Booked this place based on a Yelp review, and it couldn't have been more right. The food was great, service was outstanding and overall experience was wonderful. A tad noisy, perhaps, but not bad at all. We were there for a business meeting, and it really wasn't an issue. Also, the "long bar" looks fun, though we didn't sit at it. Highly recommend this place.

Great food and service. We had the onion dip and chips which was excellent. We also had the burgers which were heavenly. The chocolate pudding dessert was just average. Overall excellent food.

Excellent food, tremendous service, and a nice atmosphere. We actually sat outside on a warm May evening and enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you, Brittany.

I really loved my cocktail, and thought the food was all very good. I ordered a side dish along with my brunch entrée, however, it did not come out until after I had finished. It did taste good, but I would have liked to have had cheesy grits with the bacon and egg biscuit I had. The biscuit sandwich itself was alrght. It was a bit messy with the tomato jelly and had a lot of fennel in it (which I am not a big fan of ). Apparently, they bring out dishes as they are ready, but it was strange to have a side dish after the fact.

While I would rate the food a 3, the service barely met a 1. We were a party of 4. Yet, only 2 of the 4 were served their meals timely. The other two were left to watch us eat as their meals did not show up until we were well done with ours. Even more disturbing was the very delayed serving of softly scrambled eggs that in fact were hard scrambled eggs. Yet because of the delay already imposed on us we were left to eat an unsatisfactory and tasteless meal. The end result. Poorly cooked, poorly served and poorly digested food. We came to brunch to experience food, together. Not only did this not occur, but there was not even an apology from the staff. This is unacceptable. To top off the experience, we were told that we would be given a parking voucher. Ha. $1 off of a garage fee.

Where they succeeded in imagination they lacked in execution. Multiple dishes tasted pretty bad and that’s not even taking into account their exorbitant price for half of the food being average at best. One and a half of the five dishes were fantastic but that’s what I was expecting across the board. And not just for some of it. There’s better places to spend your money.

Great food. Please note if you are visiting from another country (which I’m sure is very common in Cambridge), they are very strict with ID. I recommend bringing a passport!

Very attentive staff and fun atmosphere. Food was good but nothing outstanding compared to the price. For a large group we were only give a tiny plate of picked beans, wouldve been nice to have something like bread for the table once we all were waiting after ordered drinks and apps.

Alden and Harlow was packed on Mother's Day night and a bit short staffed. However, everyone working there was in a good humor and did as much as humanly possible to make the meal enjoyable and pleasant. It was my wife's first visit, and she was delighted by the mackerel. I had one of my favorite cocktails, a spicy Bloody Mary, and the wonderful bread pudding for dessert. On all previous occasions, the secret burger was sold out. This time it was available. It was great! But I won't need to eat again for about two days. It's huge!!!

Delicious and innovative food. Service was friendly but inadequate. One entree arrived after the dessert. Loud atmosphere. Would go back for the food.

As always, Alden & Harlow delivers. This was probably my best meal there yet and the service was incredible. The trout we ate was out of this world and we loved the Kale Salad and Hamachi Crudo. Truly Boston’s best restaurant.

The food was fantastic and quite unique in flavors and aromas presentation (a beautiful change for a city that has 9,999 Italian / Irish / American restaurants with little variety in menus and flavors). This is a place with nicely curated dishes that are affordable and just packed with flavor. I think the only two things I'd comment on was 1) my daughter got a cracked glass that shattered when she picked it up (luckily didn't cut herself) and the wait staff immediately changed our table. We didn't know for awhile who was taking care of us as they were absolutely slammed. Finally when I asked the other waitress, she explained that she was our server. She was great in everything, but the place does get very busy. Second, I think their beer menu needs a little bit of work on selection and prices. Besides these two things, its a great place I will be coming back to and highly recommending to everyone else. Fantastic food and deserts all around!

My 2nd time - another fantastic meal. The menu changes frequently, which is great by me. Each dish we picked was truly delicious. There were 5 of us and we got 9 dishes. A hungrier crew would have wanted a bit more. Not a plate in the batch. We especially loved the latkes and charred broccoli. The service was fantastic. Great drink selection - they don’t have your standard hard alcohol. Everything is small batch.

Great service and meal, although I was surprised how loud it was even after 9 pm. The waitstaff is attentive and knowledgeable about how each dish is prepared and the source of the dish’s ingredients. My friend picked this restaurant for the rabbit and I ordered the root vegetable latkes at the server’s suggestion. We cleaned our plates. Alden & Harlow is my favorite excuse to come to Cambridge and impress my friends from out of town.

The menu had good choices for vegetarians as well . Service was rushed which did not make it a fun experience . The server didn’t tell us about the specials but when the next table party of four sat next to us the Same waiter gave them the specials and very thorough explanations of the items on the menu . We enjoyed the lentil humus as snack but the olive oil sourdough bread with zatar was overpriced and didn’t taste as good as the kale salad and the humus . I ordered the root vegetable latke which was flavorful and very different . My partner had the hamburger with potato chips and we should have asked if they offered fries instead ! Next time we will ask the waiter to give us some time between each course instead of rushing us and taking the empty plates as soon as we were done

Food was overly buttery and sugary. They try to get you to buy more food by bringing everything out as it’s ready, even though the plates feed one and the food/presentation is not designed to share. Total waste of time and money, was really disappointed.

Went here for Sunday brunch from the recommendation of our Air Bnb host who said it was her favorite restaurant in Boston. Everything we had was over-the-top delicious! Recommend sharing so you can taste lots of different dishes. The two of us had the avocado crab toast, patatas bravas, and cinnamom roll...WOW YUM!! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Boston.
