We got the chef’s tasting with a wine pairing and loved it! All of the food was perfectly done, with unique flavors, and the wines chosen paired very well and also allowed us to try some wines we might not have ordered normally. Our waiter was great too and we felt very treated! Thanks for making it a special birthday for my fiancée.
First time dining at Alexander’s. Everything was fantastic. Great service, food was exquisite as was the wine. We will return soon.
Service and food is always stellar.
For whatever reason they thought giving you half as much food and trying to present it differently would be a great idea. I guess it is for them, they get to charge the same for less food. The cupertino alexanders is far superior
Tasters Menu-First Time! Fabulous parings and just had to have another selection of their fine wines. People say you get what you pay for but with Alexander’s you’ll get more! Enjoy
Steak is overpriced and really not better than any home cooked steak
The food was amazing but it’s definitely price but that’s what you expect with quality food!
What an amazing staff, I went with their suggestions and they were certainly pleasing. Wine selection is out the roof - I had the best rib eye to date! Can’t wait to go back!
Wonderful time there, great customer services
Not like it was pre pandemic. Staff nice but service not the same.
Food is always great at Alexander’s but this time the service was poor. Waiters forgot to replace plates multiple times, needed to be reminded that we ordered water and wine and never brought us bread despite asking for it multiple times.
Service was much slower than usual.
If it wasn’t for the great quality of the food I’d left the place unhappy for the first time.
I want to start with this was my first time in this restaurant and will be coming back. Everyone is very friendly with a warm greeting inside the restaurant. Food was amazing and good timing on the the courses of food. I gave a 4 on the valve due to the steak knives not being sharp. I had a hard time cutting my steak. Overall great place to wine and dine.
Desserts were below average. They need a pastry chef that can execute some classic desserts that are more in line with a steak dinner.
Service was a bit rusty but expected. Wine list is 2nd to none. The food was great.
One of the steaks ordered came back medium-rare instead of medium and my date still ate it but she could tell the difference. Not a big deal but she wanted it medium.
The staff, the food, the drinks, everything was perfect for our 20th wedding anniversary celebration. It was so nice to be able to go out and to such an amazing location.
Attention to detail was amazing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite.
Cocktails and the wine selection were perfectly matched to our food choices.
We will always be back.
I looked forward to a mind blowing dinning experience. Instead I had an above average meal with friends. Reality didn’t equal anticipation. Ribeye was good but it didn’t evoke high praise. I’d come back but my quest for an extraordinary steak continues
New York Steak was under cooked and waiter did not check on our table. Overall our dinning experience took four hours because food took a while to prepare. For the price you’re paying the food and service did not impress me.
I had a great tome here. The Chef’s tasting menu was amazing and the wine pairing went well with each course. I would love to go back soon.
When we go out we look for great wine, great food and great service. Weren't disappointed here. Quality wine selections in most categories. Choice of tasting menus or al a carte with several wagyu selections. All servers and management were professional and well informed on the menus.
It was perfect. The wait staff and the sommelier were outstanding...
Fantastic Steaks, extensive wine list and top-notch scotch selection. Whiskey library is a sight to behold.
The food at the steakhouse was exceptional, cocktails were delicious and everything was eye-appealing. Service was good, but not outstanding, spent a lot of time trying to contact waiter. Other than that, would recommend to anyone.
Our server Jeremynwas wonderful and very knowledgeable, the birthday card and free chocolate souffle they gave our table was so nice, the food was phenomenal and even though I'm a vegetarian the sides were more than enough food and I was full and satisfied....my friend who we were celebrating that night thorough enjoyed herself...we will be coming back
A night at Alexander's is always a special experience with exquisite and delectable treats for your palette. All of the steak is top notch from the Wagyu selections to the ribeye to the filet. I tend to go for the ribeye but the Wagyu is a nice treat for a celebration. The staff is thoughtful and the service is second to none. The mashed potatoes are a must order, as is the Octopus appetizer which is prepared sous vide before grilling. I have nothing but the highest recommendations for Alexander's.
I love Alexander's Steakhouse. The ambience, the flavors, the service... the best! Thank you. Happy to be able to treat myself every now and then to Alexander's.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service. The server was amazing, we didn't feel rushed and the bartender was happy to surprise us with custom drinks. It was an overall great experience with excellent food. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in SF.
Everything was good except fir the loud group close to us that was using a lot of profanity.
Good thing there were no children around.
I didn’t know that many “cuss” words existed
Wonderful experience, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and informative and the environment was lively.
As always, simply outstanding and superb in all facets for the experience. My favorite restaurant in San Francisco!
