Love this place; always a five star experience for us.
We had a great time here (as we always do) and totally recommend this place for any occasion. Couldn’t say better things about their food and amazing service.
My daughter and her fiance took me to brunch here on Father's Day (at my recommendation). They had not been before ... but loved the food. Our server was attentive and helpful. The dishes were delightful, and we all had more than enough to keep us full for the day. No one rushed us and we had a pleasant time before going to a play at the A.R.T. up the street.
Our son and daughter-in-law brought us here and we could not have more impressed. The food was unbelievable. I truly have no idea how they came up with the dishes but WOW. They were all amazing.
Our server was excellent. Service was great. She forgot the drink order and when we asked about it mid-way through the meal, she immediately apologized, brought the drinks and comped them. Restaurant was very good about accommodating any food allergies. Would be happy to eat there again
Went for a late brunch on a Saturday with friends - menu has a little bit of everything, most are quite tasty. Vibes are bright and warm but was a little quiet/empty for early afternoon. Dishes are on the small side. Cocktails were great. Wasn't my first time dining there, won't be my last (:
Food was creative and delicious. We just wish it didn’t come out so fast! We felt a bit rushed.
The food here is amazing! Highly recommend it, as well as the cocktails. Just a heads up that the burger, though delicious, is slightly larger than the other dishes so you shouldn't order it as one of many tapas!
Always my go to when I'm in Cambridge.
Had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious! Service was wonderful. It was a little bit loud for catching up with friends, but the great food and vibe made up for it. I would love to go back.
I had heard a lot about Alden and Harlow and tickets to the A.R.T. provided the perfect reason to make a reservation. What we quickly found was that everything that I heard was accurate. The menu is full of interesting and creative dishes and choosing what to get was really difficult. Luckily, the small plate concept allowed us to try several and each was excellent. We are excited to return in the future and further explore the menu.
Great place for unique food for brunch. We had experienced chef Michael Scelfo's cooking at "The Ordinary" restaurant at Charleston Food and Wine event in Charleston SC in March of this year. We were so impressed with Michael Scelfo that we knew we had to eat at Alden and Harlow. We were not disappointed. It was fabulous. Our waiter knew of our reason for being there and treated us to a homemade rhubarb pop tart. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Delicious range of brunch offerings from small plates to sandwiches. Don't miss the cocktails.
Third time at Alden and Harlow, my partner's first time. We got the burger, sausage and potato skillet, and berry buckle. Berry buckle was a lot bigger than expected, great for value. Cheese sauce in sausage and potato skillet was savory, overall dish was scrumptious. Looking forward to coming back!
The food was delicious but the servings were very small. I would have gotten an appetizer or a second entree had I known how small it was.
I love love love alden and harlow. Its my favorite restaurant. The food is the main draw and it is not just delicious but always surprising . The service was also awesome and the vibe is very cool and chill. Its a great date or night out spot.
My wife and I made a last minute reservation for our anniversary. We will able to sit outside and enjoy the lively activity of just outside of Harvard Square. Our server was great at guiding us through the menu which was an adventure of taste and spice, one dish at a time. It was delicious and really fun. Very relaxed and easy dining. Would definitely return.
Innovative menu that makes you want to eat your vegetables. Attentive professional staff. Calming hip vibe. Love this place.
Brussels sprouts are delicious...kale salad, as other reviews noted, is a healthy sized portion and also delicious, especially with the kale crunchy pieces. Beer is overpriced which is my biggest complaint. Great bartenders and overall service!
The setting is very nice, right in Harvard Square. Food was good, fresh and local. We weren't real pleased with the waiter though. We will go back, probably sit at the bar.
There's a reason A&H is always jammed.....the food is so inventive and delicious! We love it.
We got seated right at 6:00. We ordered as soon as our server came over to us and then didn’t get out food until 7:15. We had to ask repeatedly for our drinks and ended up paying our check before our food even arrived because we had a play to get to. Super disappointing.
As requested we were seated in the greenhouse area. Everything was perfect and my European guests thought the food was delicious. Wonderful evening. Thank you!
Good but unfortunately no secret burger for our group!!!
The service was great - The food was good Nothing special
Great casual atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable service, very creative and nicely presented menu items. I am not a vegetarian but could become one with the corn pancakes and asparagus dishes. Would recommend highly
Ate here on a Sunday evening after a show at the ART. The menu is tapas, the food is interesting and delicious. Our favorite was the roasted brussel sprouts- really delicious. We also enjoyed the special burger, broccoli with squash and hummus, the chicken thighs, and a semolina cake dessert. The chicken was our least favorite. Meal for 3 people (we shared 4 tapas, had 2 drinks each, and shared a single dessert) came to $50 each including tip and tax.
There is a reason Alden and Harlow is my favorite restaurant! The food is amazing- I have never had something I did not like and the services is great! Very friendly staff who are always willing through our their favorite suggestions!
Great place for dinner and a unique menu. Our waiter was excellent.
The food had lots of ingredients but was generally bland
Incredible, attentive staff and delicious food. Made one our special day a lot more special. Thank you!
Thank you so, so much for being so accommodating with the number of people in my party. It made all the difference to host our dinner guests for a professional event.
On Friday, June 1, I had the occasion to dine at Alden & Harlow before seeing a play at the American Repertory Theatre. Our meal was a truly exceptional start the the evening and the weekend. My dinner companion is a vegetarian, and Alden & Harlow has a wide-range of unique vegetarian options with combinations and dishes that one is unlikely to attempt at home. It was a truly transformative experience from the usual Harvard Square fare.
The food here is always top quality but this last time the service wasn’t so great. Food came fast once we ordered but each time we wanted to request something whether food, a round of drinks or the bill, the waiter was nowhere to be found. Strange for a not-busy Thursday evening.
The pacing of the food was terrible. We ordered 5 dishes and they all came at once. By the time we ate everything the final dishes were cold.
Food was amazing. 5 small plates, each delicious. Service attentive and well paced. And price very reasonable for quality. Highly recommend.
This was my first time back to Alden and Harlow in several years and I found myself wondering why it took me so long, though I do remember it being relatively noisy when crowded. On Tuesday, however, my husband and I ate outdoors, in an area only opened this year. The ambience was exceptional. Quiet and cozy in contrast to bustling and loud. And, the food and service, were exceptional. As I remembered, there is a nice large selection of tapas for vegetarians, and I left thinking about what I would order when I returned.
great, creative food, well presented, great for vegetarians
We have eaten here many times before going to the theater at the ART. They have all been good, but this was our best meal---great food!
