Everything is perfect! Every single dish we ordered was fantastic, beef tartare, rib eye steak, octopus were all exceptional. The service was impeccable. Would definitely come back again.
The ambiance is very modern and classy. Simplicity. Welcomed by friendly staff that had outgoing personalities which I love because it makes your experience much more enjoyable when its engaging. The meals were plated nicely but the taste was even better. There are many favorites.
Lovely venue and easy to get to. Very caring and considerate servers and staff. The very best in the category of friendliness and engagement. In my opinion serving a steak in the usa should have classic dude dishes. Such potsties, green. Beans, asparsgus.... they had many a la cart sauces bernaise, bourdalasise.... but it seemed weak. I do understand the fusion component. The Hamachi shooters were amazing.
We came to Alexander's for steak. The steak was the worse part of the meal! We ordered a good and expensive cut and really couldn't chew it! Ribeye! So, when you go to a restaurant for a specific item and the specific item is not good, well, then...However, the appetizers were delicious, the bread and butter was great, and quite eclectic. But there are too many good steak houses near by to bother to go back.
Alexander's Steakhouse was a amazing. Food, service and experience was great. Would take family and friends. Also, would return myself with my wife and kids. Awesome place.
Had the prefix menu everything was great until the steak. I upgraded to the Japanese wagyu. Did not “melt” in my mouth. Not sure is it’s the cut or the meat. Friend had the American wagyu. Was so much better.
Meal was fantastic until the moment that it was ruined by a table with a young kid that the parents allowed him to watch video on phone with full blast sound on. Totally ruined an otherwise great dining experience
Excellent food, good cocktails, a LARGE wine list and great service. I highly recommend it for a "date night".
Great atmosphere. Great service. Good food. An nice date spot.
My favorite restaurant to go to. Great food
ordered all 4 types of A5 wagyu, they are a great disappointment
Always consistent and the level of service throughout was really good. It was my sons 30th Birthday and he got a lovely card with more than just Happy Birthday on it - it was a few sentences and seemed heartfelt. Service was excellent -all dishes were cooked perfectly and two in our party had fish which was likewise well prepared and very reasonable. We took our own wine which wasn't a problem and the bar staff were super.
Food and service were perfection! The steaks were as good as any I have had before. The side dishes were inspired.
Food was good, excellence service! Should have more seafood on their menu.
Our visit to Alexander's started out well. We were there for a birthday and the half glass of complimentary champagne was nice. The menu is complicated so it took the waiter time to go through it with us. We had an appropriate amount of time to consider the menu before ordering. We waited a long time for our orders to be delivered and then they came one person's at the time. My 3 oz. $125 steak was getting cold while waiting for the other meals to be delivered. Then we had none of the sides. Finally the mashed potatoes arrived with enough for one spoonful each. The fried cauliflower was very late and we were told that the original order got cold so they fried up another batch. The biggest disappointment was the food. Given the high price (appetizers $4 each and they were tiny), it was not good. The meats were blah and several of the appetizers and especially the cauliflower were very spicy. The latter was so hot that I literally drank two glasses of water before the fire went out. Should the sides overwhelm the taste of everything else? It took a long time to have our dishes removed. By then we'd been in the restaurant for 3 hours so passed on dessert. It's probably relevant that a large party was being served in a side room. Maybe that's why our service was so bad. Obviously, we'll never go back.
Expensive but the food is top notch. One of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Service was excellent.
Staff was very professional, and the food was excellent.
Best filet I have ever tasted. It was melt-in-your-mouth. Hamachi shots were amazing.
Amazing overall experience and overall professionalism. Executive chef Florent Courriol set the tone for the rest of the night I’d one day like to get the chance to work under him
The drinks, steaks and the environment are fantastic. Just be prepared for the check though... my friend and I both felt like it was one of the best steaks we've had in a long time.
Great experience and the steaks were amazing! Will definitely go back again!
It's always a treat because things are exceptionally delicious!
My birthday celebrated with hand written birthday cards, glasses of champagne, and desert from the house, service was e
Everything was good until we got the tiniest lobster we ever saw! Rediculous!!!! We were very disappointed
We like the food so we came back again. This time we liked even more. The steak was very good and the lobster was very tasty. The complimentary sweets, the cotton candy and chocolates really surprised us. And it was a perfect ending for an enjoyable dinner.
Love their steaks. Lots of options from a Ribeye to a New York to a wide selection of Japanese Wagu.
Alexander’s knows how to spoil a person on their birthday with a hand written card & being showered with birthday desserts. The food is always excellent but taking that extra step to make our dining experience really special is why we love celebrating at Alexander’s!
Celebrated my birthday at Alexander’s and it was spectacular.
The food was great and the place is really nice. Would recommend it!
My husband and I did not like some of the changes that have been made by your new Chef. Sometimes the you should leave well enough alone. Also sad that your long time whiskey expert left.
Very disappointed considering I was looking forward to dining here, food lacked seasoning and service was par. got all our food (including bread) at the same time that our table was cramped.
We enjoyed the night.
One of the best dining experiences in Southern California. Definitely on our list whenever a special occasion is on the calendar. Alexander's staff and kitchen make the experience very memorable.
Lovely evening. The service was amazing!
Ryan is a true professional.
The food was very flavorful with some unique yummy twists. Ryan's recommendations were right on.
Everything was good
The tartare didn't taste fresh.
That Shiga Omni Wagyu was overcooked.
The Strip in the Porterhouse had tendons in them.
They were't bad steaks. But for this price, I better get my steak perfectly cooked.
And overcooking a $50/oz Wagyu is not earning any stars.
At times, we also had difficulty finding our waiter.
On the bright side, we had 4 courses of dessert on the house.. and champagne for the birthday. But none of it matters if the steak wasn't done right.
Visiting from out of town. Wonderful but pricey
Food was great. We liked the waiter. He made significant errors but gave us a comp dessert soufflé as an apology.
The food was great and they made seasonal roasted vegetables platter that was not on the menu. Lot of flavor profile to the food we tried. The staff was very courteous and they pampered us.
