   A hidden gem for lovers of comfort food with finesse. The space is gorgeous — modern yet cozy, with rich textures and lighting that makes everything feel a little more special. But let’s talk about the pierogies: pillowy, golden-edged perfection. The filling was deeply flavorful, clearly crafted with technique and tradition in mind. Paired with a touch of browned butter and just the right amount of acidity — truly memorable. Can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.

   From the moment we stepped into Restaurant Aleksandar, the vibe was just right — stylish but cozy, with great music and a warm, welcoming energy. The service? Spot on. Friendly, on top of everything, and clearly passionate about what they do. And the Spicy Crab Rösti... wow. Crispy, spicy, buttery perfection. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. Honestly, I’d come back just for that (but let’s be real, I’ll be ordering everything else too). This place is a gem — can’t wait for the next round!

   The menu was interesting- something for everyone. The service was amazing and the food was delicious and fresh. The place is darling. We started with the appetizer that was the special of the night. Spicy crab on a hashbrown. SO tasty!!!

   We particularly enjoyed the salmon and the Chilean Sea Bass - both the preparation and presentation matched the taste - just delicious.

   I have been wanting to try this for a while and finally got the chance. My son lives in rittenhouse so it is the perfect location and decor is so high end. We started with martinis. They were not crisp as they should be. And mine tasted like an olive and I like it dirty. The blue cheese olives were super small you could barely taste the blue cheese, the oysters were watery and our meals were very salty I could even finish it. I did have a most delicious beet salad.

   Disappointed. It was my birthday dinner and the food was underwhelming. Seabass was salty, risotto looked like creamed rice and the “rice pilaf” laughable. Cheesecake had a chalk taste as if it was too much cornstarch or flour super disappointing. Chicken dish wasn’t bad. I had high hopes especially since they ask for credit card or cancel your reservation. Ambiance and drinks were cool.

   Second time I’ve ever been here and wanted to take my partner. The first time the restaurant was new and had an amazing time, food, and experience. This time however was the opposite. I booked outdoor seating and we were sat next to a massive vehicle on the edge of the sidewalk and I asked to be moved inside if possible (there was openings from 5-9pm of reservation times on OpenTable for indoor AND outdoor seating) and we were told by the owner and the hostess “that’s going to be hard to accommodate you inside, we’re booked”… and rolled their eyes. We then got wedged in the corner of the bar and didn’t get acknowledged for almost 15 minutes. Our server was nice, but for the prices of the drinks and entrees just being okay, I will not come back. Mind you, when we left there was maybe three tables occupied. I always want to support small businesses as an owner of one myself, but the service ruined it for me.

    We started with the mussels and the pierogies. The mussels were good, but 3 did not open. The pierogies were very large. They arrived at the table lukewarm at best. They were a disappointment. I had the scallops for my entree. For $44 I would have expected a few more than four small scallops. My husband had the sea bass. It was just OK and needed more spice. The service was on the poor side. We mentioned the pierogies being warm and unopened mussels, but it fell on deaf ears. The setting itself was very nice.
