Had our Valentine’s Day dinner here and it had some of the best filet mignon I have ever had! Perfectly cooked and served with sautéed mushrooms, sautéed spinach and a remarkable croquette. To drink we ordered the peach sangria and it was delicious! Place turns into a lounge after dinner and man was that poppin!
Service was not great.
Excellent food. Atmosphere was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly.
The food is very good! I always have a great experience at Alegria. I love the latino vibe and they usually have a guy playing guitar and singing live which is a nice touch to the dining experience. I would totally recommend it!
Alegria is such a lively place. I loved my food and my server attended well.
I didn’t like my seats. My seat was ripping and the corner seemed more occupied with people lining up for the bathroom.
Great V-day place! Staff was friendly and attentive.
The bartender needs to learn how to make a pisco sour.
I made reservations through the open table app on Christmas eve. My reservation was confirmed by text. When I got there, the restaurant was closed and my ride had already left.
They advertise Sunday brunch that starts at 11:30 but only have the regular lunch menu available.
Birthday , sat outside patio. Music was super loud
The place is too small and the servers are not helpful
great paella 🥘; however they were out of alot of wines & the serve struggled on a Tuesday night. I recommend it, but you need to be flexible. 😎
Red wine was warm. Did not seem to have a cellar in house. Did not seem as clean and utensils where cheap. Fork bent.
Everything is perfect except once it's 10PM on Saturday, they ask you to get up and wrap up your dinner because they take away the tables and make them VIP seats for people that buy bottles. I literally had to throw away my food even though I wasn't done.
Food was really good and well priced, but didn’t realize the “show” is only for people who pay $50. I’m guessing it was flamenco dancers, as I wasn’t willing to pay $50 to find out. Quite loud inside, so recommend the sidewalk seating. I’d go back.
Food was great. The waiter was terrific. He had worked all day but went out of his way to accommodate our every need and was cheerful.
Terrible experience. They advertised that they would have Flamenco dancers...but didn’t advertise that they were only dancing at noon in a small section of the restaurant. There were plenty of tables available but due to poor planning they were spaced out and could not be pushed together to seat us. This was Mother’s Day and they asked if we would be ok sitting at separate tables. The final straw was that on the open table site the restaurant said there was a special Mother’s Day menu but that the regular menu would also be available. Well...it wasn’t and they forced you to order off the special brunch menu that was $50 per person. We walked out and went down the street to Rockbottom brewery and had a great lunch. I wonder how they stay in business with such poor service and their bait and switch tactics. We won’t be going to Alegria ever again
It was our first time there and my wife, Mom and Mother in law were all very happy and impressed. The food was great, ambiance with live music awesome and we can’t wait to go back.
Mother’s Day brunch was a disaster. Maybe because we were the first ones ? Idk. Server didn’t know the menu. No kid
Options. Horrible customer service. Not attentive and yet very quick to charge a $100
Food was wonderful and service was good. Music made it VERY difficult to talk.
Alegria is a great place! But this time I seated by the patio, and the hosstess took forver 10 minutes or more to send a waiter, i had to tell her myself, even after that it took another 5 minutes. Waiter was good ,but he said he was very busy , after that he did great , but making any customer wait to offer some water or make them welcome is very important ,and more when i am bringing a new friend and new to alegria. I really recomend you to give more attention to customer upon arriving and make them feel comfortable and welcome. Because i felt left alone out there . I was about to call for the supervisor to talk , because last time i was there ,the wa I ter took long to come to our table also and i was seating inside. Thank you! I trued some good food here before, this time my friend got salmon with brocoli his plate was good. I got chicken breast with beans& rice and plantains. Chicken waa good, but beans with the mix rice was cold and dry ,also plantains were very dry, not good looking.... that night i felt dissapointed.... a happy customer will always come back.
