Everything was amazing. Service was top notch. Ambience was great, quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling. We had chicken Marsala, linguine with lobster and spaghetti with clams. Everything came out piping hot and tasted delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
Service was great, the waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable
We stopped in to Aldo's on the way home to DC from a regional sports tournament. The food was extraordinary, the service was absolutely outstanding, and the hospitality was off the charts. This is precisely the kind of restaurant that Washington DC lacks which you can find from time to time in medium sized cities. Modest, somewhat old-fashioned in appearances, but progressive and formidable with cuisine and absolutely charming in terms of service.
$270 for canned gravy (sauce) and canned clams. Not to mention we ordered a good bottle of wine, the waitress brought out a cheap bottle, we pointed out that it was the wrong bottle and they told us “this is what the distributor replaced the good bottle with”.... save your money, stay home and eat spaghetti O’s and Boone’s farm, you’ll be more satisfied.
Incredible food and service! Worth the occasional splurge.
Amazing meal, service and menu. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Little Italy.
Service was great! Food was amazing!
Food was very very delicious, server was courteous
The ambiance was amazing. We really enjoyed the appetizer and main course. Wine was overpriced but we purchased a bottle.
The atmosphere was dynamic as the layout of the classy but modern design of the restaurant really set the tone of a romantic evening. High quality food and quick service made this an enjoyable experience.
The best romantic restaurant in Baltimore Maryland. Love the family owned atmosphere. Great staff. Great wine. Great food. Best Tiramisu in the US.
I do dine out a lot but I don't normally come her for a feedback unless I find it very necessary. And this time, I'm came here to give a two thumbs up for the wonderful lady who made my Valentine's Day evening very accommodating, despite the hustle and bustle they had that evening. And don't get me wrong, I do love Italian dish and this restaurant lives to your expectation. However, it's not just the food that makes a restaurant great, but the service as well. And for some people like me, I give more value for the service. And this one wonderful lady called Margaret took care of me before and after I arrived at the restaurant. She managed to set flowers on the table on a short notice, sat my guests though I came late, picks the phone and communicate well on a busy evening, helped valet my car. And she was doing all this while politely taking care of a long line of customers. Every restaurant needs one or more of such employees. So, I THANK YOU for your service!
Well, besides that, the host who took me to my sit, the Coat Check person, and our waiter were all pleasant. And we all enjoyed the food. I was proud of my choice! ;-)
Hope to see you soon!
We were there on valentines day, we had limited options for time so we dined early so it was quiet and extremely nice. Dinner and appetizer was excellent, the dessert was good, its unusual when dessert is the least favorite part of the meal. The service was very good, no complaints but the food and atmosphere were the better part of the evening.
amazing experience as always; we feel like we are with family when we are at aldo's; another great job by S@@@ the owner, and B@@@ the server.
We celebrated a wonderful, pre-Valentine’s Day dinner with friends. The service was outstanding, as was the meal. Can’t wait to go back!
If I could, I would give it 11 out of 10 stars!!! But since I can’t, 5 stars all the way.
Drinks were made to perfection. Food from the apps to the dessert made for one of the best dining experiences I have every had. HIGHLY recommended you check out Aldo’s whether it’s a special occasion or for a night to go out and eat. Will definitely be going back.
We had a private room. The service was impeccable. I was contacted in the morning to confirm our reservation and to alert me to a map of driving directions that was available. I mentioned on the call that a member of our party had a pepper allergy. They went out of their way to make it possible to safely eat all the appetizers meant to be shared on the menu. It was a level of effort to accommodate that we have rarely encountered. Every dish is made to order. The food was truly exceptional. The server was so professional. We will certainly make this our new restaurant for special occasions in Baltimore. I cannot say enough about the quality and exceptionalism of this restaurant.
One of the best dining experiences of my life. A party of 8 and we were seated in one of Aldo's little corners/rooms for a semi-private night of perfection. Our waiter, Joe, gave us a small tour of the wine cellar and upstairs rooms, and capped off our special dinner by bringing us each a glass of homemade limoncello (so delicious my daughter bought her own bottle). And we were even lucky enough to have Sergio stop by for a short conversation. Sure, this is a higher-priced meal, but the food was worth every penny and the experience was priceless. Thanks to Sergio, Joe, and everyone at Aldo's!
