. All in all, a fabulous place!

Alhambra was exquisite. Walking into the restaurant, a gentleman was playing such great music on the guitar. The hostess was very sweet and polite. Our server (Sophian ) was very nice. Had my husband and I laughing the whole night. The food… the food was amazing! Well seasoned, juicy and was above expectations every single time. I love this place and I will definitely return

Surprisingly delicious! We had no expectations so perhaps that’s why we found Alhambra so delicious but the chef is excellent. Bread is scrumptious and the dips (eggplant, red pepper hummus thing, etc). Get the chicken - boring dish usually was soft and tasty. Quiet place. Loved it.

One of the best restaurants in DC. The food is amazing and inventive. Probably the most delicious short rib I've ever had. Vasiliki our server was lovely. Amazing wine selection which pairs beautifully with the food.
