It was awfully loud and exceptionally busy for a Monday night, but the food was excellent. At one point, they brought out some chips and dip (which were surprisingly good for literally being chips and dip) as an apology for the last dish taking longer than expected. (We had not complained and didn't think it was all that long, really.)

Anyway, every dish we had was fantastic, with one exception: the pork belly and grits dish was still enjoyable, but the cut of pork belly we had was over 3/4 fat. I swear, that's NOT an exaggeration. And I love fat and pork belly fat and all that… but this was too much fat.

p.s. the almond torte was amazing.

An interesting, if somewhat small-ish menu. Good variety of salads and vegetable plates (all meant to be shared), as well as other dishes of a more "Meatly" nature. The "Secret Burger" is a real standout.

Excellent dining experience, enjoying 8 delicious dishes among the four of us. Each dish not only interesting, but multiple flavors distinct and yummy. Servers all warm helpful and knowledgeable about ingredients and preparations. The space, even though lovely under the window, was a bit crowded so we were sometimes distracted by other diners. We will definitely recommend. Thanks to all.

Great job to your team for making the 5 of us feel very welcome! I have small children and they were loving every bite. Thanks for making them feel right at home, and for the quality dining experience. Everything we ordered was great!

Food good, not great. Expected it to be more “wow” than it was, especially for the price. The interior of the restaurant is quite nice, but the music was horrid. Far too loud, hip hop rap club music. The music/ noise made it very hard to converse, relax and enjoy our meal. Our waitress was great. I really liked the sour cider I ordered.

If we go again it won’t be late at night, to avoid brain-beating music, and would most likely be just for drinks and a couple of snacks.

The smell in the back of the restaurant where we sat was unpleasant, very porky-sweaty smelling. Perhaps not the best choice of restaurant for me, a vegetarian.

My father has Parkinson’s. The fellow who appeared to be a supervisor or manager ( 20’s, tall, thin, bearded, glasses) was quite nice and attentive to my father. He voluntarily got my dad a chair while we were waiting for our table, and later held the door for him when we left. This graciousness was much appreciated.

A friend and I shared five plates (they're somewhat bigger than your average tapas) and every one of them was delicious. Her favorite was the braised rabbit over farinata (cream of wheat, only much better) with smoked almonds and olives, but I thought the whole wheat garganelli with lamb, greens, fennel and ricotta was even better. Their cocktail menu is impressive, but I just ordered a vodka gimlet and it was about perfect.
Between the cocktails and the multiple dishes, this gets pricy pretty quickly, but it's worth it.

Our waiter, Adam, was fantastic. Helpful but not overbearing, not hovering but always checking in to see if we wanted more small plates or drinks. Food and atmosphere great too. Loud but that's just because so popular. Great spot.

We have been wanting to go here for years, and we should have gone sooner. It was excellent! It is a "tapas" style restaurant with highly inventive food, so really fun to share a lot of different tastes. We had a super waiter who helped us navigate the menu. It's a very crowded space, and fairly noisy, but we were able to enjoy our meal and converse. Not too expensive, so overall an excellent value.

The bill will add up, so it's not a cheap evening, but every dish we had was delicious and unusual. Nothing you would ever cook at home and lots of interesting combinations. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Good craft beers on tap. Definitely recommend for a date night or getting together with friends.

The pickled Verrill farm corn pancakes were a marvelous surprise, and if the brussel sprouts with burnt honey crema, apple, and chili weren't *quite* as good as the brussel sprouts in garlic yogurt at Zaytinya in D.C., they still were excellent. Can't wait to go back!

We had a birthday meal here for a friend - we looked forward to it being a festive place. But the servers seemed to give us a hard time about ordering a cheaper bottle of wine, and also were not very warm and welcoming. We were disappointed by the service, but the food was fantastic.

Food was good although the first several small plates came out all at once. I would have enjoyed it more if they had been spaced out more evenly. Music was loud but otherwise we had an enjoyable evening.

Well organized very diverse menu, plenty of options, almost too many!! Very creative dishes and a great chance to try new things. Prices are not cheap, but not unfair, expect between 13-17 per plate and 2-4 plates per person depending on how hungry you are. I would highly recommend for a light meal. Don't expect to come away feeling stuffed.

Very attentive service team. Food was well prepared and presented. Beverage service is excellent. The manager did graciously reduce the noise level since the speakers right over our table were blasting hip hop into our ears, making conversation difficult. I’ll return.
Would have scored it a 5 but for the noise.

We had the spiralized pumpkin salad, charred broccoli, steak, and stew. Everything was amazing and very thoughtfully prepared. We took home a significant amount of leftovers. Prices seemed reasonable.

I saw a few notes about the noise level, so I'd add that it was completely reasonable (just enough to create privacy) until around 10pm, when we were about ready to leave anyway, when the music was turned up. It made sense for a bar scene at that point, though - it wasn't at need-to-shout volume yet, just louder than I would've liked for dinner.

The smokiness of some of the menu items comes through as excessively salty--much more than is necessary. The food is well-presented and the selections are creative.

Love this spot for brunch - smaller plates let you taste a little bit of everything, and nothing disappoints. The bloody mary is amazing.

Overall I felt rushed through the entire dinner. The host staff weren't very friendly. The menu is limited. Our plates came out very quickly and in a strange order - the most entree-like plate came first where our snack (which was 2 chunks of bread with smeared butter for $8) came last.

We shared several plates between the four of us, and that was a great way to experience this restaurant. I can highly recommend the grilled haloumi, fried Brussels sprouts, charred broccoli, chips and onion dip, and ubiquitous kale salad. The bluefish entree was excellent. So much umami in this place!

I came here for my boyfriend's birthday, and I think we were both impressed with the quality of the food and the presentation.

The food was very unique and it had a fresh twist on some classic entrees. I really felt like a foodie in this setting (especially since I couldn't pronounce half the ingredients) and the whole evening had a fantastic ambience.

The one drawback was how expensive everything was compared to the portion sizes. I had the Sweet Potato Agnolotti and he had the Hush Puppies and both felt more of a tapas style plate rather than an entrée, which was disappointing when the price tag on each was $16 and over!

We paired our food with a bottle of white wine (one of the cheapest on the menu), but was highly impressed with their selection, even for a lower priced wine.

Great place overall!

Plusses: The food is outstanding and the beer selection is very well curated. The space is visually pleasing as well. Minuses: The noise level is really excessive. My dining companion and I could not hear one another even when leaning in. A smaller issue that nevertheless diminished the ambience is that the shared plates idea is wonderful but the tables themselves are not large enough to accommodate the size of the plates in multiple, so the table was extremely crowded and tough to navigate.
