Alder’s kitchen is centered around its wood-fired grill and hearth. For the menu, Chef Patrick Kriss of the award-winning and nationally acclaimed Alo Food Group draws inspiration from traditions and techniques long-practiced in and around the Mediterranean – spanning Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Morocco. De la part des éditeur·rice·s d'OpenTable: Le bois soigneusement empilé sous les escaliers d'entrée d’Alder annonce l’accent mis par le restaurant sur les saveurs cuites au feu de bois. This is our second time at Alder. We were so blown away with the service the first time that we needed to go back for our anniversary. We got complementary glasses of champagne upon seating. Everyone congratulated us on our anniversary which was a pleasant surprise. The food was just as amazing as the time we went for brunch.

I had called in advance to see if two additional people could join our table and the staff gave me an extremely hard time and said that it was not possible to accomodate. The food was not great in consideration of price range - price and the quality of the food did not match up. Wouldn't recommend. If you're at the Ace Hotel, just hang out upstairs at the lounge bar - much better experience.

Excellent quality - both food and service. We very much enjoyed our meal as well as the wine pairing. The staff were well informed and customer service centric. we had a great evening.

What a great place!! My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed. I have Crohn’s Disease and am very sensitive to gluten and they accommodated me with no issue. Super friendly staff and the food was INCREDIBLE! Get the coconut cream pie, it’s worth the calories!
