Amazing customer service. Impecable food. Frederick the sommelier did an AMAZING job for us.
I went home a wrote a great review on YELP , I was that jazzed about Alexander’s Steakhouse!
We were treated like royalty after stopping in for a quiet dinner after attending the NAACP Image Awards. When the staff found out my wife was a nominee, they treated her like a queen. The ambience and friendliness of the server was especially notable. We will definitely be back
Wonderful in every way
Beautiful dinner and beautiful restaurant, would definitely go back again.
It’s a great place to stop off midweek for a quick and impromptu date night
We had a reservation for 10 adults and room for 1 stroller, and appreciated the fact that we were provided the small dining room so the stroller had room to park, and mom and baby could get up and out of their seats easily. Our celebration dinner was made festive and joyous with the help of Alex, the manager who took excellent care of us. Every question was answered gracefully, and the food was delicious. Even more important, the service was wonderful.
We had a very enjoyable evening at Alexander's. The food was excellent and our waiter, Alex was great. His wine recommendation was spot on. I would recommend Alexander's as a good place to go for a date night or special occasion.
A wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner with the quality of service and meal we have come to expect.
Fish was over done. Prime rib was not on the menu the night we went. Appetizer portions were very small.
Amazing food and great service. Quality of food cant be beat. One of the best ribeye steaks ive ever had.
Phenomenal service, sommelier, selection, and the desserts were some of the most unique and wonderful I’ve ever tasted
The food is excellent, fine dining with great environment. Waiters are very nice and helpful. Had our anniversary dinner there. Surprising good, will definitely go back. Give it a 5 star!
Awesome... awesome... awesome
Me and my husband arrived , the hostess kept having conversation with waiter and did not bother to acknowledge us, with attitude she should not be at the front as a hostess.
Restaurant ranked $$$$ the attire was more like beach front restaurant, people walked in in short and tennis?? We did not appreciated at all.
Food was very good, we had New York steak and Seabass.
Salad was good we had greens
Bread not good at all
We were excited that we will have chocolate soufflé not good at all. Our waiter Kevin, was excellent .
Our waiter though was very good .
Our meal was fantastic. The service was spectacular. Our server was very helpful in explaining the meals and also recommended sharing some of the dishes as they were large. Overall a very great dinning experience.
Alexander’s steakhouse was more than I had imagined. We were a party of 8 and we were given our own room where we were able to comfortably talk and joke amongst each other. Nick and Eduardo made our experience super memorable. They really read our vibe right and made us feel as if we had been friends since college. Their service was amazing. We ordered the porterhouse, prime ribs, filet mignon, rib eye, and sea bass. All the dishes left us speechless. The hibachi shots are worth trying if you’ve never had them. I would order them again if i go back. Alexander’s was really a 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
I love the japanese fusion of a steakhouse. Having the Steak and be able to eat rice, is almost second nature to me. Other steakplaces do not offer this. Having high class steaks and rice is awesome.
The service was great, the food was delicious and the setting was perfect for any special occasion. I love how knowledgeable everyone is about everything on the menu!
The white staff was super friendly. The made me and my parents feel welcomed and important to them. They advised and educated on their menu and were very well dressed. Melanie was especially helpful and so nice! We felt like they were welcoming us into their homes. Great place to dine!
Food was amazing as usual and this remains our favorite restaurant.
We went for a nice dinner but we were treated to one of the best meal experiences we’ve ever had. It began at the bar where I had a whisky sour...the best I’ve ever had! The foam on top was so delightful!
Then we had our dinner, staring with pork belly (falling apart and full of flavor), and then into the main course (Ribeye and Prime Rib...the best two steaks we’ve ever had, cooked to perfection!). They gave us so many extras: a full of flavor fish appetizer, an amazing bread plate with butter pairings, and pallet cleanser, and a whimsical dessert that included cotton candy!!
From start to finish we had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to return.
Excellent service by Candance and beautiful person.
Awesome steak house. Servers make you feel at home, love the palette cleansers, and cotton candy at the end of the meal. Wish I could afford to eat there on a regular basis
Absolutely delicious and plan to go back and try the rest of the menu.
Omg is all I can say.. Actually there’s more! Best presentation ever, best service ever, food .. no words.. Had one of the greatest experience in my life and will be back. Jase the maitre’d, absolute greatest..
This experience will never be forgotten!
The first time we went to Alexander’s was during Dine LA week and it was amazing. The 2nd time was just as excellent. This time was the 3rd and it was not as good. The quality and quantity just was not worth the price we paid for that meal. Although the classic octopus, bread, chawanmushi and A5 wagyu was delicious, the rest was very lackluster. I was told the head chef is different than the chef from a couple of years ago and that’s the reason why things changed for the worse. The service was still great, however, and they did provide tons of complimentary dessert... even though it wasn’t that great either.
This is our third time visit Alexander‘s and seconded time for DineLA. We enjoyed last times very much，but not this one. The DineLA menu went up $20 compare with two years ago，but the food isn't any better and the waygu portion get a lot smaller. The octopus and fish my husband ordered are extremely salty. Service is under expectation too，it's very slow and unpleasant. The cocktail I ordered never come and my husband asked for refill bread，never came either. We kindly shared feedback with our waiter and he's like I sent it to the kitchen，do you want talk to the manager directly？I don‘t think he feel sorry about the service failure，but we don't want to get anybody in trouble，so my husband said as long as you pass the word to management we‘re okay. But when he handed us the check he kinda gave us an attitude and mumbled something we did hear clearly. We will definitely not come back and won't recommend this place to any friends again.
Went for anniversary. Really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and whole experience. Staff went above and beyond. Will definately dine there again and would recommend to others
This restaurant is absolutely stellar. Beyond the great food, the selection of whiskey and wine was unbelievable. The food was out of this world. The quality, freshness and creative dishes were not overly complex, yet they were so deep in layers of flavor that I was not expecting.
The service was on another level as well. We never had a glass that was nearing empty, when a plate was finished it was immediately removed with a fresh clean one brought to replace it.
I highly recommend this place for either a romantic dinner, a business dinner, special occasion and literally any excuse to enjoy high end food.
This restaurant is expensive, we averaged about $250/person, which isn't cheap. I will say though if it can be afforded, it's well worth it. Definitely a better option than some of the expensive steakhouse chains.
Incredibly overpriced and pretentious steakhouse in Pasadena. Food is nothing special and better steakhouses can be found. Drink menu is bizarre - only two types of beer offered, no Bacardi, other common liquors not available also. I guess even there liquor distributor doesn't like them.
We so enjoyed tonight. For our appetizer, the Hamachi shooters were incredible. The ribeye was done to perfection. We first came to Alexanders a few years ago to see Manny. Unfortunately, he no longer works there. But to our surprise, Frederick is our new Manny! Lol What a gem of a person. Totally professional with the best wit and humor. We will definitely be returning. Next time with friends.
Our server Eddie Gonzalez was excellent and the food was fantastic
Service was great as expected. Food was excellent.
We went for our anniversary and the service was outstanding! We were made to feel special. All of our dishes were extraordinary!
It was amazing! The food was spectacular but the service was even better. You will feel like a king or queen.
7 Year Anniversary
Delightful place for a terrific meal. Gorgeous view of Pasadena City Hall, and staff was superb!
