We went during Restaurant Week. The menu for Restaurant Week was very similar to last year's menu, but we did not mind. The food was good. The service was slow but pleasant; I think they got very busy on the last day of Restaurant Week. It is still one of my favorite restaurants for special occasion dinners.
Service and food was excellent as other visits. The ingredients were simple, high quality, and executed with perfection.
Service was very slow especially for a fixed menu
After order entrees it look 1+hr to receive food, others around who were seated after us got their food first. At one point we were given the wrong food and taken away. Not sure what happened there
Gratuity was included for two people @20% ??
Waiter walked by and shattered a glass and didn’t clean it up for 15min.... pretty dangerous imo
Perfect! Outstanding menu, courses served professionally and well timed with piping hot mouth watering delivery. Make reservation today!
Fabulous first time dining expect! David took wonderful care of us. All good and drink was beautifully presented and flavorful. We will be back.
Absolutely as good as I remember it to be. We dined early just after they opened and had a small quiet room up front to ourselves most of the evening. The waiter was attentive without being bothersome and his suggestions worked out well for us. WE look forward to returning once again.
Excellent birthday dinner. The food was very good and our Waiter (Joe) was excellent.
AMAZING food and service for my husband’s birthday celebration. Reminded us of a recent trip to Italy. Will definitely return for another experience.
Outstanding food and service
Aldo does it right everytime. Very professional ownership, great servers and well prepared dishes. If you haven't been, treat yourself .
Loved it. Veal chop is the best you’ll ever have.
This was our first time at Aldo's and it will not be our last. The décor is lovely, traditional and gentle without being overdone. The service was excellent! Our friends had the special two pastas split which they found to be very satisfying. One in our party is Italian and a very knowledgeable cook. She was very impressed with the quality of the pasta and the sauces!
My Branzino was perfectly cooked with a nice topping of cherry tomatoes that were beautifully seasoned...delicious! (I was a bit disappointed that I found quite a few small, sharp bones in the fish.) My potatoes were a surprise. They were large crisped slices. I really enjoyed the crispiness along with the moist and creamy potato; but, I was surprised to see the price which was not included in the dish. It was $7 for about 5 or 6 slices of potato. I thought that was a bit overboard.
My husband's Veal Francese was tender and well seasoned. The quantities were generous, we all had leftovers.
We will visit again but not order as many appetizers, salads and desserts. It is a lovely restaurant with excellent food; but, a bit expensive for frequent dinners. I wanted to chose a special New Year's dinner and we certainly had a special treat at Aldo's. We will tell our friends about this perfect Italian Restaurant for a special dinner. We could see why they had so many accolades and honors in the Italian Restaurant World!
Food was very good but literally had no food delivered for an hour at our table. For $120 pre fixe dinner, service should be pristine. Disappointed.
Incredible menu. Everything perfect!
Aldo's is our go to place in Little Italy Baltimore. The cellar is memorable for special intimate occasions and the dining areas are quaint enough for a casual night out (as ours was) to a special occasion with your family or significant other. Joe, our server, was thoughtful and personable. No rush, no stress, just relax and enjoy. We'll definitely request him on our next visit. The food is clearly handmade with fresh ingredients and the taste proves it, from the meatball appetizer (be sure to have bread to enjoy the last savory trails of sauce), caprese salad with white balsamic, to any of the italian dishes (we had Orecchiette Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, and Rigatoni Bolognese). So delectable! Cap it off with the lemoncello profiteroles, Oh my, Delicious!
Except ISSO Bucco
Great food and service! Very charming. Limoncello is a MUST.
Food is always great. We had to wait a while for our server though. They need to make their valet service better.
It started at the bar with a wonderful bartender who has a knack for names and drinks. She was very warm and kept us engaged and cared for.
The food was outstanding. Every dish was special in its own right, including the dessert.
Totally worth every dime. Go tonight and go back often!
amazing as always great service great food great times
The food was amazing! The service was very good with the exception of waiter not waiting for a quick pause in conversation before interrupting the table. Simple etiquette.
The food was not great on our dining experience. The shrimp from the shrimp scampi was squishy and soft. The calamari was not up to standards and the veal Francesca was horrible. It wasn’t edible and tasted extremely poor. Luckily the dessert were good, but nothing to special. Overall it was a very dissatisfying dinner
Limited but very effective menu. Service was excellent the evening we were there. Definitely a return trip.
The pasta is great but the wine prices are completely absurd - terrible value - buyer beware.
Ciao! TY for your feedback. While we feel confident most of our wine pricing is in line w/ our benchmark restaurants, it's possible a mistake was made. Would you pls message us at info@aldositaly with more details? If there is a misprint or mistake, we'd like to correct that. Thank you! FYI: BYOB wines are always welcome at Aldo's ($35/btl corkage fee) and... FREE corkage every Monday. So you're welcome to bring your favorite bottle of wine at no charge on Mondays! Simply the best restaurant in Baltimore. Alex, our server was and always is as good as it gets. The food is a step above any other place.
We loved Aldo's - every thing we ordered was amazing. One of our favorite meals in recent years. We can't wait to go back.
Great experience! Came here for our anniversary, have been here a few times before, food was fantastic and staff is always great and very friendly, will always go back to aldos.
Aldo's is my favorite Baltimore restaurant. I love the atmosphere and the food is always excellent. Victor was our waiter and he was great. I go to Aldo's every time I travel to Baltimore. This trip was for a special occasion and the staff made my family feel great! I appreciate the owners and staff. Definitely a 10!
Not very many options for gluten & dairy free.
The finest Italian restaurant in Baltimore! Best bolognese anywhere! And the burrata and tomatoes- oh la la!!!
Menu is excellent. There are so many choices on the menu you think what you want to have the next time you come back! All the pastas are homemade and the sauces are full bodied, tasty and not overseasoned.
The entrees come in an appetizer portion or a full entree choice which is wonderful for those who do not want to leave stuffed and uncomfortable, often a feeling that ruins the experience of an excellent restaurant. I can't wait to go back!
A wonderful meal! Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. The food was outstanding start to finish. The mushroom risotto was the best I've ever tasted and the carbonara melted in my mouth. One thing that my wife and I found interesting was that the wait staff wore tuxedos but the man who greeted us wore an open collar shirt with no jacket. Also, the host who seated us, stood idly by while I walked around him to pull out my wife's chair. Napkins were not placed in laps. It just seemed inconsistent with the overall ambiance, prices and quality of the restaurant.
Outstanding experience. Great value, exceptional service and atmosphere. Food was amazing.
Wonderful service, great food as always!
Absolutely spectacular meal in the private wine cellar..my clients raved about it. The only criticism is that the waiter was pouring a different bottle of wine into the same glasses claiming they were out of wine glasses. Spoke with him and he apologized.
The pastas are all home made and done to perfection...strongly recommend if you are in Baltimore
Fantastic meal and fantastic service, could have done without the screaming toddler at another table but that wasn't their fault!