As always wonderful food and excellent service!
Aldos is the best Italian restaurant in Baltimore!
Excellent service, and the dessert menu is amazing-highly recommend the chocolate mousse.
We went during Restaurant Week. The menu for Restaurant Week was very similar to last year's menu, but we did not mind. The food was good. The service was slow but pleasant; I think they got very busy on the last day of Restaurant Week. It is still one of my favorite restaurants for special occasion dinners.
Service and food was excellent as other visits. The ingredients were simple, high quality, and executed with perfection.
Service was very slow especially for a fixed menu
After order entrees it look 1+hr to receive food, others around who were seated after us got their food first. At one point we were given the wrong food and taken away. Not sure what happened there
Gratuity was included for two people @20% ??
Waiter walked by and shattered a glass and didn’t clean it up for 15min.... pretty dangerous imo
Perfect! Outstanding menu, courses served professionally and well timed with piping hot mouth watering delivery. Make reservation today!
Fabulous first time dining expect! David took wonderful care of us. All good and drink was beautifully presented and flavorful. We will be back.
Absolutely as good as I remember it to be. We dined early just after they opened and had a small quiet room up front to ourselves most of the evening. The waiter was attentive without being bothersome and his suggestions worked out well for us. WE look forward to returning once again.
Excellent birthday dinner. The food was very good and our Waiter (Joe) was excellent.
AMAZING food and service for my husband’s birthday celebration. Reminded us of a recent trip to Italy. Will definitely return for another experience.
Outstanding food and service
Aldo does it right everytime. Very professional ownership, great servers and well prepared dishes. If you haven't been, treat yourself .
Loved it. Veal chop is the best you’ll ever have.
This was our first time at Aldo's and it will not be our last. The décor is lovely, traditional and gentle without being overdone. The service was excellent! Our friends had the special two pastas split which they found to be very satisfying. One in our party is Italian and a very knowledgeable cook. She was very impressed with the quality of the pasta and the sauces!
My Branzino was perfectly cooked with a nice topping of cherry tomatoes that were beautifully seasoned...delicious! (I was a bit disappointed that I found quite a few small, sharp bones in the fish.) My potatoes were a surprise. They were large crisped slices. I really enjoyed the crispiness along with the moist and creamy potato; but, I was surprised to see the price which was not included in the dish. It was $7 for about 5 or 6 slices of potato. I thought that was a bit overboard.
My husband's Veal Francese was tender and well seasoned. The quantities were generous, we all had leftovers.
We will visit again but not order as many appetizers, salads and desserts. It is a lovely restaurant with excellent food; but, a bit expensive for frequent dinners. I wanted to chose a special New Year's dinner and we certainly had a special treat at Aldo's. We will tell our friends about this perfect Italian Restaurant for a special dinner. We could see why they had so many accolades and honors in the Italian Restaurant World!
Food was very good but literally had no food delivered for an hour at our table. For $120 pre fixe dinner, service should be pristine. Disappointed.
Incredible menu. Everything perfect!
Aldo's is our go to place in Little Italy Baltimore. The cellar is memorable for special intimate occasions and the dining areas are quaint enough for a casual night out (as ours was) to a special occasion with your family or significant other. Joe, our server, was thoughtful and personable. No rush, no stress, just relax and enjoy. We'll definitely request him on our next visit. The food is clearly handmade with fresh ingredients and the taste proves it, from the meatball appetizer (be sure to have bread to enjoy the last savory trails of sauce), caprese salad with white balsamic, to any of the italian dishes (we had Orecchiette Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, and Rigatoni Bolognese). So delectable! Cap it off with the lemoncello profiteroles, Oh my, Delicious!
Except ISSO Bucco
Great food and service! Very charming. Limoncello is a MUST.
Food is always great. We had to wait a while for our server though. They need to make their valet service better.
It started at the bar with a wonderful bartender who has a knack for names and drinks. She was very warm and kept us engaged and cared for.
The food was outstanding. Every dish was special in its own right, including the dessert.
Totally worth every dime. Go tonight and go back often!
