Alexander's Craft Cocktails and Kitchen was named after the distillery located on the grounds from 1861-1865, which washed away in a flood (historic marker located between the restaurant & The Manor).

The newly renovated main bar is located on 1st floor, and opens onto expansive wrap-around, creekside porches. Just a few steps down from the porches is an open deck situated beneath gracious Live Oak canopies.

The warm aubergine & copper walls of the third floor lounge contrast the amazing art representation from local galleries. The stunning view of Salado Creek as well as the grounds of the neighboring estate provide the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite beverage. Patrons choose from a variety of entree selections, appetizers, and adult beverages.

    We decided on the spur of the moment to make a reservation and were surprised that we could get in close to the time we were hoping for. We had heard from friends that their nightly special was really good so we both decided on that! It was more than really good! it was fabulous!! We ate out on the back porch overlooking the creek. It was so peaceful and quiet. We watched a blue heron fish in the creek and then deer came to get a drink before bedding down for the night. The special included a glass of wine and dessert. Needless to say, we were quite full when we left. No one hurried us to leave and allowed us to enjoy our time on the porch. Lovely evening and we are already planning our next dinner on the porch!!

    The Prix Fixe menu in a Tuesday is great value but be sure to book an early dining time as the quantities are limited! We have been many times and over the last 5 years never been disappointed with the food. Service is occasionally slower than desired, but otherwise very good.

    First time eating here, surprised by the serene location. Although hot, I sat outside as is my usual preference. Enjoyed the stream flowing by, watching birds and nature, and the quiet. Service was great. The food was delicious, I ordered the tenderloin and a glass of Malbec. My only small negative contact is that I ordered the tenderloin rare but it came out medium rare. This is not usually bothersome to me but may be to someone more particular. I would definitely go back.

    Lovely old victorian home on a creek. It was nice inside but they could really use some decorating help to brighten up the main dining room. My filet was a 4.5. The only reason I didn't rate it a five is that even though it was cooked perfectly inside, it wasn't seared on the outside. The accompaning mashed purple potatoes and baby zucchini were excellent. Husband said he has never had better Salmon. I ordered a manhattan with house bourbon and they charged $17.00. There are no prices on the drink menu so there is no way to know what their drinks cost. I would have selected something else had I known. I can't wait to go back there when it is cooler so we can enjoy the outside lawn and wrap around patio.

    This is a great place. I can always expect high quality food and service at a great price. Their Tuesday one price menus are an amazing value. We had a fine dining dinner for two with an appetizer and dessert for 57.00.

    Food and service was excellent. Atmosphere was very good for a one on one music was at just the right level not to interfere with your conversations if it wasn't for a noise table behind us it would of been perfect. Meals were a little pricey but I suppose that's the the price you have to pay to have a relaxing dinner without competing with five sport channels and a rowdy crowd.

    My husband and I went a Alexander’s for a romantic date night, intending to splurge. We both regret going, as it was an absolute waste of a lot of money and not enjoyable at all because of the frustrations with the food and service. Our waitress was a sweet girl, but I think she was probably overwhelmed with tables and probably forgot about us after she gave us our food. If I’m spending $200 on one meal for two people, I expect great service. Our first cocktails were a long wait and just ok, not worth ever ordering again, and tried to find something better. Asked if they could do a traditional bees knees, which came after a very, very long wait with our entrees and then was the worst bees knees I’ve ever had (and I order it as often as possible). We know they had been done for a while because my husband’s mexican martini was warm, which tasted absolutely nothing like a Mexican martini and was undrinkable, and he will drink just about anything. Beet salad was also worst I’ve ever had. Extremely dry and hard to eat. Waitress didn’t come back so I couldn’t ask her for any dressing for it, so, after a while, we just ate it with the bread olive oil on the table since we were paying. My husbands steak was actually cooked perfectly, but it had no flavor beyond the good butter, and it was extremely chewy which we found odd because it was not over cooked. It wasn’t worth the effort it took to chew it. Potato was average. My salmon was the only good thing and the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. We were never asked how any of our food was or I would’ve been honest. Our drinks came back to back with our entrées, and after that we never saw our waitress again until after we were done and waiting a while, I asked the hostess to find her so we could pay. At that time I told her our last two drinks were undrinkable and requested they be taken off the bill, and she did that, at least. Had she come sooner I would’ve appreciated a remake instead.

    We eat here several times per year and live locally. They have done a good job retaining servers and staff and they do a great job. Bar is good and food is very acceptable but nothing ‘fancy’. Good date night spot.

    This was our second visit to Alexander’s and we were NOT disappointed. From unique offerings of both beverages and food, (all of which were well executed) to the professional and friendly service, to the beautifully appointed surroundings, everything met or exceeded our high standards. We will be back and we highly recommend Alexander’s!

    Charcuterie board could not be described by our server when asked. Chardonnay was lukewarm instead of chilled and server was slow / may be overbooked. As the restaurant thinned out (prepping to close completely), she rarely circled back to the table to check on us. Food was good - improvements will come with experience. Brussel sprout stems need to be removed before cooking - or they become sharp & hard.

    We enjoyed visiting here again - it had been a couple of years. The house is really nice and the dining areas cozy. The Food was great - there were 4 of us and we had a filet, a scottish salmon and lamb chops. The Bread pudding for dessert was delicious. A very nice place with a very nice bar with innovative cocktails.

    Always a great experience ! Its our go to place for date nights. We love the hidden room upstairs “Speak Easy” but shh, its a secret so don’t share it ;) Plus, they have a Tuesday special so its definitely a win! Highly recommend!!

    Outstanding service and the food was stellar. Convenient location for Inn on the Creek guests and worth a drive from surrounding towns. You lookout the windows and see wildlife and a running creek.