First time there, loved everything until they started moving tables around without telling us anything. I was still finishing my drink, had not paid my tab and they told qe need to get up . I asked what was going and they told me they needed the area for dancing. I sat at another table and told us if we wanted to sit there I needed to buy $150.00 bottle service.or to go outside 😡😡 I had just spent 140.00 in food and drinks. Very rude, will never go back. Shame
Been here twice and have not been disappointed. Fun atmosphere, small but diverse Latin menu with a bit of modernity. Large portions. If you come with friends you could order numerous items and feel like you are on whirlwind Latin tour.
Love coming here over the years I've lived in the south bay, always a great experience with staff, food and ambiance! Will come back over and over again!
excellent food! a bit crowded and have to push server a bit if you do not want a long, long dinner, but worth it, dave
Waiter was awesome. Food, wax not that good. But, had a pleasant time.
The waiter "forgot"to give the order to the cook and it took forever for the food of the birthday boy after we all had already received our food..then we had to keep on reminding to refill.our drinks mind you we were a table of 4.The food wasnt what is was before i have always highly recommended this place .then you have to pay extra to see the flamenco show which was the reason i chose to go there to celebrate my husband's birthday.. i was extremely disappointed
Bad choice for us to celebrate New Year’s Eve. Expensive and worst of all, very disappointing food. Paella Valenciana not even remotely a decent paella. Tasteless and uninspired, unfortunate since that was the prime if only three entre choices.
It was a good place to celebrate my birthday the only thing that I didn't like it was and the end. We want to stayed for a little bit longer but we were push awayeating because the dancing floor was needed but we couldn't stay...
We were in the VIP zone so we have to leave...
Everything else was good
We sat at a table outside, too noisy to engage in casual conversation. Food was cold, not very good tasting.
Thank goodness I had a glass of wine. Will not return or recommend.
Nice place to dine except it’s more of a nightclub atmosphere. Skirt steaks were great. Soup starter was also great. Just very loud inside so might be better to go during weekdays.
We had a great evening at Alegria! The vibe was fun, young and energetic. We enjoyed the music from the flamenco dance show. The food was so tasty and good! We shared family style enjoying sangria, nachos & ceviche and then paella with so much delicious seafood. Quite an eclectic crowd. We fit right in and enjoyed our time together. Thanks Alegria for a fun evening!
This rating is provided because despite the fact that Opentable accepted my reservation request and booked me for dinner last Thursday evening, when we arrived at the restaurant, workers there informed us that the restaurant was closed for the evening. It’s not clear to me why the restaurant would allow reservations to be made on Opentable if they were closed. Luckily I was able to find a table at Sevilla across the street.
This was the first time I’ve been there in over a year and I really wanted to like the place. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food. The steak fajitas were overcooked and corn tortillas weren’t available. The server said, “Sometimes we have them and sometimes we don’t.” My two friends' tacos were served laying in the frijoles- not easy to pick up when drenched. Since both orders of tacos were served this way, we assumed it was the typical plating of the food. Also, no blended margaritas- apparently they don’t have a blender.
It’s too bad, I really wanted to like the place.
The restaurant decor and ambiance was nice. Did not like the paella Valencia. Also, while I was eating I bit into something hard. Assumed it was a bone from chicken. Nonetheless paella was ok, so we took the uneaten portion home. When eating it the next day, I again bit something hard and upon inspection saw that it was a small piece of silver metal or maybe fiberglass. So, had to throw the food away.
We were celebrating my moms birthday and the waiter seemed very annoyed , made the whole experience awful.
Food was like half cooked but great service
Just a very adequate meal. Nothing special. Very disappointed with the paella dish. Chicken was very dry. There was also beef and not a good variety of seafood.
The food was subpar all around. It was either bland, too salty, or just bad. I felt really bad that I had invited my friend to eat here. It was very overpriced given the poor quality.
We were there for a late lunch / early dinner, midweek, so the place was quiet. However, I've been here on a weekend night and it was jumping and a bit loud. I had the whiskey salmon and it was delicious. I've had the paella before and it's definitely on point. Your best bet for a great experience would be to get there early for dinner on a Saturday and stay for the Flamenco.
